We remember & shall not forget. What about the refineries in Warri and PH, are they not part of Niger Delta area? And the illegal ones your brothers are building in Bayelsa, Rivers and Delta States, how many more do you want? And in case you do not know, the one in Lagos was built by Dangote, a private individual. This is just to upgrade your knowledge. |

And if your man, Yahaya, is not guilty, why doesn't he simply submit himself for questioning by the agency, instead of running around like a chased rat. They are not going to kill him, at the end they will give him an administrative bail, and he will be back home to prove his innocency, if true. |

In South Africa they have uninterrupted power supply all year round, and may not need power generating sets or security men for their masts operations. And in SA, foreign exchange instability is minimal. But in Nigeria, they buy diesel at high cost to operate their individual mast, with security men employed to prevent theft. Also FX instability is high in Nigeria. Therefore to stay afloat, they need to increase price. |

Imagine cut off mark is 140, why stress yourself to get 200 and above when you can just go there and score 100-140? I don't think you understand the system. Scoring 140 does not guarantee you automatic admission. In fact students with such scores are hardly ever admitted to an higher institution, except those mushroom private higher institutions, where they will pay excessive school fees. |

Too bad in the 21st century. Obviously, they don't want Ayedatiwa, which also confirmed the outcome of the election at the primaries being fraudulent as declared by some party loyalists. It was declared inconclusive at some point.
A bad omen for the apc in Ondo where Jegede also holds sway. He really gave late aketi a though time. All your analysis about politics in Ondo State are off the radar. And political assassination is not so common in the state as you insinuates. And Fagbamigbe was killed with others during the Ajasin political imbroglio, when Ajasin was cheated by the federal might of NPN, to which Ondo people said no way. Moreover, PDP is a dead party in Ondo State. APC is the only party of consequence in the state. Though both the parties are filled with political rogues. |

God1000: His father married 13 wives with 53 children, so this is not surprising coming from him.
1 Corinthians 7 and states that polygamy is unlawful; and that one man is to have but one wife, and to keep to her; and that one woman is to have but one husband, and to keep to him and the wife only has a power over the husband's body, a right to it, and may claim the use of it: this power over 1 Corinthians 7:6 [6]But I speak this by permission, and not of commandment. In this scripture quoted by you, Apostle Paul did not say anything about polygamy, but a man should get married if he cannot control himself. And at the same time he said he was speaking for himself, and not according to commandments. |

Education › Re: Why Is There No Uniform Cut Of Marks For Unity Schools In Nigeria? by membranus: 6:56pm On Apr 27, 2024 |
adanny01: The fact that you don't understand why is not strange.
What is unity school in the first place? It's a school that represents unity i.e one school where you meet people from all parts of Nigeria.
So if every state must be in every unity school, and all states are given the same number of slots, say 20. If 20million students apply from Anambra but only 15 students applied from Yobe, You get the difference in cutoff points. That's means for any student from Anambra has a 1 in million or 0.0001% chance to get admission and a person from Yobe has a 130% chance to get the same admission. The way to apply that percentage is the cut off marks. It's the same reason that the Jamb cutoff for MBBS is higher than Zoology or why your 350 in Jamb from Anambra doesn't automatically qualify you for admission in all Federal universities.
While Anambra students queue up in millions to get a chance to go to a unity school, the slots for people of Yobe is not even filled.
This unfilled slots defeats the aim of unity school. So they want Yobe students to be there, hence the almost zero cut off mark.
You can't say let us then give Anambra all the slots because they have more brains, that means some unity schools will have only Anambra, Imo, Enugu, Ebonyi and Abia state students only. That school now fails as a unity school, it is now a southeast Unity school.
How many Hausa/Fulani do you think will allow his daughter go to a unity school 3 states away? In the north, parents are begged even at this time and age to send children to school.
What do you expect? These things are made with reasons. Succinctly explained. Thanks. |

What I am saying is that, you don't hear APC folks shouting and raving when actual deaths and violence is meted to our people. They should use the same energy they use against Igbo people against Fulani too when real violence and deaths occur
They should go to Alaba rago in Lagos and tell Fulani people too not to come out and vote if theose ones won't kill off their miserable heads The Fulani and Hausa people in Lagos know their place. You won't hear them calling Lagos a no man's land like the Igbos. |
