@ op and other posters, every employer of labor is guilty of these act in Nigeria. Check the life of all those speaking, you will see that the act they are condemning is in there life. I think 100% profit making for the employer is in the DNA of all Nigerians.


During my long stay at home , I interned at two place , a veterinary clinic and a big Farm.

The reception in the Veterinary clinic is being paid a meagre of 16000 per month. This same lady makes @ least #500000 per month , for the clinic through booking of birds, but she his not paid 10% of the profit she is making from a side deal for the company, not even her main job.


In the farm I was working then, whenever my boss harvest fish, he makes a profit of nothing less than #400000 in 2 months, not to talk of poultry and other farm produce. But how much does he pays his staff?? 8000!!!

Even all the mushroom schools in our environment, the owner grows fat while the staffs suffer ( normally being paid 10k at most.



My point is that Nigeria is bleeped up country, everyone is looking for ways to exploit each other. If the staff feel oppressed, and unhappy , they should hussle hard to start there own company, or resign and work for another company.

Nothing works in Nigeria, but one should just strive and be at the top

It's very easy to call ASUU names if your Mom or Dad isn't a retired lecturer. it's easy to call ASUU names if you are okay with the ego of being in a university that's less equipped.

I used to bash ASUU until a lecturer told us several things. the beautiful chairs in UNIBEN Engineering faculty was possible after last ASUU strike. it used to be a bench. The lap was worst before the last strike.

retired lecturers are broke. They paid taxes while teaching but now no pension. a lecturer told us their tax is removed even before the money lands in their account.

Lasu own is fair (10% of aspirant are being admitted), unilorin 120000 will apply and they won't admit more than 10000.

Medicine and pharmacy aspirants are more than 30000.

Bro , from the world biology ( study of life)+ Environment ( Subtotal of our consciousness).

If I am not mistaken, environment biology is study of organism in relation to the environment.


He can work as an environmental Health officer, oil company( pollution, spillage team), ministry of Agric and Environment, Quality control, he can further his education to be a lecturer, and finally a biology teacher.

It is just a simple law of demand and supply.

Unilorin for example, can only admit 180 medical students and 70 pharmacy students in a session, the funny thing is that atleast 20000+ will be qualified to write post utme for the course. So even if all of them pass, the school can't admit more than 250 students into both department.

And sometimes due to , council quota and Nuc quota.

what are you trying to explain here hmmm. why can't FG make the university tuition to be free? I am a Ladokites, I used to tell my colleagues that the only way through is increment of school fees. If uniosun doesn't increase there fee to fund the school, Lautech 18month strike will be a child's play in compare to what will happen to them

University must be funded , either by government or student fees , but if the government refuse to fund the school, because there wards are not affected, then students must be made to pay for it , to run the school. Everything boils to good governance.

N.b Am not in support of the increment, but I think it is necessary evil, until the electorates can look beyond sentiments , tribe and religion and vote for servants to rule.

Do you have same Date of Birth?? If they wants to correct it, they might want to use the one on your Waec, which doesn't corresponds with his.

Lautech will frustrate your life with strike, the Government is insensitivity to our plight ( literally abandoned the school), the lecturers are selfish ( will never consider the students),and the management is clueless ( no stable calender, always postponing exam due to one thing or the other).

The funniest thing is the maximum number of student will admit, is not upto 20% of the student that sat for there post utme.

No school in Nigeria is admitting Ond into Medical laboratory science as D.e students, but Medical Laboratory Technician.




@ op you can study, Science Laboratory Technology, microbiology, Biochemistry, Zoology, let just say all Biological science course

Why send students abroad in the first place. Why not fix our universities and make it attract foreign students. Obviously, many of these folks have got no conscience.

Exactly, why will some selected set of people be given scholarship to study abroad, while some set continue to suffer from, incessant strike, sadist lecturers, bad infrastructure e.t.c.


Am not against students being given scholarship, but instead of spending millions of dollars abroad, our educational sector should be well financed and monitored.
