I saw the same link about all those kids being used in the North to makeup those "soaring" numbers. But truly, that's not even the problem. Its the notion that people are happy a former military junta leader is back on the saddle, just some years after another military leader sat on the saddle for 8 years scheming to go for a 3rd term. The same "Lets him try, we should be happy, we need to move forward", as usual, same shyt in 1999, 2003, 2007, 2011, and 2015. And you wonder why we are labeled a failed, not failing, but FAILED state. We the people are not serious |
He wants to congratulate GEJ for maturity, yet has he matured? |
Of course Buhari is no Lincoln, even Clinton or Obama are not said to be anywhere close to Lincoln. Now you see why our people are foolish. They look at their history and can't find anyone remotely great, except the military boys who were semi-iliterate holding guns and creating states like Rock state abi Plateau state and we all followed. Someone had asked on nairaland what Buhari did for a living, and of course, nothing tangible. If The U.S., after fighting against Britain asked George III to come back and be their president, then I'd say well, it happens everywhere, but of course they are mature, more than 9ja people who are use to military rule |
The change is back to military era despite clamor for democracy. OBJ and now GMB. Its a joke |
That picture tells it all. People didn't want change at all. They are use to being slaves and on-ing gen. These were military guys that misruled illegally, and today are praised. So what was the whole need for democracy if we recycle them one by one, two by two? DAYUM |
Ohaneze went on life support when a week before the election of 1999 they "ordered" Ndigbo to vote Falae against OBJ, when all the Igbo political contractors were already with PDP. Ohaneze finally died in 2003 when instead of endorsing a party they opted not to (because so many of their members were taking position in various parties) and ultimately endorsed OBJ and turned a blind eye to APGA being rigged out. So please, lets not even waste time on them |
Some folks already said what did the election rigger Ngige do as as Senator from Anambara lol!!! Rochas is just trying to promote the APC guys in the East. Onu, we all know is a coward and was used and dumped by ANPP and AD in those days. Ngige rigged the election of Anambra, from government house to state assembly, which already weakened opportunities for the eventual APGA led government to do major things, and Rochas himself, he also was sidetracked by APC, despite using all those Imo state funds to travel round the place making noise. People forget he got his deputy sacked over the decamping to APC thing. Instead of saying we need senators that will fight for their people and sponsor good laws he's being a typical 9ja politician |
Here's another uniqueness: Nigerians spent the majority of statehood under illegal military thugs who came and divided at will, the people, creating useless states, lopsided lgas, joined them in religious organizations without a vote, detained folks, embezzled funds, killed millions, and when the people finally got a glimpse of democracy...... Voted in the same morons because...... |
Curvinus:All this grammar, and at the end of the day, rather meaningless. Anyway I don't blame you guys. The PPA state chairman is, the PPA state chairman. That party was funded by one of the worse embezzlers of Africa (Orji Kalu) who told his people the poor state of roads in Abia were a result of people carrying heavy load. That's why PPA cannot win sh.it Even though the chairman wants the Ndigbo to "forget the past", Igbo and easterners have been "reminded" of it at the last election, thus all the outcry. Anyone forgetting his past is sure to repeat it, or worse, cannot know where they are going. The Fulani remember Dan Fodio, who gave them instructions to dip the koran in the sea, and that is still in place, despite all the bogus and useless talks here and there or "One Nigeria". Anyway, the US was faced with similar situation and united to kick out the Brits, so for the East, it's never too late to start out by kicking out useless leaders both locally and nationally |
Wscholar:So why not go to debate? Why not show your certificate? Why overthrow government? So why go to the US a week before election because of poor health and still contest? But the biggest question isn't even among those, because Sai Buhari folks have all given quack answers. It is, why fight for democracy against decades of military rule, but glamorize those guys and support them to rule again? Of all the candidates in the last election and during all the primaries, you guys said Sai Buhari, before then Baba OBJ, before then Youth Earnestly ask for Abacha, and on and on. This country is crazy |
Rochas lost the APC ticket to Buhari, and if I'm correct lost the ANPP ticket to the same Buhari over 8 years ago or so. He and Amaechi did a lot of projects alright, mediocre, because they were travel hoping everywhere instead of focusing on developing their state and regions. People of the state voted Okorocha because they supported APGA, but Rochas said it was a "mere" regional party. SO being a minority in a majority party instead of a majority in a minority party is the Igbo way I suppose, and that's why, the Easterners are nowhere. Instead of these men to be contesting as Presidential candidates of PDP/APC/etc, it is the same old Generals like OBJ and GMB that are coming to save us. Too bad for Nadeco and all the pro-democracy guys because the people you tried to fight for brought back the same villains because they saw them at mega crowds with Barobaas, saw them wear Igbo attire and Yoruba attire and suit and tie. Bull.shit |
Of course the French and Queen Eliza and all the rest will call and congratulate, even mourn when Abacha died. Na all eye service. They put this country together, gave us the name, told us what to speak, gave us military help to fight those trying to break away from their "corporate interest", supported the military rogues, said we needed democracy, and then supported us to recycle the former military men that we thought we Nadeco-ed away to be our Presido over again. Someone must be a fool And Blacks think they are something. Only entertainment people they are, OWAMBE |
You guys sabi copy yahoo. Because they talk am "Top 5 this and that", you guys wey no get light pass 10 hours go sidon type nonsense. Please can you go with the new "Change" in 9ja |
Here we go with the same mind control BS. He only has this, he only has that. Well his daughter (i guess you fools forgot because you are watching CNN) recently had to delete comments and pictures of her luxurious life. How so? |
chebeoc:With the exception of some grammatical issues (maybe the rush to post) I agree with you. The biggest losers are the southerners, but because Yorubas don't see themselves as that, it doesn't concern them, leaving the East (all those ss-se termed areas) expressing their disdain. But it has happened before and will happen again until the East finally decides to be serious. |
Is that why they didn't tell her to commot from there, with no pillow case for enh head? zingobaby:And please, as this "change" is happening, please leave god out of every single thing. Even Vatican no go gree give you visa |
kronors:So what ARRRRE you interested in? Being irrelevant in Nigeria? Being the punching bag all over the place? being called the aggressor and the bigot by those who are actually the ones doing it? Stop trying to gain popularity points because you won't get far. If you are against war that is fine, but stand for something that is not a joke like what has occurred last weekend and in our militarcracy |
cococandy:EXACTO |
Ipledge:But to some extent he's right, all in the name of "change" |
SLIDEwaxie:Actually it was. The guys that toppled the government in Jan 66' said it was because of Awolowo. Then shortly Ogundipe who should have stayed ran away to England, though no one pursued him. Then the same Awolowo joined Gowon rather than seek the true freedom of his god-given Oduduwa land before Lugard came through (a long story for another day) But truly, Napoleon ran away several times, John Mccain spilled the beans on US intelligence during captivity, Diya cried and begged Abacha for forgiveness, and today, nothin do am' |
Bifwoli:Exacto LOL, The UK folks, always doing the obvious propaganda so quickly. They blame GEJ for alienating "the boss" but later state that the "boss" was complicit in rigging of elections and how Jega was brought, but ultimately stabbed GEJ like Brutus did caesar lol That was good |
tunshe:You'd think that with all this new "change" people would stop bringing god into every conversation. Nigeria, yes, great people within its borders, but its only as big as the Berlin Conference and Lugards girlfriend (the owner of that name) said it would be. |
A "king with no crown" is not a king, but probably a pu.ssy Speaking about that, That seems like a guy who probably had an Igbo girlfriend breakup with him weeks ago and who's doctor says he isn't fit to go to work. Hope he's not flying any plane soon. JK.. |
Violence is not always the best solution, although at times it is the only one. Tempers should cool for now. But for those making stupid noise that the Nigerian army will do this and that, nah lie. Please they should still go and bring back our little girls. |
Why can't Zimbabwe learn from Israel, a country that doesn't joke with the security of their people, no matter who's leading. |
Oh finally, a thread that is not about Igbo vs Yoruba vs Hausa vs Asari Well, if Igbo want to redeem any dignity (especially those who feel defeated in the last election-whom yes, I see your pain), this is a great start. Get rid of criminals parading as your leaders i.e. Theodore Orji and co. Its too bad he's in senate where he needed to for immunity, but vote for a credible person and fight that your vote counts. Hopefully with Umeh losing in Anambra (can you imagine that man all this while eyeing that seat) there can be a new leadership in APGA. |
Now thats a bit going too far. Goodluck is not in any way, shape, or form comparable to Mandela, not even to Zik that he bears his name. I've heard same talk about Mandela and GMB, and you know that's how our people, devoid of substantial real leaders in their history behave, always making local pastors that can't articulate anything not borrowed from Trinity Broadcast Network private jet owners. |
