Bros, this work na survival of the fittest now o, no more waiting at a spot to get request. I drive around alot now looking for request and it pays. I meet my target wen i do tht especially in areas u know u must position well. Almost at every nook and cranny of this town u will see boys waiting for request in their cars and most of them are on rental o. Use ur brain and smile later.
Tgiirl:
I hardly get trips in the morning these days but afternoon n evening trips are pretty normal. Chop both Monday n Tuesday evening bonus after burning up the whole 6k fuel to make 22k gross.

The rate at which I consume fuel moving around looking for riders is just too much. Else if I don't move. I wont get enough request.

From ICM. I took a rider to agege, blow back to ICM got another resquest quickly to magboro., blew back to ICM then resquest to surulere almost immediately again.

Na so I sit inside car in surulere kilo till 10:30pm no request before blowing fuel back home.

Today na. Its 10:30 no resquest. I no won burn fuel.

Am done with Taxify until they upgrade their app. Its really demoralizing. Took some riders from Int Airport to Ilupeju then Alausa passport office and finally proceeded to festac passport office yesterday, ended ride and the fucking app displayed 2,800. I later did manual calculation and arrived at 7,200. They were considerate and dropped 6,500. Mshw
Gentlelife50:
I keep saying it here, they should upgrade their app. Even riders complain about the app too, if drivers talk they will be quick to blame phones.
BusinessRe: If You Are Uber Partner In Lagos, Please Share Your Experience Here by Megadrop: 11:56pm On Jul 29, 2018
Means your car will be on the road 24hrs of day.
GAZZUZZ:
just realised one of my vehicles has 2 drivers, a vampire and a lycan grin we know what to do.

Investors, watch for impossible mileage intervals in ap week.

Meanwhile I don't mind hiring 1 car to 2drivers o! As long as they will not quarrel about fuel level, and I get better returns on my investment why not.

Investors what are your views?

Some Taxify drivers hv gone rogue and its nt good for this business. A rider jst told me now tht the taxify driver tht brought his wife home ystnt from circle mall, osapa to a street on Idowu martins v.i did not end the trip after the rider has gotten to her destination and hv alighted. The trip according to him and from his rider app ws ended at Fagbenro street, surulere instd of v.i and the man ws billed 3,300 cos it ws a card trip. Make una repent na

Its good you ask to know riders destination before pickup especially wen its dark becos of the wicked, dangerous and unsafe society we find ourselves in. Nigeria is not safe for drivers compared to western world. Lagos is also not safe to work in especially at nights. Abnitio I dnt ask riders for their destination but since riders starting misbehaving and abusing the stuff na so i wake up.

Sometime ago i got a request to Otta from one hotel in Ikoyi by past 10pm, bros refused to tell me destination insisting i get to the hotel first. I hd no option than to cancel the request wen i got to the pickup location and discovered their destination was otta and yesterday a request from one babe in an estate at ikota county home requested a ride to a grocery store jst two streets from her house. quote author=ifyeez post=69743332]Some will start asking you why you're asking them, or will ignore the question and hang up immediately, some will tell you when you get here I will let you know. Once I hear all dis I already know it's a bad request am canceling after I drop the call. No rubbish m ur ride not ur slave.

cheesy grin you missed ur exit and ended up in Alapere.
Its not advisable to do an area you dont know too well at night especially when its late. You dont necessary hv to know the inner streets bt jst know landmarks. Yea, google map can be so annoying atimes especially wen u miss a turn and its finding it difficult to rerout. Learn to use the map very well. The updated version exhibit tht madness a lot.

Carried a chinko lady from a spa in lekki to banana island on Wednesday she was goin for a booty call,
she couldnt even read well, i had to follow the instructions on her phone to get to the location. Wanted me to come pick her back to phase1 and promised 2500, then i got a trip from someone nearby, as a newbie got there without asking for destination, the girl was going to ogudu from banana island, first time going to ogudu, hurriedly tried to take her so I'd pick chinko woman and drop her back in phase 1 since it was already late and her destination was on my way home. Then somehow I missed my exit and got lost in Lagos, map carry me turn round many back roads by the time I got home that night i was almost frustrated.

Next tym set ur rules for them, jst tell the rider tht Uber app doesnt function outside Lasgidi tht you not goin beyond where you feel is ok for him/her to continue. If the rider refuses, turn off the app and settle for offline. Of course u and I know tht offline will pay more cos u no gonna get any request back.

Destination berger, started trip it was Ogun state after Opic inside inside. Was angry I did not end that trip still regret it till date.

Buh I know how to deal with such riders now, if you know you know.

Bros, I wonder where you get some of the facts you present on this thread atimes. It cud be misleading u know. For the fact tht ur driver hs bn remitting constantly for 4months doesnt mean he makes 400k net! Net is the earning after all deductions hv bn taken from gross earning. Invariably, u are saying tht monthly earning will be like 500-600k bringing it to 400k after statutory deductns hv bn made. This is laughable.

Hv u taken time to know hw mch car owners tht drive on uber/Taxify make as gross monthly. You dont stay in Nigeria I believe neither do you drive on uber here so where did you get ur fact from. Bros, u practically do not hv first hand information abt this business. Forget abt what some drivers come here to display to you. Drive to experience it.

Abnitio before the influx of so many drivers and cars including dead ones being churned out by greedy partners as a result of misleading facts like this i cud say its possible. Someone reading this thread for the first time with this fact you jst gave will think Uber business is heaven on earth and thts why some people after reading this will start thinking of resigning their paying jobs for uber jst because of all this misleading and unverified facts. Well, am nt disputing the fact tht there is money in ehailing biz.
dru23:
We can agree to disagree .. I knw a few partners that drive their own car ..and I can honestly say they make 400k net a month.. If you drive ur own car. Use the proper oil and maintain the car ,you should be good to go .. I said early that one of my driver old man always delivers is rental on time ..he has to be in his 50's and he delivers on time... there was a time that the car was at the shop, the baba was calling and asking when the is.going to be ready ...so please let us be honest with ourselves.. If you own the car ,u will make money and at your own pace..

Mr .chilex is rite ..there is going to be a lot of dead cars this season.. This is the mechanic season o, engine parts seller season, tire seller season, some uber partners will cry this raining period o.. I wish you all the best as the rain continues fall o ..some drivers will not care and just see swimming pool of water and enter inside it like as if the car is a natural swimmer... and some will say it's only part of lagos that his raining, well wish you all the best.. Myself at I dey wish my self the best too

For me any trip beyond Sangotedo will be offline. I cnt imagine driving tht long distance and get paid 3,900 at the end of the trip. Uber should do the needful by increasing their fare and by extension reducing their commission!!!!!!

What will you now say about this. I regretted not taking it offline that day

Uber/ Taxify need to bridge this acrimonious and useless gap between drivers and riders, all riders especially this broke chewing gum ladies feel drivers are below them in all ramification. Why take to twitter to report the matter/ err her grievance by extension ridiculing the driver when she knows the right thing to do by going through the proper Uber channel. Riders are really making drivers feel insecure and nervous with their unending and unsolicited rants, always wanting to transfer bottled up anger and aggression on drivers. Theres definitely another angle to this story.
Gentlelife50:
Na the shut up dey pain am? She quickly ran to Twitter to post it instead of doing the right thing reporting to Uber.

I hv experienced this twice, picked a rider from Apapa road Ebute Metta to Freedom way, lekki and that local Taxify app calculated #400 as riders fare. Did a price review but they didnt get back to me till abt a week. Another was Alausa to Yaba #600. Men its so annoying given the fact that i use a very good phone. App at times sef will even shut down on its own . Taxify needs to improve their app is trash!!!
bily:
How can you say his phone GPS is trash. Ok, let's assume you are right, can you then explain to us why the same trashy GPS is not having issues with uber app?

Taxify app is the culprit abeg grin

I have said it once before, they need to fire their developers and hire competent ones

I know what i am saying. You need to be part of it to know. You dnt sit back in the confines of ur home and office and know what is happening in the system. If u know u know. Long abandoned and dead cars parked on Lagos streets and owners compd are now being refurbished and pushed onto the road all in the name of making money, everyone want to be part of this e-hailing biz and by extension unsuspecting gullible and desperate drivers will pick them up and start agonizing the nxt minute. Please my dear bro kindly be informed that i hv two cars a Toyota corolla 05 and an Honda civic 07 on e-hailing and they are doing pretty fine on the road cos i drive the corolla myself and the other a trusted gentleman. I am my own boss and i know what i am saying cos its what we know and see all the time on the roads. Dont think drivers on this platform dont own cars ok. Theres actually someone on this platform that own 5 cars yet he still drives. I drive my own car cos i chose to and you cant sit ur fat asses out in the office and know what drivers face on the road. Nobody made you guys lord over drivers and if you are bitter about it kiss the road and experience it urself.
Enyinne:
Kindly get ur own car and let's see if u wont have breakdown? Where did u get the idea that car breakdown means the car is dead. Millions of cars on ehailing ,running daily.its expected that we should see breakdown along the road. You driver partners that can't afford a tyre always make nonsense insinuations to confuse hardworking drivers..
BusinessRe: If You Are Uber Partner In Lagos, Please Share Your Experience Here by Megadrop: 9:44am On Jun 09, 2018
Couldnt agree with you more bro. A lot of dead and refurbished cars being rolled into the system and when drivers dont meet up to expectation as a result of consistent breakdowns and job hiccups it turns to trouble sit iyanga go wake am. Theres no single day u wont see a broken down e-hailing vehicle on the road or one moving slowly wt its double pointer flashing indicating faulty car.
chillex8:
More dead cars flooding the system.
More accidents.
More driver's default.

Who's to blame huh

Google map is your friend, with time you get to know several routes.... Although most times your first option is to ask the rider if he or she knows the direction, if that fails, use Google map...

I bought my car and started using for Uber, google map made me see things, they were scary... I saw things that made my mind shudder... Infact, google map directed me through a route no car has passed in a long while, but all d same never get discouraged, google map helps a lot..

Lwkmd!!!!. Most Taxify riders are sadists. First thing they will say in a very rude manner when you call or they call you after request acceptance is "Where are you? Come to so so and so place and they will leave you wondering if the rider is mentally deranged. "Had a similar experience, rider called after I accepted her request and was like come to the street showing on ur app and behold when I got there after 10mins of navigating through very bad roads and I called her to announce my arrival and she rudely said to me that the address on the app was wrong that she stays two streets away....... embarassed

BusinessRe: If You Are Uber Partner In Lagos, Please Share Your Experience Here by Megadrop: 3:34pm On May 23, 2018
My unpalatable experience. I got a request from Mega plaza, idowu Martin's and when I called the rider, a male voice confirmed the request but it was for a female friend who supposedly was his girlfriend or criminal ally and was waiting to get picked at Mega plaza. So after like 2minutes the rider a female called and ordered me to another hotel off Kofo Abayomi and that if the guy calls me again I shouldn't let him know that her pickup location is an hotel off kofo Abayomi and not Mega plaza as believed by the guy.

So when I got to her location she said her destination is Whitbaker hotel at Ikoyi and she needed to use an ATM and she also said that my ever freezing AC is not chilling and that she wants to listen to 93.7 not CD and all sorts of annoying comments. When we were approaching Ikoyi I asked if she still needed to use the ATM she nodded no and behold when we got to her destination she started saying that she hadn't no cash on her and l asked if I should take her to the ATM she said no again that the guy will transfer the money shortly. Omo, na so I tear for girl that she must give me my money or else I won't let her go but she was adamant and was busy calling the guy on the other side to speedily transfer but he was also criminally saying the network was bad. She even threatened to report if I turnoff the engine and the AC and the fare na 800.

Worst of it all was that I got a call for an offline trip to ikorodu while I was patiently waiting for the transfer and I couldn't wait any longer and I called and told the guy to make it happen and I let the lady go. Thereafter I was calling them they both refused to take my calls. I have reported to taxify who said they will block them if they don't pay before the week runs out.

Really do not know why riders when you get to their pickup location they will be like give me some time I will be with you shortly, 3-10mins you don't see them and when they finally show up after several calls they will want you to do fast and furious on Lagos road!!!! Me am tired of hearing am in a hurry and more annoying- is this the fastest you can move. Damn it!!!

I certainly do not know where these ones were arrested at. Just yesternight at about some minutes past 9pm on Eko Bridge between CMS and Apogbon these criminals were busy brandishing guns and robbing people of their possessions in traffic cos the traffic started from Force road- CMS bridge up till costain exit route. I certainly do not know why the Police is not stationed on the bridge around that axis knowing fully well that Eko bridge is their stronghold.
