Agree with you. We all pay 10% tax on our dividends. Maybe they didn't pay theirs, hence one of the reasons for asking them to return it.
They will only pay that "7.5%" when the funds is taken out of the company and back to investors in SA, hence it ought to have been paid before they repatriated the cash.

Company's don't get to pay that WHT on retained earnings.

Am impressed Chibuking is yet to make any comment. I mean, there's been enough bullets for him to drive home his bear bear saga, still nothing yet.

There is no time frame in my post. So you have no idea how long I will hold when I eventually buy.

Your panic forecast is definitely not for me smiley.
We all have a breaking point Sir. One can afford to hold when the price remains stagnant. If it continues going lower, it will get to one's breaking point.

Not that am wishing anyone bad luck sir. I have seen it all, both on the negative and the positive and I know how it plays out. No one wants to be there when the shit hits the fan, one will run and ask question later.

All in all, am trying to say that your list can go on and on and on.....

All the best. May it workout as you wish for.

Index is putting up a fight around 35k as expected. But it will crack soon.

How deep it will go when it does cracks, is what is unknown….25k? undecided

I prefer to let volumes thin out a bit, particularly with the big caps. When big volumes are still trading, it may suggest the big players are still fighting it out, which could still lead to some unexpected big offers, crashing prices further.

Here’s what I think is playing out: (I may be completely wrong though)

1. The SMART foreign investors have already jaaaa’ed; they sold to the foreign investors doing longer throat for interim dividend

2. The LONGER THROAT foreign investors (after chopping dividend) will wake up and start selling to the mugu foreign investors, who will eventually get trapped or sell at loss

3. The MUGU foreign investors will sell to local institutional investors and big retail investors, or convert to long term, when they realize the magnitude of their loss.

As all this is unfolding, volumes are thinning out and prices looking more attractive shocked.

4. We the small small retail investors will then start picking up the scraps and wait grin. (This should be the so called bonanza period grin). But if it’s looking like the bonanza might not go round, we too will join the scrambling at number 3.

The cycle will start again with the SMART foreign investors moving in again to mop up from the frustrated mugu foreign investors who now want to get out desperately.

Right now, I’ll say we are somewhere around number 2.

Not a recommendation please!
5. Small Small Small investors like you after buying, will wait for 1 month and realise that prices are still falling. Panic sets in after 6 weeks and you then sell to small small trader like me.

All these theory shaaa. Una do well oooo.

When am ready to buy, someone will definitely sell to me (Either the person will sell at a profit or at a loss).

Let me not say more on whom will sell to me before forum members will think am here to throw stone. Zenith once refused to go below N25 and today is readily available at N22.

I don't intend to buy at the lowest of the low, just the price levels that will make me sleep well at night (considering how the country also take be).

And if I miss, say Dangote Flour, Dangote Sugar will be there! Even Skye Bank made better returns this year than Access Bank. When the time is right for me, I will buy and still make my profit. People can start loading Zenith today, after all there's every likelihood that it will trade pass N30 (and that's over 35% PAF) but current prices cannot guarantee that I will buy and look the other way.

Over 500m units of Diamond once became available at N1 and nobody saw that coming. Anything is possible in this our NSE.

#Keyword, am not after the lowest level.

And all in all, if I don't make profit in 2019, there's still 2020 and beyond (Provided I am alive and my capital intact).

Let me get back to my duty post. I want to win employee of the month (as NSE no gree pay).

OBAGADAFFI:
Option 1. Sell, and buy at a lower price

Option 2. Hold, and average down when it falls .
What if he sells and the price refuses to fall further?

What was his plan when he bought? People need to develop their own plan and stick to it. Everything that happens here is noise. His fear has to do with what he has heard here and that's wrong. He hasn't even bothered to do any due diligence to understand why those low prices are being touted. All the best to him shaaa....

We.are just starting and you are screaming market crash already. Wait till the stampede starts.

There are people that bought early this year, under the hype that Nigeria is out of the woods, it can only get better, this is the time to buy, etc..... Once they check their portfolio and panic sets in, even the pond that swallowed Janet will get swallowed by an ocean.

Very interesting time. My only regret is that things seems to be moving much more faster than anticipated and my fingers will soon start itching me badly!

...DangCem is just 1 out of 30 major capitalised stocks that dictate the move on NSE ASI. So a move of the NSE is not only reflecting DangCem, but rather 29 other big companies, especially GTB and NESTLE. To me, this is not a distortion. These stocks generally dictates the direction for others either short or long term and the data is there to back it up
grin grin grin grin grin
Thanks I got you. But I presently do not trust these charts. cheesy grin

BullBearMkt:
...as rightly predicted at the beginning of the week, NSE index finally met BULLS reaction at the 50% Fib level and formed a pinbar (Chart 1). This indicates bear exhaustion. Next 2 weeks market reaction will be interesting as short term rally is most likely in some stocks. What I am looking for are stocks that have reached either 61.8% or better still 78.6% fib level to take advantage of the short term price rally.

As explained to @mendes911 at the start of the week, DangCem, likely to meet a reversal at 201 which correspond to 61.8% fib level - chart 2.

Please note that this is a short term trade and might not be good for everyone as the overall market sentiment is still bearish.

PLAN YOUR TRADE AND TRADE YOUR PLAN
grin grin grin grin grin
I truly got your explanation but remember my main concern was whether other stocks will join DangCem in bouncing back.

You should also discount that DangCem is a stock that moves when a very heavy weight is either buying or selling, hence its distortion to the index can be very misleading. I prefer a scenario where majority of stocks are losing or gaining, either with or without DangCem.

We keep watching and keep learning as well.
