I remembered some time ago when I went to get some groceries at the mall. I forgot I bought groundnut earlier before I got to the mall. I kept it in my pocket and went ahead to get my stuff. After picking the items I needed. I went straight to the cashier's desk and joined the queue. If you see the hot chicks that were behind me, even the cashier wasn’t left out in this contest of beauty. Omo, I was already thinking after paying for my groceries I’ll wait a little bit and make advances on any of them.

It got to my turn to pay. The cashier calculated my items and told me the price of what I bought. She asked me if I was paying with cash or a card.
I told her cash preferably. My right hand reached for my pocket. The moment I dipped my hand in, I withdrew the money and the groundnut escaped from the side and fell on the floor. The cellophane got burst and the groundnut sprawled in different directions.
I was just looking at the #50 groundnut littering the place I stood. The girls at my back saw the groundnut come out of my pocket and couldn't help but giggle. The cashier was just looking at me in a puzzled way as she extend her hand to receive the money for what I bought.
What got me embarrassed was when one lady who was struggling her way to the front queue said, “How fine boy go shook groundnut for pocket dey chop am like small pikin?”
I couldn't say anything, that day I wished everything could come to an end quickly because my ego has been dealt with and the motivation to approach turned zero.
I had to hurry and take my stuff out before they finish me with their hypocritical look.


There are more embarrassing experiences I had but I would like to hear from the house of NL what embarrassing thing has fell out of their pocket/bag

Table fork right inside the church.

I was a student in dormitory then and this item were very important to us. I was due to go back to school that day so i put it in the pocket in order not to forget it

In the first place, gas cost has risen astronomically globally since Russia-Ukraine war started. Read up on why it is so.

On your unnecessary dramatics about food, parents still feed their children as no sensible responsible parent will let his or her children go without food because of high gas prices.

For as long as this war continues, gas price will remain high and that is why even Europe has started telling their citizens to cut down on gas usage and switch to alternatives, even EU itself has switched to other energy sources like coal.

If wealthy EU countries can switch to alternatives, that should teach you how to be sensible with your finances too when prices of any commodity is going sky high because of artificial reasons. That is called demand destruction to force price down.

In Nigeria, we can switch to kerosene, coal etc to reduce demand for gas so that those who want to further profiteer from the scarcity can reduce their price.

Sensible parents have since bought stoves and coal pots for now like Europeans in order to wait out this war period and will get back to gas when the price falls.
This is the way out not just lamenting and forming a lamentation group.

Gas itself , due to the deleterious effect of its combustion CO2 emision on our climate, will one day be phased out once we perfect the renewables.

N:B To those 'entitled' ones screaming we have gas in Nigeria, let me remind you that between the gas underground and your kitchen is a lot of billions of USD investments you do not have o and those who made the investment from their hard-earned money can not keep subsidizing your gas consumption endlessly especially when they have willing buyers and international contracts that pay more for this gas in the scarce forex our country currently needs.

Banking on gas subsidy after you enjoy petrol and electricity subsidies that our folks in the villages do not enjoy is an unjust ungodly welfare system you use to kill those poor villagers who are not enjoying your privileges of electricity,petrol subsidies and now gas subsidy but picking your bills , environmental and social costs while you feed fat on resources govt could use to give them basic amenities like pipeborne water; clinics, security, schools, standalone solar generators etc.
Their blood is on your hands if you want to extend your subsidy appetite now to advocating for gas subsidy at their expense.

FG must never subsidize gas. Get creative and responsible. Kill this lazy youth with entitlement mentality of yours.
