Lagos state governor Akinwunmi Ambode, gave a glimpse of just how much he loves his mum as he penned a sweet message to and for her today.

Celebrating his mother today being mother’s day, Ambode shared a photo of her on social media and penned a sweet message alongside telling her just how much she means to him.

A microfinance institution, OHHA Microfinance Bank Limited, has accused Sterling Bank Plc of defrauding it of N219 million it deposited with the bank.

The accusation was made in a letter to Sterling Bank by OHHA Microfinance Bank’s lawyers, Festus Keyamo Chambers. Dated 20 February and jointly signed by Messrs B.I Dakum and John Ainetor, the letter stated that OHHA Microfinance Bank operates two fixed deposit accounts (No. 514/1152051/74/0 Deal Ref. Slip No. DD No. 0138058 and No. 514/11520505/1/74/1 Deal Ref. Slip No. DD No.0133059) with Sterling Bank.

Both accounts, it said, have been operated for years and contain a deposit of N219million. The accounts said the microfinance bank was operated by Mr. Oliver Anidiobi, manager of Sterling Bank Market Road branch, Enugu State, who also doubles as its account manager.

While the accounts were in operation, OHHA Microfinance Bank said it exchanged many letters with Sterling Bank.

In each of its replies, OHHA Microfinance Bank added, Sterling Bank confirmed the existence of the accounts and informed that the microfinance bank’s investment would be rolled over at Sterling Bank’s prevailing money market rate.

However, OHHA Microfinance Bank said that when it instructed Sterling Bank to terminate the fixed deposit and credit its current account on maturity with the principal and accrued interest, the latter refused.

This made OHHA Microfinance Bank to briefed O. A. Omotayo and Associates, a law firm, which made the same demands.
Sterling Bank, added OHHA Microfinance Bank, admitted the existence of the accounts but denied the existence of any fixed deposit investment.

A Nigerian woman who escaped from her madam in Russia has narrated how she was trafficked to Russia for prostitution by another Nigerian woman and raped by four drunk white men.

Mrs. Osasis John, [not real name], now pregnant for a boyfriend she abandoned five years ago to seek greener pastures in Russia,said she left Nigeria in 2013, but before then was taken to a juju priest at Sabongiga Ora,a suburb in Edo State, where she swore to an oath.

Narrating her story to newsmen at the round table meeting organised by the leadership of the Nigerian Senate in Benin City to proffer solutions to the problems of illegal migration and human trafficking, the lady said, she was told by her madam that she will engage in prostitution for six months and then introduced to another business.

It was based on this premise, she said, she agreed to go to Russia, signed an agreement to pay$50,000.00 out of which she paid $15,000.00 before her escape.

“I went to Russia in 2013, and the reason why I decided to go Russia was because, I gained admission into Edo State College of Education [COLBEN]but could not pay the fees, so when the woman approached me, I agreed to go to Russia.

We agreed that I will pay her $ 50.000 and when I got to Russia,we were up to 20 girls sleeping in one room. We used to go out 3.00.pm and come back 3.00am. Out of the agreed $50.000,I paid $15,000.

The worst day for me was the dayfour drunk men gang raped me.I was called by my madam to see a client, but I was not aware that they were four men, all drunk and when they took me out, they gang raped me, taking their turns one after another in a very cold night.

At a time, I became tired of what I was doing, but the fear of the oath I swore was what held me bound”, she said.

Hi guys,

Today, I was just having some random thoughts and different things came to my mind regarding the wonders these Oyinbos have invented to make Life easier and I was like WOW.

These people are great!… but what’s stopping them from getting the cure for HIV/AIDS? I asked myself
If they are able to invent all these

1. An Aeroplane is capable of carry 600 people flying from one country to another when ordinary paper can’t hang in the air for 2 seconds, what is stopping them?

2. If they can build[b] Ships[/b] capable of carrying up to 300 cars and can spend 2 months on the sea without sinking but ordinary stone can’t float for 1 minute, what is stopping them?

3. If they can invent[b] Smartphones[/b], and we can now talk to our family and friends who are 5 million miles away, what is stopping them?
If I should continue listing all what seems impossible but they have successfully invented ehn, 2 months I can’t finish.
All these Invented but the Cure to HIV?AIDS still remains a misery for them Is that even Possible? I asked myself, We need to hear from you all what might be holding them back.

President Buhari’s son, Yusuf, has returned to Nigeria after undergoing further treatment for the head injuries he sustained in a motorbike accident he was involved in last December.

Yusuf, according to Thisday, returned to Nigeria yesterday February 26. Yusuf had broken a limb and sustained an injury to the head in an accident when himself and his friend were having a motorbike race in Abuja.

He was rushed to the Cedarcrest hospital in Abuja where he had undergone a surgery at a clinic in Abuja. He as later transferred to Germany for further medical attention.

According to the poster, these Children went on Rampage and they dealt with their Mum mercilessly after a Man of God sorry Pastor told them she was a witch.

Apparently, Methylated Spirit and Coke, is the ‘new wave’ among Nigerian youths.
When Olamide’s “Science Student” was released early this year, it was heavily criticised for endorsing and celebrating an already worrisome drug culture among Nigeria’s youth.

Apparently, young men are mixing medical-grade methylated spirit with the popular soft drink, Coca-Cola to create a cocktail that gets them high.
This unholy mixture is yet to have a name but from all indications, it is catching on fast.

Nollywood veteran actress, Joke Muyiwa, her son and daughter-in-law are grateful to God this Sunday after they all gracefully survived a ghastly motor accident some hours ago

She took to her page to share a photo from the accident she survived and asked her followers to thank God for the gift of life.
Nollywood filmmaker, Tunde-ola Yusuf, also shared in detail how the accident occurred. He wrote on his page,


thanking God for the life of the veteran Actress @iamjokemuyiwa that of her son @iamthespis her daughter in law and one other who all were involved in Auto crash today February 10th, when her Volkswagen Bora car wheel got hooked on speed.
May God bless her with a new car and continue to guide and guard her and her household. Ewu ina ki pa Awodi, Awodi o ku ewu.

A popular Reverend Father has died in an accident along Oba-nnewi road as residents troop out to mourn him.
A man of God identified as Reverend Tochukwu Maduanusi, has died after getting involved in a ghastly road accident along Oba/Nnewi road.
He gave up the ghost after he was rushed to Nnewi Teaching Hospital in Anambra state.

His friends and relatives were pictured crying helplessly when they saw his corpse.

Two suspects dressed in Army camouflage have been arrested by the Niger State police command for robbing one Usman Saidu, a sergeant of the Nigerian Army Guards Brigade, Asokoro in Abuja. .

They were also said to have in the past carried out robbery operations and terrorised residents around Zuma Rock area in Madalla, Suleja Council of the state. .

The suspects, Peter Ali, 27, and Paul Isyaku, 23, were trailed before being arrested by the Police after robbing the soldier of his car. .

Saidu was returning from Abuja with his Honda Accord car, at Zuma Rock area along the Abuja -Kaduna highway when the robbers attacked him and dispossessed him of his car, phone and other valuables.

The bandits, numbering six, were wearing Army camouflage uniform to carry out this heinous act. The suspects permanently stationed themselves on Abuja-Kaduna road, robbing innocent people on a daily basis. Ali said they had been operating on the Abuja-Kaduna highway for over five years

Nigerian Singer and actor, Folarin Falana, aka Falz, has disclosed how he almost died from a robbery incident.

Falz speaking with Punch said he almost died with his management team sometime ago after his driver was shot during a robbery incident on the high way.

According to him, looking at his life at the moment, God saved him for a reason, adding that that was one of his toughest experiences in his life.

He said “In November 2013, I had a terrible accident. It was a near-death experience and I was in the vehicle with my management team.
“The accident was caused by armed robbery. We were on the highway when suddenly the car was shot at. The driver was killed and we ended up in a ditch.

“I sustained injuries and the visible scars on my body are from that day.
“I really thought it was the end, especially when the driver died and his foot was still on the throttle, making the car to continue moving. As the car was about to crash, I just covered my face and brace for impact. I thought that at least, one should die as a fine boy.
“After the crash, the armed robbers came and ransacked all the bags in the car, looking for money. Today, I continue to remember that incident and I know that God kept me alive for a reason.”

Speaking about his plans for marriage, Falz said he had been under pressure to get married since BankyW got married.
“In recent past, people have been putting me under a lot of pressure to get ready. When Banky W and Adesua got married last year and it almost broke the Internet, it put a lot of pressure on bachelors like me. Everybody is getting married; so, I think it’s high time for me.” He added
