Lagos state that will never allow a non-yoruba person enter any office of influence, made Mr Akabueze commissioner for economic planning? Haaaaa

My mum was a secondary school teacher in lagos state, she had been invited on numerous occasions to apply for the post of principal, which by her level/years of service she was over-qualified for, she never got it till she retired.......

All her colleagues who got it, had to do affidavits, adding yoruba middle names to their names (especially Edo/Delta people) and had to claim to be indigenes in lagos via affidavit, claiming to be born in lagos, to be appointed to be common secondary school principals and even at that they still had to settle and use connection!!!


And the same antecedence apply in the ministries, even if you are yoruba, at some point in time your state of origin must change to lagos, if want to be promoted to any office of influence at an sphere.........

So Akabueze emerging commissioner in lagos state, no be ordinary everyday event in lagos, it was a very big deal..........

Before you know Igbo people started campaigning for public office across all political parties in lagos, it was a frenzy in Amuwo, somebody had just leaked Intel to igbo's folks in the neighbourhood that they may have the numbers to tip an actual ballot! In lagos!
