PoliticsRe: Subsidy Payment: Finance Ministry Sacks Akintola Williams & Other Auditors by merengue: 1:26pm On Apr 23, 2012
You people should read before making idiotic conclusions. Akintola Williams has been retired from the firm for over 20 years, his name was kept as a mark of respect. The firm is now 100% owned by Deloitte and Touche. I support that they should be sanctioned, same too should go for the oil marketing firms as well.
PoliticsRe: The Ibori Sentencing: Live Updates by merengue: 4:03pm On Apr 17, 2012
You people are really funny o, why are you blaming the Crown Prosecution? Our own justice system found the animal innocent and the British are helping us jail him, yet you are abusing them? I am unhappy he only got a 13 year sentence but I am joyful he got one at all. Every true Deltan is happy today and anyone that is not happy should go and organize MEND to bomb the prison, talking to animalistic morons like Yorke.
PoliticsRe: World Bank Officially Selects Kim As President-ngozi Okonjo-iweala Lost by merengue: 10:52pm On Apr 16, 2012
Are you guys for real? You actually thought NOI would win? Its an election year in the USA, if Obama had lost the World Bank, he would have kissed re-election goodbye. How much is the voting percentage held by Nigeria and those who supported NOI? How much do they contribute financially to the organization? The USA and Europe need the Bretton Woods institutions now more than ever so as to create jobs and boost their own economies and these institutions remain the best ways of achieving that. The BRIC nations are dictating to the world today yet none of their citizens have ever headed these two institutions. Lets copy them and stop screaming "tribalism" and "racism" like senseless goats.

A Nation Represented By Idiots: Nigerian House Of Reps Summon Hyundai Motors Over Faulty N4.1m Car Bought For Rep's Wife-Vanguard
By Favour Nnabugwu

House of Representatives has summoned a Korean Company, makers of Hyundai Motors Nigeria Ltd to appear before the National Assembly for investigative hearing over alleged defective Elegance Jeep sold to Hon Willie Ogbeide, honourable of the 4th assembly.

The house in a letter signed by the chairman, House Committee on Public Petition, Hon Uzo Azubuike invited the company and Ogbeide to appear before the House next week Thursday over the alleged defective jeep sold by the company to Hon Ogbeide.

Hon Azubuike states in the letter, “The House of Representatives at its sitting of Wednesday, 22nd February, 2012 received a petition from you against the managing director, Hyundai Motors Nig Ltd on alleged sale of defective Hyundai Jeep 1 x 35 Elegance GLS OL. To this effect you are invited to an investigative hearing on the matter” Speaking to Vanguard in Abuja Wednesday, Hon Ogbeide narrated that he bought a Hyundai jeep 1 x 35 Elegance GLS 2.0 litre for his wife who resides in Benin from the Korean company’s office at Airport Road, Abuja on October 27, 2011 at N4.1million, recounting that the jeep had within five weeks of purchase developed series of problems ranging from acceleration to air-condition.

According to him, “On October 27th October 2011 I purchased Hyundai jeep for my wife at a cost of N4.1million from Hyundai Motors Nigeria Ltd in Abuja. The car had barely worked for three weeks when it developed problem. It was sent back to the company which said it had repaired the fault and sent to us. About three days, the jeep broke-down in Sapele as my wife was using it to Warri.

The motor company was accordingly informed and it sent its mechanic who eventually took the car to their office in Abuja since it was obvious that the car had factory fault”. He elucidated, “The car had no Wheel spanner when it was delivered to me and that I first complained ,to them.

Then when l drove the car to Benin for my wife, I observed that it has acceleration problem, immediately l called Hyundai office to complain to them, they promised to rectify it since it was still under warranty and before we could solve that, the air-condition had problem for which l also called their office through my lawyer and in less than five weeks”.

“When l got tired of their dripping, I requested that they refund my money to me within seven days. They did not and have not responded and l wrote to House of Reps to save me and other Nigerians from the Korean company” Speaking to Vanguard, the administrative Manager of Hyundai, Mr Ichonye John and the Workshop Manager of the company, Mr Haari Sriohar who attended to Vanguard, both admitted that the jeep was bought from the company but would not comment on the matter as they have replied the House of Representatives upon receiving the summon from the House. “We don’t have anything to say on this.

We have received a letter and we have responded to it. We received instruction from our Lagos office on what to do and that has been done so we cannot say anything further on the issue”.

PoliticsRe: CNN Praises Nigeria As Ngozi Makes Us Proud by merengue: 10:51am On Mar 23, 2012
@Abagworo: You are joking right? what economic development are you talking about exactly? As for NOI,if she gets it good for her but it will bring nothing to Africa. The West make over 70% of the contributions to the Bretton Woods Institutions, you think they will allow her to use their money to fund aid in 3rd world countries? the anointed American candidate will get it or whoever is chosen by the BRICs 'cos they contribute more and carry more influence. The West is in recession and needs Africa as a dumping ground more than ever, she will be a perfect candidate for that kind of hatchet job. Africans went mad celebrating Obama's election, four years on, he has done less than nothing for the nation.
PoliticsRe: Has Tribalism On Nairaland Affected You Negatively? by merengue: 8:25pm On Mar 21, 2012
But you people are so stupid sha, politicians (O'dua, Biafra, Arewa, Niger Delta) are busy sharing money without recourse to tribe yet una wan kill una selves. Anybody who says the garbage being said on NL affects how he views people from other tribes should do the world a favour and commit suicide, his species died out with the dinosaurs.

PoliticsRe: Port-Harcourt, Awka, Enugu, Or Owerri? (Relocating To East) by merengue: 7:54pm On Mar 18, 2012
@Poster: Owerri is only to be visited and not lived in. Its a dead town business wise and only has nightlife, hotels and chicks (They are over plenty). I will advise you to choose Enugu, unlike most other major cities, its driven by a mixture of government (like 70%) and private investments (like 30%). Its quiet (a bit too much depending on where you are coming from), serene, clean, not too rowdy and has modern amenities. PHC is a no no (Its a very poor imitation of Lasgidi).

3. Chelsea WILL not win the UCL.

Dont blame Abati the Donkey o, you know for all his years in journalism he never wore fitted suits until he became Jona's PA. Haba!! Una want the guy to go back to 'hustling' again? On a more serious note, the statement is moronic and idiotic to say the least, every Nigerian has the right to call the president any name they like. Better leaders than him (Obama, Merkel, Rawlings, Mbeki and co) have been called names. He should stop whining like a deflowered pansy, grow some balls and actually behave like a president with brains.

@papatosibe: Ewure (goat) is your first name, Adiye Irana (sacrificial fowl) is your surname. Both are intelligent, capable women who have missed their way and allowed politicians to use them as guniea pigs for their crimes but at least Dora tried to retrace her steps unlike Ngozi so for that reason, I would go with Dora

BusinessRe: Access Bank's Poor Customer Service: Bad Management? by merengue: 8:57pm On Mar 13, 2012
Truth of the matter is Access Bank never had the wherewithal to absorb a bigger bank like Intercontinental. If as you Access Bank sympathizers say its due to initial integration problems, how come the Ecobank/Oceanic merger is going smoothly or are they not Nigerian banks? Lets face facts, there's more to that merger that meets the eye. There is no argument (Logical, economic or otherwise) that supports such. As for me, I have closed all my accounts in that bank completely, don't be surprised if in a few years' time, it goes the way of Societe Generale or Savannah.

I hope all you political party sympathizers (PDP, ACN, APGA, CPC) and tribal buffoons (Biafra, O'dua, Arewa, Ijaw and co) can see who your real enemies are. I have said it before and I will say it again; If Nigeria likes, let it divide into 100 countries, the evils will still follow us to those new countries.

European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Is Christiano Ronaldo Better Than Lionel Messi? by merengue: 9:24pm On Mar 08, 2012
@elampiro: You are a disgrace to yourself!!! I am a true Merengue but LM10 owns CR7 lock, stock and barrel. Maldini, Giggs, Gerrard, Zanetti, Totti, Casillas, Raul (until he was forced out), Scholes all played for one team all their lives so what nonsense are you vomiting? For you to ridicule class acts like Ozil, Higuain, Benzema, Di Maria, Kaka, Alonso and co shows how little you know. Against the biggest teams in the world (R.Madrid, Man U, Arsenal, Ac Milan, Bayern Munich) Messi always delivers. What has Ronaldo done for his country; Figo, Rui Costa, Nuno Gomes and co carried Portugal to the Euro 2004 final, not CR7. He was anonymous at S/A 2010, when Portugal entered the 2006 W/C semi-final, Luis Figo and not CR7 carried that team. They qualified for Euro 2012 via play-offs. That senile old man: Pele is always trying to down grade Messi b'cos he knows the boy is out of this world. Over sabi Wenger called him the best, Rooney (CR7's former team mate) also says the same so who u be?
PoliticsRe: Why Are Nigerians Both Home And Abroad So Unpatriotic by merengue: 5:58pm On Mar 08, 2012
Patriotism doesn't mean turning a blind eye to wrongs and applauding stupidity. So because Nigeria performed Voltron for S/A who realized they had investments that they can't afford to jeopardize and apologized, all of you are now shouting patriotism? How many of you got angry when T.A Orji removed non-Abians from the civil service and Fashola did the same to non-Lagosians or isn't it the same with what the S/A peeps did?
PoliticsRe: We Won’t Apologise To Nigeria, Says S-africa by merengue: 2:12pm On Mar 08, 2012
LWKMD!!!! Make una see patriotism: The same people who have Pakistani carpenters as expatriates yet they say nothing. The same people in whose country Chinese people pay graduates 12k, yet they see nothing wrong. The same people whose leadership collected a scrap ship from the U.S.A and did presidential commissioning. Okay now S/A has apologized, Ndoma Egba's ego has been sated, we have shown that we are Voltron with our 'come and fight" diplomacy, its back to recharging your MTN lines, banking with STANBIC IBTC, going back to shopping at Shoprite and renewal of DSTV subscriptions. Abeg when will the Senate talk about the harassment of Nigerians in Libya, the Nigerians being beheaded in Asia for real or imagined crimes and the fact that Nigerian businesses in Ghana pay more as tax than other foreign companies? NIGERIA WE HAIL THEE!!!
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Is Christiano Ronaldo Better Than Lionel Messi? by merengue: 1:50pm On Mar 08, 2012
You people should leave King Leo alone, he has not proclaimed himself to be the greatest ever so why are u taking Panadol for another man's headache? I am a die hard Madridrista but lets be honest, LM10 is way better than CR7. The washed up argument that he has not won the World Cup is idiotic, what have CR7,RVP, Rooney and co. done at national team level? You keep saying without Xavi and Iniesta, he would not win anytin. W/out Ronaldo, Rivaldo and co, Ronaldinho would never have won the WC. Without Vieira, Deschamps, Petit, Thuram and co, Zidane would never have won the WC. Aguero, Higuain, Di Maria and co should also step up.
PoliticsRe: We Won’t Apologise To Nigeria, Says S-africa by merengue: 10:05am On Mar 08, 2012
@dmainboss: There is a clearance sale on intelligence going on at Shoprite, please avail yourself of the opportunity to get some badly needed brain matter. So the politicians who steal billions and take them to S/A are loyal Nigerians? The musicians who spend lots of money to shoot videos in S/A are loyal abi?The people selling the Vaccination card at the airport for 2k are great Nigerians right? if S/A is so bad, what were you doing there? U.S.A made Japan ans S.Korea, today Japanese and S.Korean products dominate the American market.
