Christianity EtcRe: Peller: 'TB Joshua, Oyakhilome Use Charms To Perform Miracles' by Melkizedek(m): 4:50pm On Feb 13, 2016
sexyexcalibur:
Mathew 10:25
It is enough for students to be like their teachers, and servants like theirmasters. If the head of the house has been called Beelzebul, how much more the members of his household!

Mark 3:22-26
And the teachers of the law who came down from Jerusalem said, “He is possessed by Beelzebul! By the prince of demons he is driving out demons.”
So Jesus called them over to him and began to speak to them in parables:“How can Satan drive out Satan? If a kingdom is divided against itself, that kingdom cannot stand. If a house is divided against itself, that house cannot stand. And if Satan opposes himself and is divided, he cannot stand; his end has come.
The second quote is why I've stopped engaging in finger pointing, I mean even Christ was accused of using demonic powers to do miracles..so all I can say is "by their fruits ye shall know them" and "in the end,the goat shall be separated from the sheep"

PoliticsRe: 'A President In Need Of New Disciples' - Dele Momodu by Melkizedek(m): 11:46am On Feb 13, 2016
Reyginus:
Democracy is only okay where the people are okay. Imagine a democracy where more than seventy percent of the populace shun rational thinking. That's Nigeria. Only smart people should earn the right to practise it the dumb will end up killing themselves.
you have an insight so unsual in this forum and even in Nigeria. the reason why places like Libya(before the fall of ghaddafi), saudi arabia and Iraq (before the overthrowing of saddam hussein) seemed to be peaceful and prosperous was because democracy didn't suit its people. Give it to them and watch how they slaughter themselves! democracy in itself is not bad, I believe it is the true mark of a civilized people, but not everyone can conform to it...
PoliticsRe: 40 Years After: Murtala Muhammed (a Bloody Coup) by Melkizedek(m): 11:29am On Feb 13, 2016
adipemcanis1:
It depends. He also kicked off the return to democracy...that ended in the Second Republic. (Indeed, one of the reasons for overthrowing Gowon was because Gowon said that a 1976 return to democracy was no longer feasible).Obasanjo just merely completed the democracy project started by Murtala

He was also very tough on corruption, and he himself returned his own stolen loot back to the treasury.

One other thing....he was accused by a newspaper of using armed soldiers to loot a bank...and he....went to court, and sued them for libel. And won his case.(Note..how many army leaders have gone to court before or since)

Yes coups are illegal. But in my opinion, the reason why they succeed is because Nigerians sit down at home and do nothing. And also because the political class too make a mess of things.(See the Second Republic....where corruption was a real problem).
No the reason why they succeeded was majorly because of the nigerian people's chronic selective amnesia and quick fix mentality akin to that of the isrealites in the wilderness...whenever a military coup plotter took over, the masses will flood the streets in jubilation that a corrupt civilian government has been overthrown. few months down the line they will start gnashing their teeth in agony and regret wishing to get rid of the men with guns..it has been a reoccurring scene for decades..nigerians just lack a sense of history..that is why they keep going in circles for over 50 years.
PoliticsRe: US Resumes Training Of Nigerian Troops For Anti-terror War by Melkizedek(m): 9:23pm On Feb 12, 2016
yea the same way they gave the iraqis military and logistics training after ousting saddam hussein only for ak-47 wielding camel bleepers to overrun their barracks and seize oil fields in Iraq...well if their "help" will prove decisive in eliminating boko haram and fulani militia footsoldiers then I am all for it...cuz we all know those fulani "herdsmen" sacking villages and communities are not really herdsmen..

ignorance in full throttle, so Op you think the lives of those dogs matter more than the harmless goats, cows and fowls you consume gleefully? when the follower of Christ was presented with a large sheet containing various animals in a vision he refused, saying he doesn't eat "unclean animals" of which God told him that all his creation are clean and none is unfit for consumption! get wisdom you ignorant humans!

you can percieve a member of the infamous Aisha Rice Eaters Association ( AREA ) from a mile away...you don't care about rivers state or any other state but lagos and imo? because your party lost out on those other strategic states..even your party chieftains are wailing cuz of it..if you're a lagosian then you can't be that interested in imo..and if you are an imolite, there is no way you will be more interested in faraway lagos than rivers state...abeg carry una coded wailing go sleep..

Only a political zombie and a member of aisha rice eaters association (AREA ) will vomit such rubbish...so the angels are fallible, but a mere mortal man like buhari is infallible? just when you think you've seen the apex of sycophants in this geographical expression, someone comes along and surprises you the more!

CareerRe: Federal University Lafia is Paying Half Salary for January 2016!!! by Melkizedek(m): 2:52pm On Feb 10, 2016

The unions are just being formed! This University, i.e., FULAFIA is about the least paid University among the nine "New" Universities established by Ex-President Jonathan. Most of the allowances paid in other universities are not paid in FULAFIA, and now the little that is being paid is to be slashed in half!
uhmm what can I say, life is harsh...the 'clueless one' built a new university thereby creating jobs and enlightening the youths in the area..only for him to be shoved out by the same people, hoping for paradise from an untried and untested 'messiah'...I am just passing through the thread by the way..
Christianity EtcRe: Why Are We Not Supposed To Eat Meat On Ash Wednesday And Fridays During Lent? by Melkizedek(m): 2:42pm On Feb 10, 2016
King James Bible
Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holyday, or of the new moon, or of the sabbath days :1st corinthians 2:16

King James Bible
Let not him that eateth despise him that eateth not; and let not him which eateth not judge him that eateth: for God hath received him...romans 14:3

the Word is clear..if you eat meat, it is no sin because all meat created by God is clean for consumption..if you abstain from meat for some religious reasons, you have not sinned either..neither should condemn each other..but if you do any of those (eating or not eating) without conviction in your spirit, then you have wronged yourself which is sin..

If Martin Luther King was a Nigerian, some Nigerians would have still accused him of seeking for attention even when it is obvious that he is fighting for their emancipation.
I tell you the truth, if Martin Luther King Jr happend to be a nigerian, he would have been termed an enemy of the state and to the peace and unity of Nigeria, and even some of his own people will condemn him..
RomanceRe: Married Woman Stuck With Her Lover In Enugu Hours After Sex by Melkizedek(m): 10:19am On Feb 10, 2016
Osgilliat:
It's a simple logic behind it, what the doctors need to do is give the woman an injection use in the labour room to dilate the phussy of the woman from contraction. And the thing would become wide and free the man joystick. Just some muscles of the woman down there are misbehaving.
one question though, why do we hear about this occurrence mostly between unmarried sexual partners?

Dear Igbo Women: In Biafra, Men would never allow you women to hold equal rights as them.

Women like Late Dora Akunyili, Okonjo Iweala, Ezekwesili and co would never reach the level they did in Nigeria under Biafra because Men are more superior to women. They would end up in the Kitchen cooking Okpa and Akidi beans for the rest of their lives. grin

#IgboWomenSayNoToBiafra.

grin
this is what happens when toddlers dabble in things beyond their age..and even with information so cheap and available they refused to seek wisdom. So tell me, who orchestrated the infamous aba women riot of 1929? decades before this geographical expression ever dreamt of getting it's independence...if you know the importance of women in igbo history you wouldn't have brazenly uttered such misguided bullcrap...have you heard about august meetings conducted by igbo women in Nigeria and how important it is in their various communities? well the Internet is a place where juveniles can come in anonymously to fan their immaturity. Get wisdom!
PoliticsRe: National Assembly Postpones Budget Passing Indefinitely by Melkizedek(m): 8:43am On Feb 10, 2016
kenonze:
i have taken my time to study the budget and all the conspiracies. It unfortunate that the presidency hurriedly submitted the budget without final Touch. Am 100% sure the budget was padded by budget mafians in budget planning office. Head will roll. The Special Adviser to president on Assembly Senator Ita Enyang will be sacrify. This is not uncommon over the years but in most cases, the mafians lobbies the senators which they couldn't do this time around for the fear of u know from BABA.

Kenai:
Hehehe. There they go again... Looking for scapegoats to hide their incompetence. But why should I be surprised?

When you have an incompetent, irresponsible iddiot for a leader, he will blame everyone and everything for his failures without accepting a shred of responsibility.
Here, their zombies are back with morronic threads, hoping to whitewash their leader's battered image. The soulless shills they are.

Ladies and gentlemen, do you recall the international gaffe committed by this same Buhari on September 2015, when the junketeer and his band of dunces embarked on a SIGHT-SEEING adventure in New York instead of attending the UN conference meeting on Insurgency? When they missed that meeting and the embarrassment went global, do you remember what happened next? They first lied that the meeting was UNOFFICIAL, hence unimportant; but when PremiumTimes exposed them as liars, they began to look for a scapegoat.
"Buhari's Team Accuses Ambassador Joy Ogwu Of Sabotage" was what followed. The illiterates weren't even ashamed of themselves, they went about trying to pin the blame on the poor woman for their hero's EMBARRASSING INCOMPETENCE. Their zombies went wild on Nairaland trying to spin it, while their inbred, slow-witted tribalistic monkeys even accused the woman of having a "BIAFRAN AGENDA" grin
Pray tell, what eventually became of that show? Shey the matter don die silently? Buhari and his team are FULLY aware that the bulk of his supporters are DIMWITS, and all it takes to keep them going is publishing some junk on the page of a newspaper whenever the man's incompetence is laid bare for the whole world to see. He has ABSOLUTELY no respect for them, and frankly, I can't blame him.

Wasn't this the same dunce who delayed appointment of ministers for 6 whole months while choosing to work with only Perm Secs? Didn't his dumb supporters equally try to run with that narrative that "Perm Secs are all we need"? He didn't accuse those Perm Secs of being Jonathan's men oh. Now he's been exposed with his disgusting budget and he's looking for a scapegoat. Tell me, did Perm Secs also draft the State House budget?

Mr. I-Am-Slow-To-Avoid-Mistakes shot himself on the foot and his supporters are aimlessly running around in panic. He has been TOTALLY exposed for the fraud he is. And please tell him to drop his fake "Anti Corruption" act, as we can all see it was nothing but a LIE.

A bad technician will always blame his tools.
that spirit of forgetfulness and selective amnesia that has plagued majority of the nigerian populace for decades will forever be distant from you and your household! The nigerian politicians have one lucky trump card, the memory of the masses...the average nigerian has the memory of a goldfish when it comes to political matters, and the politicians milk them for all it is worth because of that..

People are dying in this country daily from accidents. I blame the youths for all these...not demanding from our leaders. Yes death is inevitable when its time, however accidents can be prevented with good roads, traffic regulations and most importantly improvement in the socio-economic status of the people which in turn make them to value their lives and drive safely.

RIP...very sad a loved one or friend will leave in the morning, maybe the last you will see them...by Nigerian standard.
paul walker died on a very good road (by nigerian standard) with a very smooth ride..what am I trying to say? SPEED KILLS! You see drivers hitting 140km/hr on the highway, trying to prove a point that they're speed demons? at such speed you are entirely at the mercy of the vehicle..

He doesn't even act like he plans to go to heaven by his extravagant lifestyles here on earth. Which time would he have to reflect on heavenly things?
If I may ask, how many prophets of God or disciples of Christ in the bible ever spent lavishly? Or amassed such wealth? And some people here would come and tell me "judge not, he is a man of God". Before you quote me, remember the bible says "by their fruits you shall know them".
abeg how did you come to get the statistics that "80% are languishing in abject hunger and poverty"...I would like to know how you came about the figure.
