I still don't understand why there will be a CCTV installed and nobody to monitor it in realtime. In this our Nigeria, even if you have the thief's picture or video, it doesn't guarantee you will locate the person in the next two years

To all my dear friends asking "who be this". Open a new tab (or a new browser). go to "www.google.com". in the search bar type "Saheed Osupa" and press "Search". you will get about 650,000 answers in about 0.25 seconds.

Education / Re: OOU Students On Protest Over The Reduction Of School Fee by meetmuyiwa(m): 5:00pm On Aug 14, 2014
I got this from the facebook page of one of the students' groups in OOU (OOU Vanguard). I think it explains the reason for the protest.

Greatest OOUites!

The reduction announced by the Ogun State Government is not just an insult to SUG, it is an insult to the entire OOU Students. Even more insulting is the announcement that the reduction will begin to take effect next session.

What does this Governor take us for? Fools? In 2011, he made his campaign promises and told us he would effect a 50% reduction in school fees that will cut across all departments, but till tomorrow, we are still waiting for that 50% reduction. He won and effected less than that and it was a reduction that failed to cut across. So, he thinks we are stupid enough to wait till next session after 2015 election for him to begin the implementation?

Also, while negotiations were going on, the student representatives made it clear to the Government that we want OOU's case to be treated independently. We are not only calling for reduction in school fees; we are also calling for adequate funding and completion of the abandoned hostels. Treating all the tertiary institutions together is a deceitful ploy of the Government. How can schools that pay N70, 000 or N80, 000 be treated on the same pedestal with an OOU that pays over N200, 000? It is deceitful and evil and we will not stand for it.

OOU Students are not prepared to settle for anything more than N50, 000. OOU Students are not prepared to agree to an implementation that will not take effect from this session. OOU students are done playing the fool and are prepared to correct the insult that the Ogun state government has insulted us.

We are not oblivious of the fact that the only argument the state will resort to when faced in situations like these is that our agitations are being sponsored by 'opposition'. We expect the propaganda and will also be prepared to counter it. We are not politicians, our agitations are not political and our agitations are most definitely not sponsored by politicians.

We are prepared to cook beans and fry akara for Governor Amosun and nothing; not even the threat of arrest can stop us.

I also had to drop staying on my laptop 24/7. im now forced to sit down and watch TV (African magic). But i thank God she sleeps early. so as soon as she is asleep, i jump back to my laptop grin

Moneylender: Thanks all for your contributions. Pls i need more

I dont want to work just because I hate working for somebody, unless a multinational company. I have passion for business very well. But i dont know the one to start.
If indeed you have passion for business. you must have tried something at one point or the other. You should by now have an idea of what u are better at selling, or the type of service you enjoy rendering.
Also dont forget the fact that most successful business pple were once learning under someone. Dont rule out the part of working for someone if you come across that opportunity. u may just use it as a learning guide.

Its a good idea. But i was thinking that on the long run, will urine be cheaper than petrol? We should also consider the process of collecting the urine. because u n ur family's urine wont be enough to meet ur daily needs. you will have to solicit for, collect and store urine from family and friends. how feasible is that. We shld also consider the health implication

Nairaland / General / Have You Ever Won A Promo In Nigeria by meetmuyiwa(m): 12:39am On Nov 19, 2011
I discovered recently that all the people i see winning one promo or the other are only seen on TV. i'v never met anyone of them one on one. Does that mean nobody close to me has ever won a promo before (especially with all these 10 Billion naira, 90 brand new cars, etc we see on television everyday). Please share your experience. which promo did you win, what prize did you win and when was that.
As for me, the best i ever won was a free drink from Limca and 7up in the late 80's

Secondly, where they working before? if the answer is yes, then i think i prefare them being on strike because we had light in my area today for like 6 hours non-stop (the first of its kind in about 6 months). Thirdly, let me stop for now
