PoliticsRe: Amaechi: Fg Has Abandoned Crossriver and Abia States by mensdept: 8:07am On Jan 08, 2015
Amaechi, when last have you even slept in Port Harcourt? Up and down everywhere for the last 4 years like a chicken during Thanksgiving week.

You call 2 BILLION naira meager? What's Rivers state allocation every year? Is it not more? For the last 7+ years as governor did you turn Port Harcourt into Marseille or Miami?

What highways systems or medical centers did you build, or stadiums? $ 60 million would get the Sharks a great world class facility, and with some strategic marketing, they could be profitable. How about a medical center of 4 cardio, kidney, and general practice hospitals with world class equipment and a great management firm to ensure their profitability? After all, we hear Nigerians spent $2.5 Billion in medical tourism last year, and if a MEAGER $200 million could be made and retained in Rivers, I think that'll be good right?

Why the supreme court came from no where to install this man as governor is another story
PoliticsRe: Nigerians Won’t Recognise Themselves In 4yrs If They Vote Jonathan —BUHARI by mensdept: 7:58am On Jan 08, 2015
Sylvarresta:
Buhari We know...military dictator from the long gone 1980s and currently civilian dictator of opposition parties from 2003 till 2023, by then hopefully disqualified by INEC
Amechi we know...Supreme court appointed Governor on quack claims he was "supposed" to be PDP nominee, even though the people voted and endorsed Omehia as governor, a man more promising and poised. Currently vacating his duties as governor for the last 7 years to be dancing at rallies, photo oops (LOL), fighting GEJ for basically no reason except joblessness, and being sidelined when it was all said and done by APC
Fashola we know...another governor for 7+ years who inherited the already fairly descent former FCT. Met very average expectations of average Nigerians (or in this case Lagosians) 1st term, but slowly faded into sinister roles by 2nd term, expelling non Yorubas, giving traditional rulers who didn't do anything large monies, playing to the script of Tinubu and co, and so far, business as usual.
Who is Jonathan...
The First President in a long time with an advanced degree that's trying to make changes in this British named country, but we the people are holding him and ONLY him responsible for the mess, even though we are chief contributors to it. If you doubt that, then just donate some more money to a Private Jet owning pastor

PoliticsRe: we Need Change But Buhari Is Not An Option by mensdept: 7:37am On Jan 08, 2015
Buhari, a military dictator from 1983 to come and be president in 2015. Yeah, thats a very good ni.ger area, I mean Nigerian idea. That's the type of backwardness, I mean change, that we need today. After all, there's just nobody else at ALLLLLLLL. He's the one and only. See all the pictures, he looks like Obama in one, another pix he's in Calabar quack stadium and then on Bus with Rochas, who by the way is sporting Taliban scarf.

It's just something special about African military guys, even those from the 1970s and 1980s, wanting to come back and rule, even though half of the continent (the poorest of the 6) are under the age of 40, a number decreasing daily.

We could even get all these pastors as Vice Presidents because they speak to the lord daily, without interruption from NEPA and the likes, or better yet, Nollywood actors, because we the people are not SERIOUS ABOUT NATION BUILDING.
PoliticsRe: PDP Will Win 2015 Election Through SW,SS And SE-primate Ayodele's Vision by mensdept: 7:23am On Jan 08, 2015
customized13:
sadTHE founder and General Overseer of Inri Evangelical Spiritual Church, Primate Elijah Ayodele, has said that the winner of February 14, 2015 presidential election has been revealed to him by God.
In an exclusive interview with Sunday Tribune, the cleric, renowned for the accuracy of his prophecies, including the election of Ayo Fayose as the governor of Ekiti State and the recent leadership crisis in the Central Bank of Nigeria, revealed this in his prophecies for 2015 on issues that will affect the country and the world at large.
According to Ayodele, “2015 elections will hold but will be peaceful in some areas and not in other areas. As it is, from what I see at the moment, PDP will win, amidst serious criticism.”
Speaking further on popular speculations about the APC clinching the presidential ticket, Primate Ayodele stated that, “APC and PDP will share the North; PDP will win a state in the South-West, the East and the South-South but the core North will be a bit difficult for the PDP to win. However, when Jonathan gets a second term, I don’t see peace; except the president obeys the word of God. I don’t see the APC winning the presidential election. Even if Buhari wins, he can’t put an end to insurgency, nor can he fight corruption. His will be worse than Jonathan.”
Ayodele also made predictions on the economy, the aviation sector, entertainment, media, agriculture, electricity, security, health, religion, education, telecommunications, oil and gas, judiciary and the international community.

For even a reporter to deem this as newsworthy in 2015 means we have not really changed much as a people. Again, these guys wakeup one morning , coin a heavy phrase as the name of their church, give themselves heavy title (General Overseer, Senior Pastor, Primate, Prophet, etc) and carry on with the general deceit.

Does anyone know why the western world and some parts of the Muslim world (Yes I know, even Muslim areas) are very successful nations today? Because the PEOPLE decided to engage in nation building instead of prophet following. They decided to build more factories than churches and mosque.

Just a FYI opinion

This again, is the mindset of the generation of "Nigerian" leaders that have been failing the youth time in/time out. They cut across tribe and religion, party and occupation, even from stupid "pastors", the same thing, the same talk.

Why must it be to wait until this date and that, or one region will decide who will be president, or even a zone to decide who would be governor. Its madness

Not that it makes someone better or worse, but the heavy title of this thread, you'll think there would be something truly "Powerhouse", but frankly, the more you look, the less you see.

Perhaps the governors "swearing in" could help these folks to think seriously about a cultural event

Yomieluv:
We are not buying any of these, all we want is action, not someone who has no balls to be decisive.
Is being decisive overthrowing governments and issuing out Decrees? Or waiting until election time to hijack presidential positions so that no real opposition emerges?

A lot of the problems in the country are not even from Aso Rock, but from we the people, who of course, prefer EPL over NPL (see Sports), Owambe and Asheobi to organizing voter turnouts, running to Yankee to give birth and medical checkups because green passport is "worthless", and on and on.

Why don't we hold state governors and senators accountable? Why don't we question why pastors are having private jets and building more and more "camps" everywhere when there are not even enough factories to go around? People say GEJ is anti-Igbo, anti-North, anti-Yoruba, etc., and when the facts don't add up, we don't grab and query them for incisive remarks...

Can you re-read what they posted. APC is just another bunch of guys wanting to perpetuate their grip on the booty from the oil.

Buhari is just carrying out the script of being "flag-bearer".

He knows he ain't winning anything. He's just having some more fun since 2003 when the powers in that Council of State met and said,

"Buhari, na u we go make flag bearer for oppo party, so no person go just enter, carry election, phuckup every tin'"
PoliticsRe: Nigerians Won’t Recognise Themselves In 4yrs If They Vote Jonathan —BUHARI by mensdept: 6:31am On Jan 08, 2015
This just shows that APC is a party made up of folks that even PDP would be ashamed to have presented as candidates. Look at Rochas. He is telling us that under PDP there were no Igbo in top positions, even though they produced 7 Senate Presidents, Service Chiefs in Navy, Police, Army, had ministers of Defense, Finance, AVIATION, Health, Education, etc.

What is he doing with nearly N150 billion, yearly allocation?

Is it ANPP/CPP/APC or any of these useless parties that give Igbo/Easterners/Midwesterners/Middle Beltans positions?

Then comes the Nollywood star himself called Buhari, carrying out the role to derail any real opposition by becoming the flag bearer. He has the guts to brag about being the MILITARY HEAD OF STATE in 1984.

Illegible, fraudulent, deceitful, and foul.

You guys need to stop having inferiority complex with these military thugs
PoliticsRe: Why Buhari??? by mensdept: 6:24am On Jan 08, 2015
Isk:
This is the problem I have with many Buhari's supporters. I hear them make the same comment ' I don't care who comes in, it just shouldn't be GEJ. I just want change: ANY change.' This makes me question their judgement and wonder if they making informed decisions or sentimental decisions. Not all change is good. The exact thing was said when OBJ was President, and look who we got- GEJ.
I'm not in support of any of the candidates. I will just look at their pasts and their plans for the future before I decide who to vote for. I personally think none of them is right for the part but they are the options we have unfortunately.
I feel you, but there are always other options.

Buhari and GEJ are all puppets. Buhari only comes in as presidential flag bearer for the so-called major opposition party so that no real quality candidate actually emerges, because you and I know Nigerians would vote that person in.

So he's acting out his Council of State script.

One or two option(s) is to vote and support a credible candidate/candidates from other parties, or an outright revolution that would topple and probe past national assembly, state, and even so-called religious leaders (i.e. Redeemed, Winners, Supreme Islamic etc.).

We need Guillotine in this country

I'm glad that everyone is not being fooled here by all the useless pictures of Buhari left and right. Can't some of you guys see he himself is just acting. The job is already done, that is, Buhari is the "OPPOSITION" candidate and therefore no real change will take place.

It's the same script since 2003, because they know, that fools will say he is good or can be good, or he is disciplined, and yata yata doo, therefore legitimizing his campaign and ignoring how he has by fiat, become flag bearer election in/election out.

All these pastors. And you see, when some of us told tuna that Adeboye and Winners are all part of the ruling mafia, people could not handle the truth.

These pastors are all about making money and grabbing power. You can't see them calling on serious changes, or themselves wanting revolution, but only to join in the manipulation of the masses, who themselves, are not serious
PoliticsRe: 32 Years Ago - Youth Of Nigeria Please Don't Be Fooled ! by mensdept: 7:36pm On Dec 29, 2014
This is why people should start thinking critically.

Buhari is part of the scheme to defraud Nigeria the more. That is why any serious opposition is infiltrated/hijacked by Buhari, therefore denying any serious change to the status quo. Thats why you see him automatically becoming flag bearer after flag bearer to pretend to run as President.

PoliticsRe: MKO Abiola Airport To Be Completed By May 2014- Contractor by mensdept: 7:32pm On Dec 29, 2014
These leaders are mostly clueless and know that the only think that they could do is to building quack "international" airports in every state, even those states that don't even have up to 2 million people.

Instead of building highway systems, medical centers, mega shopping areas, factories, etc., their quack and corrupt nature only allows for airport.

I think it already is with Asaba, Enugu, and Owerri, then if you want to count Port as well. Anambra needs this airport for sure due to the high amount of economic activity in the state and international travelers.
Seriously? Another airport in a already tight airspace. Asaba get airport, Enugu get, Owere, Port Harcourt, Uyo, they all get.

Why not make (and perhaps the one in Enugu is in process) one of these airports World Class and well managed, thereby bringing in billions in the region. Let other areas focus on other things

What Muhammadu Buhari achieved in 20 months as head of state and in less than 4 years as PTF Chairman will not be achieved by Goodluck Jonathan in 30 years if given the chance!
For those of us who have been passionately watching political events in this Country, we know Buhari has in the past appeared before commissions or panels of enquiry and he has always come out with a clean bill of health. In other words, he has never been indicted by any panel.
He is the only former head of state in this country with no foreign account. Here is a Man who served as PTF
Chairman and decided not to take any salary because, according to him, he was already getting his pension as a former head of state.
Nigeria really needs Buhari next year so that the corruption that now wears a diamond crown under Goodluck Jonathan will be meaningfully addressed to the satisfaction of Nigerians.
Nigerians must be vigilant and not allow unrepentant government apologists on the social media and other platforms to bamboozle them with tissues of lies as we have seen with some of the unimaginably fallacious and unbelievably misleading comments about Buhari here.
Nigerians, we must be vigilant if our Country must be put back on the right track.
I am one person who will not vote a mere memory of a man from 1983 to come and rule in 2015 and beyond. Some of you guys have been so militarized/colonialized that you accept and retain the same recycled filth day in and day out.
