Tgiirl: SCAM! SCAM!! SCAM!!!
A Rider named frank with the two following numbers just scammed a fellow driver close to me the sum of 10,000 naira. 0703 487 3437, +2349012911948
I will want every driver here to save the number on your phone just incase he tries to play the prank on another driver.
The rider requested on bolt and called the driver at the pickup location to recieve a package for him. On get to the place the rider call the man with the package tgat the driver is waiting outside. The man came out and gave him some drugs and told him the rider was meant to pay him 10000.
Driver called the rider and the rider ask if he has some cash on him that he will pay the total when he gets to radisson blu. Driver said yes and accept to pay on his behalf cos that was his 3rd trip after sitting hours in the car around mushin.
On getting to the hotel. The rider's number stopped going thru... rider already blocked him. After waiting for hours trying the riders number cos he cant just leave like that when he has 10,000 @ stake.
Eventually, driver checked the package and found out that it contains broken candle sticks. The driver, A married Man with kids could not help but cry.
What a bad experience.
Lets find a way to catch this guys when the call and request you.. save up those numbers. Its either this guy was high on kinkana or his village people dialled his number and also played masquerade drums for him to dance to on that fateful day. I don't believe this guy has done up to 20trips on either uber/Bolt for him not to know how this things go. How can he allow himself to be scammed like this. 10k not even 2k or 5k!! I know some will want to say it's jazz but believe you me it's foolishness. |

davidwemby: Please, I need help.
AC times out after a while cooling.. and then starts cooling again.
Two AC technicians gave 2 different diagnosis and prognosis
1. Change valve and compressor 2. Change thermostat
Experts in the house, kindly help o..
I use a 2004 Toyota Corolla.. Had the same issue last month, compressor kept cutting in hot afternoons but will never cut in the nite coupled with low pumping pressure and all these started the very day one rogue a.c. guy at Clegg worked on the A.c. i just kukuma changed the compressor. Its possible the compressor coil is bad. Secondly, did you just work on the AC if yes then it's possible the compressor is bad as a result of bad gas and bad oil that was used on the compressor. Thirdly, does the AC cool very well in traffic or when the car is idling if no, low pumping pressure of the compressor is the culprit and you need a new compressor. Ac problems can be very frustratimg I will advise that you change the compressor and have a rest of mind. |

Skiilashi: It happened to me too .but I also teach the woman a lesson
I was somewre around agege at about 9pm. I got a prompt and rider says she was going to banana island. I was excited. It took me almost 30 mins to get to rider.
I met her and she got into the vehicle and sat like a big madam, Immediately I started the trip, she said oga take me to ogba, I am no longer going to the island. I ended the trip immediately. I said madam ,I also is not going to ogba. Madam was tying to talk to me. Madam I have ended the trip, please look for another driver. She came down and i zoomed off to the airport and got a good trip to lekki.
Riders don see agebero way neck no dey pain. I am right now spending over a 100k to put my vehicle in the sweetest of shape. Na this short short trip person go take get ROI back? I no do,no be by force
Uber is not meant for every body Seriously this short trips can be very annoying and the cost of maintaining the vehicle is on the increase daily. One mumu requested me this afternoon while at Ebeano from Bera estate and destination was Carlton gate estate just after UBA! I just told the yeye rude gal to cancel, she said no that I should cancel. she refused and later sent me an in app message that she will report me to uber. I didnt even reply and some few mins later got a request on bolt, called rider and she said destination is V.I, I just drove to Bourdillon court straight.. she later cancelled after about 5mins or so. |

Riders are now becoming smarter since drivers are refusing to do short trips. As I was driving out of VGC I got a request from a lady who said she ws at Dmatel hotel by Askamaya and she's going to Ikoyi. I was happy cos she wasn't going towards Ajah cos of the mega chicken traffic. As we hit the express babe made what I suspected to be a fake call and thereafter told me that she wasn't going to Ikoyi anymore that she's gonna change destination to Mega chicken. I gats quickly do a u turn and face mega chicken. Got to destination, ended trip N430. Chai that thing dey pain. Samething happened on Sat. Picked a rider from one Arts exhibition center at Onikan and she was going to Chevron drive only for her to change destination to a restaurant on Awolowo way after a call. Got to destination ended trip N378. |

One understood and added more money. The other was a heartless lady that claimed she saw #1,500 as estimate from Magodo to Idumota! Thus did not add a penny. Worst thing was I entered the very dirty flood in the market after I dropped her & her mum off.

franksam2009: Seriously this Uber rating is really annoying, them just spoil my mood, infact I no do again.. Riders should be educated on how these rating stuff works Just see how I stressed myself for this rider even gave her free trip, bought water For her, cause she was cashless..(just Goodwill) she was so happy and gave me 1 star thinking it was the highest The next thing I heard was "oga is only one star that hv entered o, how will I go back and add the remaining stars lol, I just weak and dumbfounded . This attitude of riders is becoming so annoying and irritating this days. Driver: Good mrn/aft ma, you made a request on Uber/bolt (Rider cuts in without allowing you to finish) Rider: So where are you? (in a harsh tone) Driver: I am few blocks away from you ma. Rider: What is the name of the place? Driver: I am on so so and so street Rider: where exactly are you? Driver: Just confirm ur pickup and I will use the map to locate you. Roder: I say what is the name of the place? Rider: What and what can you see around ? Rider: How long will it take you to get here? Can someone pls tell these people especially the oloshos that they can actually see our location on their app. The drivers should be the ones asking this questions not them. How long shall we continue like this? |

I was in their office last week to add a new vehicle and a lot of guys I met there were flagged reason is that their phones don't meet uber specifications, even guys using iphone6s like me. On enquiry so as to be on the safe side I was told to get an android phone that meets uber specifications and that they don't have specifications for iPhone at the moment. Uber hammer na batch by batch it will gradually get to everybody. QuitNotice: Cheapest is Nokia X5. You can also buy London used Samsung note 4 or LG G6 |

donshaddow: New scam alert. Guys be careful. Rider go request you make u help am pick stuff. Say u go bring am come another location. E fit be island or anywhere. When the person drop am e go say him balance never complete then the rider will ask you to give some money that he'll balance you when you get there. Pls don't fall for it. Take your cash before you move. I've been scammed. Was thinking I was helping and making money say time cos the offer was juicy. Open ur eyes, they could request you from anywhere If you allow urself to be scammed you will be scammed. In this work delivery of items is inenvitable but it depends on ur approach to it. I have done over 200 deliveries and they were done with no issues. This ehailing work has gone beyond gentleman approach. Personally I don't do any delivery stuff that is not on a card trip. Secondly, I should be able to see and as well vet what am been asked to deliver. And if it must be cash then what am delivering must be something worth it that is the monetary value should exceed the ride fare. A case in point is this, two weeks ago I got a request by 10.30pm around CMD road to deliver two sets of new human hair to one babe at Abule Ijesha. Got to delivery point babe said shes not around that I should hand it over to a friend and send my acc details so that she will do me a transfer. I told her she isnt serious and I went with the items. Na so I carry the hair go house. Early morning next day, she called for it and I billed her 4k to bring it to her + 2k being the trip fare. Be wise in this work or else you keep telling ur family stories. |

franksam2009: Does it mean that mainIand people Don't visit island? really hate it when trips end up bringing me to mainland , now someone will have to blow empty back to island, Bros, must you work on the island all the time, moreover you tend get more of long trips on the mainland. I don't know why drivers attach so much importance to working on the island where you find a lot of them waiting forever in their vehicles for trips that won't exceed #500. As an uber driver you should be ready to go anywhere trip takes you to during the day and by so doin you earn more. In this work positioning is key. Stay on the mainland and scout for trips instead of blowing empty back |

MoonlightDrive: I have been having problem with my iphone touch screen since last week, i cannot call client to clarify their locations and it is important to clarify especially in places you are not familiar with, the GPS can sometimes be unreliable or take you through a longer route to the riders' pickup point. So i will wait until the client calls, some clients will just refuse to call and send sms messages through the uber platform, but also because of the touch screen issue i could not respond to their sms. Last week i got a notice that my account had been flagged for fraudulent activities, it is a shame that a driver with over 400+ 5 star trips, could be treated in such manner, i would have expected uber to have first gotten in touch with me as to what could be the problem. I have since replaced my iphone touch screen and all system are good to go, sadly uber has judged me as guilty without recourse to a fair hearing. I am omitted from the promo and lumped up with the Sakamanje crew and chop Cancellation fee crew. What really is the value of all this 5 stars rating we get from riders, since Uber does not use it in taking decisions. I believe a staff of uber would read this and bring up this issue at their meeting. i hope Lyft would soon start business in Lagos... this will guarantee that drivers are treated with respect by both bolt and uber. Its a pity all these is happening at this point in time. Atimes it leaves me wandering why Uber and taxify treat their experienced and trusted driver partners the way they do with shrewd contempt. Is it because the industry is not being regulated or what or is it because there isn't a stiff competition in the market to shut this motherfuuckers up and send them packing. Well, time will tell and like the late Bola Ige of blessed memories said '' I siddon dey look'' |

julietromeo: Did you also get the message? I didn't get the message. Maybe I'm not qualified for the incentive. Let me do 15trips first and see what happens thereafter. Bro, read the 3rd paragraph of that Uber message very well. Maybe it applies to you too. It clearly states that fraudulent drivers will not be eligible for that so if you have been flagged before by Uber you won't enjoy the incentive. Uber has in the past one month flagged more than 1,000 drivers for fraudulent activities. |
