Transportation business is total different from hiring. U pay upfront if u are to hire a car. And rentals is after usage.

Where did u hear that any type vehicle do pay upfront in this kind of business eg buses, tricycles, taxi on rentals pay at the end of each day, week or month.

Dont make it look like the upfront is the norms. When did u even start thinking of joining this business sef jjc
I keep saying it that its only a fool and a desperate driver that will drop 30k or thereabout simply because he wants to collect a vehicle to drive. If you dont hv any evil intention why demand for upfront payment from a driver when the car has not yet hit the road.

Got a request 3 minutes away from where I was, almost there when the person cancelled. Fortunately for me I got the number before the rider cancelled.
I called him he started explaining how the last driver was saying he can't go to ikorudu this night and was also complaining that it is a card trip.
I just end the call immediately and go offline before I get his request again.
You are going to ikorodu from ikoyi this night and using card too.
Hmmmmmm u go sleep for ikoyi toda

Riders i guess are now getting smarter o what. Dropped off a rider at megachicken Agidingbi and decided to chill in the car park for a request. Less than 5mins a request on uber came in , as usual I placed a call across to the rider who happens to be a lady and the ffg conversation ensued

Me: Gdevn ma, (she interrupts: oga where are you?) Gdevn. my name is..... You requested for a ride on uber, pls confirm ur location.
Rider: Am at mega chicken, pls am in a hurry, where are you?
Me: Am very close to you and ma pls where are you going to cos its late?
Rider: Alakija
Me: Sorry ma I wont be able to do tht trip
Rider: Oya cancel na
Me: Sorry ma I cant cancel you cancel from ur own end(ends call)
Rider calls back after 2mins
Rider: Oga what are you waiting for, cancel this trip so I can make another request or I do a review on u to uber
Me: I quickly replied madam am waiting
Seeing tht it was nearing cancellation fee alert she quickly changed the pickup location to a street like 5mins away.

I am just tired of people that will request and feel it's the drivers' right to call. Got this request and the rider sent a number to call
mshew for all this broke middle age riders who cant spare little airtime to call and who will also end up dragging 30naira wt u at the end of the trip.

Was inside dolphin estate no request on both apps suddenly one entered I tap the screen immediately, saw 12 minutes.
I didn't bother myself after some time the rider called and ask their usual annoying question 'oga where are you'?
I replied good afternoon maa, she didn't respond and next she asked me why I accepted her request and didn't call her. I just kept my cool and asked her where she is, she said she is at Osborne foreshore.
I asked where is going to she said she is not going far that her destination is force road.
Me spend my time and fuel to turn round Lagos for that short trip, I was thinking of what to say so she will be angry and cancel the request.
I now said but maa there is no law that says the driver must be the one to call, that there is a reason my number is there.
Her anger increased as I can see from the way she was talking, she said every other driver come to her place from there.
In fact that she will cancel, I just smiled and waited for my fee.

Good day house, Pls help, my map is not working...i mean it not showing destination and also not show directions, hope it will not affect d trip fare..... From dopemu to agugi and then to airport, same with same rider
Map does not in any way affect trip fare. Ur app functions wt the aid of GPS and nt map. App map or google map is optional its either you use it or u dnt.

All these yeye baby drivers that are in constant habit of using their user app to put across a fake request to their fellow driver so that theirs will be open for incoming request shd better repent and turn from their evil ways or else. We cant continue like this, if you lack requests and wish to know if drivers around ur end, pls make use of ur brain. we are not in any competition and its affecting activity rate.

How can you a driver rate your follow driver poorly...

You requested a ride for your client cause you on trip or for whatsoever reason. Thou you didn't experience the trip yourself. But the only thing that came to your mind is to rate the driver poorly.

I have nothing to say to you.

God bless you
Sorry bro but I feel something must hv gone wrong in the cause of the trip for him to hv rated you low. I believe the rider complained abt smtin to him. Check very well

See this rider, she thought she was dealing with a novice.
Me: please where are you going?
Rider: I have entered it on the app.
Me: I wouldn't ask if I can see it, and I have some places I don't go to.
Rider: you will get to know when you start and if you can't go, you can end the trip then.
See mumu.
Luckily for me, I got requests on both apps same time and took my time to ask for both destinations. Taxify to kofo abayomi, still not ok for me going to the island at the time of the day but the devil I can see is better that the one I can't see.
I was at costain when all these happened. Just went straight to pick the taxify rider going to island. I already knew she was going to where drivers don't like going grin
Ago palace is good to go especially weekends but dnt ever go beyond Cele if not u will regret it. Okota would hv fetched u more money than Kofo Abayomi if u hv done the trip and getting return trip there is sure.

This can only happen on taxify. Imagine after waiting for 22min minus t the driving time to the pickup location, she came out to start taking pictures with her family. Had to call her attention to it the I have been here for more than 20mins, you should have done this before requesting for a ride.
Rider: can't I take pictures with my family, I am taking an international flight. AND YOU SAID YOU ARE DRIVING TAXIFY.
The bolded statement seems annoying cos they don't know the difference between a personal driver and a PAYG driver. So I must waste the whole day on an 8km trip because you have the mindset that you are paying money not minding the driver also came out to make MONEY. Time is money
I usually dont wait for more than 7 mins max for a rider tht the trip is not above 25km. I dnt care cos my time is precious. If you know you are not ready why request for a ride.

Camry muscle is not really that fuel consuming. I use average 2k fuel to do 8-10k on daily basis, 4K fuel to do 17-20k on a good day. The way people come here to exaggerate how fuel consuming Camry is baffles me a lot. It’s very close to Corolla. It’s just d tank is bigger

Imagine, only one car available to carry every one in phase one.

While there is no surge and many drivers awake on the mainland waiting for God to send request to them
Na Hangover o! Well majority of the drivers tht hustle on the island especially Phase 1 come from the mainland.

News Flash:

One of the topmost international non-alcoholic bottling company has decided to jettison the practice of buying vehicles for their staff esp expats; staff have been instructed to patronize Uber/Taxify henceforth to commune from their various residences to the office & factories (in I...a & 7..).

E-hailers can stay around closing hours for quick pickup.
Some big companies hv bn into this for quite sometime now basically it means more company drivers will be relieved off their duties and this will invariably swell the number of ehailing drivers.

God bless u bro. Theres no gainsaying the fact tht the way most Uber/taxify guys drive eeh baffles me maybe because most of them dont own the cars they drive and so dnt care abt the resultant effect. Guys hv no chill at all on this very bad Lagos roads and highways, they dnt evn trafficate and hv made themselves worse than danfo drivers.

Beware of riders that insist you take routes close to the beach. Is like uber doesn't work well on that route and the riders know it. You will be disappointed with fare at the end of trip. If it is long trip terminating around there fine , not short trip going through bizarre route. Example going to Agungi from Ligali ayorinde VI using beach road. Going to Agungi from ilasan using shop rite way straight to end and turning right. Cheers!
very very true, I thought i was the only one tht did experience this. Yesterday from Akinyemi Avenue to marinho drive v.i tru same beach route ws 580 wtf! Rider asked me to pass there.

Uber since lastwk hasnt bn adding my toll fares to trip fares eachtym am entering lekki via any of the tolls leaving me to always keep complaining by doing a fare review. Is anyone else currently experiencing this same thing? Well u guys need to take a close look at trip fare breakdown to ensure that ur tolls are added.

you ended the at Osborne by mistake abi. The next thing for you to do was to park at the nearest bus stop to let know she has to request again or pay an extra 1000 to the 2500 b4 u proceed to lekki since the toll fee and the distance to b cover are yet to be calculated
Had a similar experience sometime ago, dude was cool and paid me correct fare after explanation and manual calculatn. seriously i dnt kw why some ladies are not understanding. 1k too small o to collect as par additional fare frm Osborne to Idado, toll inclusive. Next tym pull over, explain and if its nt working as expected, end trip. All ur trips mustnt be 5star.

Festac is not bad if you know your way around very well, if not, don't even dare.
Meanwhile, my first taxify trip in over 6hrs just dropped. Sigh!
if not for this insensitive government that hs delayed the fixing of a section of the link bridge tht collapsed over 5 months ago riders plenty for Festac and u will get a request back sharp sharp.
