[quote author=obailala post=81471685]yeah I must say you have a salient points there, I gave you
the story, for you to have a glimpse on why a competent
individuals with the knowledge should be placed in a critical
positions and ministries, they are in a better position to
advocate and also make a sound judgements, compare to a
novice in the system, that won't even know when things are
going bad. like you pointed out about finance and other
circumstances that might hinder such a person from carrying
out effectively his or her job, the said person can always
relates the problems to his employer and give possible
solutions to the problems encountered, in a situations
whereby your employer is adamant to your pleas, your other
options is to resign honourably to save your pedigree, if
one, two, three persons resign that way, then your boss will be
forced to do the proper things.
I hope you have gotten my points? |
[quote author=obailala post=81471685]You still miss the point; finding a solution to a cracking problem is a purely technical problem which needs a foreman with technical skill/knowledge. But imagine the actual problems stopping the repair of the building are inability to obtain funds from the building owner, a persisting legal dispute between land owner and host community, activity of area boys and cultists in the neighbourhood harassing the builders, etc. With these kind of problems, if you hire the best civil engineer in the world (but who has no street skills, administrative abilities, legal doggedness etc) to oversee that project, how exactly do you think that crack can be fixed. Like I said before, the problems plaguing the progress in Nigeria's power sector are far from technical issues that just need a technically competent person to fix. If you have a glimpse of the political, legal, commercial, financial and even spiritual issues (like Prof. Nebo admitted in frustration) which plague the power sector in Nigeria, you will acknowledge my earlier statement that Nigeria's power problems are absolutely not technical. yeah I must say you have a salient points there, I gave you the story, for you to have a glimpse on why a competent individuals with the knowledge should be placed in a critical positions and ministries, they are in a better position to advocate and also make a sound judgements, compare to a novice in the system, that won't even know when things are going bad. like you pointed out about finance and other circumstances that might hinder such a person from carrying out effectively his or her job, the said person can always relates the problems to his employer and give possible solutions to the problems encountered, in a situations whereby your employer is adamant to your pleas, your other options is to resign honourably to save your pedigree, if one, two, three persons resign that way, then your boss will be forced to do the proper things. I hope you have gotten my points? |
obailala:I understand the points you're trying to pass across, but still you're still far from the reality on ground, let me share one story with you. not long ago, I was called upon to checkmate a building that has cracks at all corners of it,waiting to collapse to issue my expertise knowledge on how best to salvage it,to avert total collapse. these said building was own by a barrister in us,he was around and overseas the building, always claiming ITK, giving orders on best materials to be used, just months down the line the building started developing those faults, I earlier mention. he was so helpless and has no option than to seek for professional service, also imaging yourself an engineer, and you gave a contractor a project, you will always detect whenever he or she is trying to cut corners, because it is your field. choosing and delegating people to their areas of interest, knowledge and expertise can never be over emphasize, even if the person doesn't do much because of the Nigeria factors issues that you raised, but he will perform far more than a novice in that particular field. |
DrObiHogan:please can these be possible? a whole 5kids not even 2. |
I wonder what a barrister is doing in a power sector, of course he will fail woefully, seriously assignments and positions should be delegated to your area of interest or study, how can you explain a barrister becoming a minister of works, whereas engineers are there, what a misplaced priority. |
enjoy your life young man, hard work pays. 50 cent still into music hmmm, I so much love that nigga tracks back then. |
FarFromAverage:all these can be worked on. so no much problems, when you have what to say in handy, you won't have much problems going public, only stage flight. |
these type of cars are not meant for Nigeria roads, so many potholes around, just one month on Nigeria roads, you must call your mechanic. |
back then I was still a young adult,we stays in the same compound, though I like her as a person, one faithful evening I check on her in their own flat,I met only her that faithful Sunday in the parlor watching film, I join her in watching the film. as we are watching I told her I was hungry, she immediately rush inside get me a plate of rice, added with one can of malt, while I was eating the food, I will always cut her looking at me seductively, she then excuse herself to go and take her bath, minutes later she returned to the parlor tieing only her wrapper, she keep readjusting herself and hissing, I didn't even mind her, because I was thinking her parents might be back any moment and cut us if I try to do any funny thing with her, minutes later she told me that she loves cake's, that I should get it for her tomorrow, I said OK while still watching the film, I notice she was very restless, I asked her,if she was OK,she said no problems with her shining teeth. though I wanted to go to her, but my mind was busy thinking and calculating the consequences. immediately we Finnish watching the film, I thank her so much and bid her good bye, I later got her the cake tomorrow, she rejected it and disdain me till I Left the compound. |
if your games is tight, you will give her some clue on what to expect when she comes, so she prepare her mind for it. don't go direct but use subtle romantic conversation. |
what draw my attention is what one girl say there, and I quote....... at least the foam will reach two of them to Bleep, imaging...... |
I don't think that I have ever stop an unknown lady on the way and started wooing her,if I saw you and I like you, I will create an environment that will allow our part to cross once again, until there's familiarity between both of us. my last girl,we exchange contacts inside the bus while I'm heading back to my base, first she asked me about a particular location and the exact bus stop that she will alight in other to get to her new place, we started our discussion from there till she reached her location. I got her number but didn't care to call, she later called me to inform me that she has reached home, and started telling me how she is new in town,I still maintain my cool till one day,she called to greet me,then she started telling me about her self and asking to know me more, that she notice how comported I was that very day we met, we then suggest a place to meet, the rest is history. |
