Politics › Re: By Conceding Defeat, Jonathan Averted Evil - Fashola by Medley(m): 8:36am On May 21, 2015
you Just can deny the fact that GEJ played a major role in allowing peace and tension by conceding defeat,no matter how you paint a picture that when his house rent has expired and he had no choice.
Politics › Re: APC In Rivers Paid About 300m To Stop Wike Swearing In by Medley(m): 8:31am On May 21, 2015
It's just so embarassing that no APC high placed member could speak to Amaechi and rivers APC for their continuing neglect for the law and peace. Amaechi,in saner climes, would not even be remembered for being a worthy governor after he brought the state Judiciary that he benefited wholly from to a failed state. Imagine he is happy that a bayelsa chief judge is being drafted to his state.
Politics › Re: Should The New Automotive Industry Policy Be Discontinued By The Buhari Regime? by Medley(op): 7:05pm On May 19, 2015
rottennaija:
What is the long term effect if I may ask?
short term: the price of the manufactured cars may be high due to the number of car manufacturers that have started their operations in Nigeria.

Long term: other car manufacturers that knows that Nigerians prefer going with their private car, even when the journey is just a few blocks.
2. That the Nigerian auto market is a profitable investment.
3. The only hinderance being the auto policy will cause big car manufacturing companies to locate their manufacturing industry here in Nigeria and build car for the Nigerian economy and environment.

We are talking of Job for our farmers(timber and forestry),graduate in different course field(electrical, electronic, mechanical, etc.), CSR, foreign exchange and more for indirect job creation.

What is the advantage of locally produced cars if the cost of purchase is in millions? It is well known that only a minute percentage of the population is wealthy. Majority are poor and this wealthy once will rather purchased new cars produced outside the country than buy locally produced cars. There, the revenue generated will be small and the investors will be discourage.

What the government can do should be to encourage the local car manufacturers to produce cars that will be cheap, so that Nigerians will be encouraged to buy instead. So instead of looking for second hand tokunbo cars, they will then patronize the locally produced cars.
you should be considering the long term effects, It far outweighs the short-term losses

Joagbaje:
Yes sin do open doors of affliction on people but it's not a general thing . Some affliction comes medically or naturally some comes as attack of the enemy .and Some come for Gods glory .

John 9:2-3
And his disciples asked him, saying, Master, who did sin, this man, or his parents, that he was born blind? Jesus answered, Neither hath this man sinned, nor his parents: but that the works of God should be made manifest in him.
since this was before Jesus' death is it still amenable after his death?

cjrane:
Yes, discontinue it.
It has caused bad market for used car importers.
but if we consider the long-term benefit, that will lead to competiveness in the Nigerian market, leading to affordable car price and environmental friendly cars. Further, the Job creation will reduce unemployment and other indirect jobs it will create.
Politics › Should The New Automotive Industry Policy Be Discontinued By The Buhari Regime? by Medley(op):
The policy which have seen the increase on the import duty paid on the importation of second hand cars, also called tokunbo cars rise from from 35% to 70% in a bid to reduce and discourage importation of this cars to allow the growth for indigineous investment of car manufacturers in Nigeria.

The automotive industry development plan is also meant to inturn lead to massive job creation and provision of employment to about 700,000 people.

As indicated in this source:
www.nigeriatradehub.gov.ng/News/tabid/98/entryid/183/will-the-new-automotive-policy-give-us-affordable-made-in-nigeria-car.aspx

Unfortunately, after the introduction of the policy only a minute few companies have shown interest and some are yet to start the production in Nigeria.

Conversely, the policy instead of bringing about revenue to the government in import duty fees and other surcharges and levy, have seen neighbouring countries benefits from our Nigerian port substituted for other neighbouring African countries, who have since used the neighbouring countries as their port of destination for second hand cars importation.

As indicated from this source:
www.leadership.ng/news/417740/nigerias-neighbours-profiting-from-its-new-automotive-policy

Indicating that the number of imported cars has reduced from 27,000 units imported(January 2014) to 8,000(January 2015).

Should the new automotive policy be discontinued by the new regime of Muhammadu Buhari?

Everybody cannot be a boss, there re professionals working in facebook, microsoft and thousands of global companies. Surely they need professionals to work and make the company great, even when you have your company or become a boss you also need your workers to be professionals. Some Nigerians are shortsighted and ignorants.
you've made your point, why then result to insults. We all know only a few have the enterpreneural skill and can take the risk to invest in new businesses. My post was made to encourage the ''few''
Christianity Etc › Sinful Acts Inflicts Sicknesses And Diseases On A Sinner by Medley(op): 10:44am On May 17, 2015
considering the fact that most scenarios where Jesus healed people,he said to them afterwards to go and sin no more. Is it apts to conclude that sicknesses and diseases people are facing were brought upon them due to their sinful acts?

Please stop!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! shocked

Did you take a moment to review what you typed before hitting "submit"??... He appeased the north by allowing BH to decimate their nos... right huh?

Or is it the useless almajiri schools he wasted public funds on that counts as development in your estimation?

What exactly did he do for the north huh!!!!
don't persuade me to stop, its my opinion. The agricultural strides were benefited by the south-south - where their land have been rendered useless by oil exploration,or do you want to say he achieved nothing in agriculture in your own records? Have you been to any of the university in the north? Go and check the history of your university and affirm about how it started,if all the building there now was existing before.

So the almajiri school was a waste of public fund in your perspective? do you value what education can do to a man? May God help us

You don't need all this body posture guidelines if you are your own boss. Lets encourage topics that will instill entrepreneural spirit on Nigerians, else leaders of tomorrow, will always be a future unrealistic term

in doing this anti-corruption fight he should also wait to confirm if someone is corrupt before declaring them saints - abacha comes to mind. Lets see if APC members will be part of this tenure numerous probes

so far the true state of the nation is told and not a lie and deceit of gargatuan nature, that will precede stealing to settle party members who invested in the elections.

what was the major undoing of president GEJ was that he wanted to appease the north in his first term, with the hope that when he wins in 2019 he will use federal resources to develop south-south,he forgot in the north their allegience is to themselves.

Have you asked the question why he just approved some project now and why he tried to move the LADOL port project to bayelsa?

I will conclude that APC is power thirsty when the next INEC chairman is appointed - if the person is of questionable character, and when elections are conducted under them..

“I am saying so because Buhari is
inheriting an empty treasury. Secondly, Buhari has come in when the price of oil has gone down, and thirdly, Buhari has come in when a lot of controversies are on, particularly regarding the resources of the country which cannot be accounted for.”

we need to diversify our Economy if the dwindling oil prices is seen as the major threat to our development. What is the basis for this issue about no money in our treasure,it shouldn't be a reason for non-performance.
Politics › Re: War Over Constitution Amendment: Senate Mobilises Against Jonathan by Medley(m): 3:01am On May 13, 2015
''the president signed the bill only to recant on it''.

What has GEJ observed from the amendment that made him reneged from his previous stance?

Is it part of the sacrifices that GEJ said he want to make?

Are this events not part of the reasons Buhari is envisaging that he is the president at the wrong time of our history. I Just pray he is able to get things right even in this wrong time. Then history will re-write itself
Politics › Re: NEWS NUGGET - Adamu Mu'azu Humbles Up To Gov Fayose. by Medley(m): 2:33am On May 13, 2015
I guess the magnitude of destruction this man intends to inflict on PDP in order to make it become a party of the past is not yet complete, the co-manipulators have advised him to be more subtle.

PDP should not play into his scheme,he is not worthy to be a party chairman, haven lost in all and publicly challenged a major achiever(in fayose).
Politics › Re: South African Mercenaries' Secret War On Boko Haram by Medley(m):
why the noise about the use of the machineries(if true),other developed countries do same in high risk rescue operation(USA inclusive).

When most northern soldiers that dominates the Nigerian army were lukewarm about fighting their brothers, what do they expect from GEJ that people avered was sleeping on duty.

Though in future under the current regime this approach won't be encouraged cos it is a major concern for our stand as a major power in Africa
Politics › Re: Dana Unveil Made In Nigeria All-new Kia Sorento by Medley(m): 7:28am On May 12, 2015
what will be left of the fledgling automotive policy when the incumbent is long gone? Nigerians don't believe in short-time measures that will at first be hard on everyone, but in the long term it will create revenue for the economy and its attendant Job creattion.

Though Buhari did not talk about the policy during campaigns,i want a policy that will force car manufacturers to be operational right here in Nigeria, Its good for our economy.

Was the Economy exported before now? Cos i think i was not privy. What a Funny headline.

The obvious is that Buhari knows that the presidency position was won on a platter of Gold and he won't fail Nigerians, he will obliterare whatever it is that GEJ achieved.
Politics › Re: Fayose Orders Verification Of 48,977 Ekiti Workers by Medley(m): 7:33am On May 11, 2015
hate or love him, though he has his flaws; he puts the welfare of his people first, and ensures that Ekiti people never regret voting him. APC will hardly have a way in that state. Most of their governors are owing more than six months salary.
Politics › Re: Jonathan: I Can Sacrifice My Life For Nigeria’s Greatness by Medley(m): 7:28am On May 11, 2015
GEJ keep missing it - most Nigerians don't value sacrifices - it is alien to them. A case study is the quick concession of defeat, which many has rebuffed as nothing special, forgetting that someone even wanted a third term.
Politics › Re: ‘my Wives Know I’m A Criminal’ by Medley(m): 7:23am On May 11, 2015
revealing; what about your children? If they also know you are a criminal, then arise the need to quickly take the children for orientation and rehabilitation.

I wouldn't be surprised when tribal bigotry is introduced here, but we all should know that crime is not peculiar to one tribe, the next case may be from your tribe, and the vicious circle of tribal insults will continue. Lets see it as a Nigerian thing.

Politics › Re: Pressure Mounts On Mu’azu, Others To Resign Before May 29. by Medley(m): 7:13am On May 11, 2015
Adamu muazu,a filter of every statement you have been making after the elections, further shows that you are on a final quest to bury the party with your refusal to resign.

He even mocked fayose for his investigation that buhari's interview was not in london(which newspapers had to apologize), considering the fact that he never even said anything against buhari(issue based).

If truly he is not in PDP to bury it(as an agent of APC),let him resign. He want to fustrate party members and cause a bigger chaos.
