Politics / Re: Jonathan To Remain In Charge While Yar'adua Recovers by Megadeals: 5:11pm On Feb 24, 2010
MsTom:

It is so obvious that Yaradua is not fit. If not, for the Nigerian that he is, he would have stepped out of the plane himself and wave to fellow Nigerians and would have given a speech to re-assure us. So, I ask. What are the so called law makers waiting for again? What evidence do they need again? They are just playing games with the future of Nigeria.

May your days be long and full of wisdom!

Too late.

You should have speak up against Mr Obasanjo in 2007 when he was scheming Yaradua.

He should have thank National Assembly but insisted he will only take over as acting-President once he physically meet with his Boss.

GoodLuck is greedy for power. Now, Turai has shown she is master of the game.

How can he? Yaradua is neither dead or impeached!

Nothing is ever too late. There are one million and one things we could have done before today. But what we do from today on is more important than what we didn't do yesterday.

Fhemmmy:

You mean the chosen ones that he has been seeing are not Nigerian people?
He has not seen the masses and that is why he has people to do all that.
The fact remain, Yaradua is not as dumb as we all thought.

We are talking about the lives of 150Million people here, I don't think it should be reduced to a game of hide and seek between a few buccaneers who are more interested in keeping Nigerians in the dark for their personal gain than public service.

Has not been seen by those that he does not wanna see

The Nigerian people?

Gbosa!

Tell them,  those day dreaming.

As long as Yaradua can SPEAK, thats all he needs. His words are final.

There is only one President in Nigeria at any time and that man is Yaradua.

How are we sure it was Yar' Adua giving these orders. He has not been seen or heard from in months. He could be dead for all we know.

turai actually did think its her husband property.

This is utter foolishness, one of the reasons why Nigeria is such a big failure. Anybody taking orders from Turai Yar' adua must be a slowpoke.

Where is the National Assembly, are they taking orders from Turai as well, in which case we should just give up and declare them the supreme rulers of Nigeria.
Politics / Re: Yar'adua Returns To Nigeria: Condition Unknown by Megadeals: 2:55pm On Feb 24, 2010
If Yar'Adua is not in a position to step down by himself due to mental incapacity or whatever, the National Assembly should set a deadline after which he should be promptly impeached. The level of secrecy surrounding his sickness bodes ill for the stability of Nigeria.
Politics / Re: Yar'adua Returns To Nigeria: Condition Unknown by Megadeals: 2:18pm On Feb 24, 2010
This is certainly one of the most bizarre stories ever to come out of Nigeria. Is he comatose, brain dead or completely dead? The lack of respect being shown to the Nigerian people regarding this whole affair is mind boggling.

Sorry I laughed at your attempt to write Yoruba. I thought I was reading Swahili. grin

People abeg i want to enter haulage business. I have someone willing to invest 7.5 million,he is living in u.k. He requests a business proposal to convince him. Please can anyone help me with a gud proposal to convince him. Secondly will the money he enough for truck purchase and nupeng registration and everyother requisite? Thirdly can i tell him to purchase the truck head over there and send it to nigeria to save costs? Please i would love to get any information i would need. I am a beginner and a young man in my early 20's,just through wit n.y.s.c,lastly can i manage it,considering my age and level?

In my opinion, be honest. Tell him straight up that you don't know too much about haulage business. Don't try to gamble with other people's money, it's not easy to come by.
Put yourself in his shoes and do the right thing. Why would you want somebody to invest 7.5m in you to manage a business you know very little about?

It's all business, a rotten one though.

Politics / Re: Nigerian Embassies Steal Visa Fees, Says Auditor-general by Megadeals: 3:35pm On Jan 19, 2010
The only new information in this report is that the Auditor general is just finding out that many Nigerian embassies and High commissions are "cash and carry" operations.
Sometimes they are so brazen you will think you are back in Nigeria.
In case he doesn't know, sometimes they also charge you to "expedite" whatever it is you want from the embassy.

For anybody looking for high quality and reliable trailer heads direct from Europe, please go to http://www.rydertrucks.biz . They have very good trucks for very good price, the trailer heads have already been imported and are in Lagos. For example, I bought a very neat DAF 85CF 430hp from them for less than 3million, and it was not right-hand drive! I recommend them for anyone looking to buy a trailer head soon.

The rydertrucks.biz you referred to is as fake as they come. They have only a string of mobile phone numbers, no physical address and they are supposed to be selling trucks?
I hope this website is not turning to a den of 419ners.

Nigeria was doing fine until we elevated greed and mediocrity into another form of religion. The mental attitude that made Nigeria what it is will not disappear simply by breaking her up into tiny little fiefdoms.
I will miss Nairaland though.

The president is on a secret mission to Yemen, to personally track down those pesky little Yemenis who are trying to radicalize Nigerians.

This is why his whereabout can not be made public for security reasons.

I am not comfortable with the fact that you are cyber cafe owner, fish farming consultant, poultry farming consultant. Also an expert on starting a school and now a fleet management agency.
Seems to me you are just casting your net wide on nairaland to catch whatever comes your way.
I am in need of such services but you are not doing anything to convince me you are genuine.

I'm not on about anything and I don't care if you speak better english than the queen of England. I just don't believe there's any correlation between your accent and what you are capable of doing, unless if you are totally incomprehensible.

I do believe people are judged very much on their accents. Just as if u were applying 4 an upscale job and you had a local accent,i doubt anyone would want to hire you especially if it deals with a lot of phone type work. The way you speak is also how you sound educated not just your big grammar. So let the babes fake it,if they can smiley

How come Okonjo Iweala does't have a fake accent? She's the Managing Director of the World Bank.
Wole Soyinka, Chinua Achebe, all these people doesn't speak with phoney accents.
