CrescentMoon: Lol, 2000 students! That's why photocopy biz is booming there - only a very students write notes. Just pray get employed by a big farm: that's where you will get access to practicals. I didn't want to let it be known that I have no practical experiences in school, but I was bombarded with tasks to treat animal, help animals with difficult births. I would keep vigil trying to salvage dystocia cases in pigs - I almost became a vet after series of personal research. Now before the arrival of a vet, I can battle most diseases to standstill. It is in the farm I gained full experience about feed formualation, biosafety measures etc. I worked in a farm during our previous strike, currently working in a vet clinic now. Add AGN, AEE and have more than 1500 students using 1000LT. My coursemates were looking at me as if I were a mercenary during exams because you would only see me in school for exams. I believe things are bad during your time, but now it is worst, we make use of 1000lt gay(at the T junction that leads to adenike and management). We are up to 2000 in Faculty of Agric, all the chairs you can sit on is not up to 750, the hall is fuckingly damaged, the Aph lab and Agn (in Nigeria), that is meant for 100 students, are now being used for 400 students at once. will pm you sir |

Thank you bro, These is a good question, I don't think any Nigeria government will pay for work not done willingly at these time. These is Y ASUU needs to sacrifice. N.b am not supporting the governors acion. |
Education › Re: Ajimobi, Aregbesola Not Sincere About LAUTECH Crisis — ASUU Chair by Meel: 1:59pm On Aug 06, 2017 |
SoldierBoy1: Guy the thing is asking the workers to sacrifice 10months salary would be nothing close to fair, a lot have taken loans that only God knows how they would pay back.... It's not like there is no money but these governors are just been adamant.... No one wants to work without a pay... Even if LAUTECH resume today and salaries remain unpaid how do you think the lecturers would survive with no salaries till 2019!!!..mind you the non payment started bit by bit till the governors made it a norm. Guy I have guys that had to drop out of private universities because of this issue. God bless. Bro am not saying, they should sacrifice, 10 month salary. The sacrifice am saying is that they should meet with management, and be running the school with the little IGR, with that the number of owed salaries will reduce. Am not sure of these, but the 10 month being owed is the 10 month of strike, not that they are working and not being paid. We are on our own, ASUU and student. We have a bleeped up govt, unless we try and better the ground for our self, we will always be losing out. The government always win, if they even lose the governors have nothing to lose. Aregbe and ajimobi can turn a blind eye to our predicament, they have nothing to lose, but students and lecturers have everything to lose. |
Education › Re: Ajimobi, Aregbesola Not Sincere About LAUTECH Crisis — ASUU Chair by Meel: 9:44am On Aug 06, 2017 |
SoldierBoy1: Guy the thing is the workers need an assurance that they won't be made to resume for auditing and not get paid again, because these governors have once made them resume with a promise that salaries would be paid just for the workers to discover it was all deceit.... For we here at Oyo and Osun States, we know how terrible these governors can be and we are not ready to gamble auditing without pay again. My own parents have not been paid for 10 months and the first thing you want them to do is to resume for auditing without an assurance of payment?... pls what was the cause of the recently concluded 9month strike?? if my sources are right, before the last strike the lecturers aren't owned a dime(not so sure). There has been too many propaganda, we don't even know the truth of the matter. In other to solve these issue, our workers need to make sacrifices. if they continue to be strife with the government, we as student might lose out in the short run, but they might lose out in the long run. With the way these crises is lingering on, there is no sign of resumption these year. And if we don't resume this year, it will make it 15 month of owed salary. I repeat no government will pay it staff 15 month of salary. Our only hope is the new government, 2018/2019 govt. If ASUU really love us and themselves, they should resume and our token of Igr should be use to finance the school, till time of possible solution. Aregbe is owing osun doc 22 month, Ajimobi is owing state workers 4 month, and heaven did not fall. If the lecturers think, being on strike will solve the issue, they are on a long thing. Aregbe and Ajimobi don't care. N.b My mum works for Oyo state govt, I knows how it feel. |

The handlers of Lautech should work at making it self-suffcient because if the economic doesnt improve , I am afraid things will remain the same . You cant use Lautech to sum up his performance . What about Oyo state ? Now you are blaming only Aregbe . Even Lagos state with all his resources does not have two Universities. Are you trying to justify aregbe and ajimobi actions,?? It is a pity bro, am not sure you read my epistle. I said we have been home for the past 2 years , am sure you are a student or graduate. bkool7: The fact is that Afenifere memebers are the core AD leaders . They took a wrong turn when they allowed themselves to be deceived by Obj in 2003. They all endorsed Obj for re-election thinking he would manipulate their re-election for AD. Tinubu disagreed with this move and he formed ACN. Well, Tinubu won his re-election and PDP won the remaining AD states . Since then all Afenifere have been envious of Tinubu So , this man is not being truthful. I dont like Aregbe because one of my relation is a core APC memeber ,he was supposed to be appionted a LGA admin in Osun but he wasnt . But i cant deny the glaring fact that Aregbe has performed more than any other governor in Osun's history. Could he have gone more? Maybe. Performed?? I think you are joking, He performed more than his predecessors , and an institution that he co owned hasn't been operational for the last 2 years. Am sure you don't have relatives in Lautech, but I believe you have a soul. Just empathize with us, some medical students have spent upto 11 years in school. All due to aregbe and ajimobi incompetency. You might be privileged to attend a private uni, but as citizens of Nigeria ,education is the only national cake we get to enjoy, and they are depriving us of it. kvibes: If you haven’t already heard of the book The Case for Christ, it tells the story of Lee Strobel, who was an award-winning, legal editor at the Chicago Tribune in the 1980’s. Lee was an avowed atheist, but one day his wife came home to tell him she had decided to believe in Jesus.
This was difficult news for him, and set him on a journey to investigate the claims of Christianity in order to prove it false, and save his wife from what he considered to be a cult.
After nearly two years of meeting with experts, and weighing the evidence, Lee concluded, as an atheist, that there was an avalanche of evidence pointing to the truth of Jesus Christ, and Lee chose to put his faith in Christ.
In 1998, he shared the story of his journey in the book The Case for Christ, which has gone on, with follow up books, to be read by more than 14 million people worldwide.
If you follow my posts, you probably know about this movie already, and my friendship with Lee.
He has spoken at several of our conferences, and has become a friend over the past few years. We’ve been thrilled to partner as a ministry on the impact of this Pure Flix film by sharing it with as many people as we can.
Opening weekend for a film is very important. This is especially true for faith-based films.
Packing out theaters on opening weekend will potentially cause “The Case for Christ” to be shown in more than 2,000 theaters nationwide on Easter weekend, doubling the initial impact, and paving the way for the film to impact millions of people around the world in consecutive months.
It is my great hope that you will see the film this weekend, and take a few friends along with you. Consider buying group tickets for your church, or doing a theater buyout in your city. And share your excitement about the film with everyone you know. Let’s all mobilize behind this film to help it have the biggest impact possible.
HERE ARE 4 REASONS WHY YOU SHOULD SEE THE CASE FOR CHRIST MOVIE THIS WEEKEND:
1. LEE’S STORY IS ICONIC AND UNFORGETTABLE
There are just some stories in the Christian world that you can’t get out of your mind. Lee’s story is one of those.
Several years ago, we spent time with Elizabeth Sherrill, who was the ghost writer of The Cross and the Switchblade for David Wilkerson, My Hiding Place for Corrie Ten Boom, God’s Smuggler for Brother Andrew, and others. It amazes me that she played such a role in telling stories that lived on in the Church.
