Nnamdi Kanu & that apostle have said worst. |
Let's see how long before it packs up. By Nigeria's poor maintenance culture, it won't be long. |
Read Shakespeare's "Taming of The Shrew." Might help. |

This is Toxic epidermal necrolysis (TEN) aka Lyell syndrome , the rarer, deadlier extreme manifestation of Stevens-Johnson's syndrome (SJS). She's lucky she's treated in London, otherwise sepsis would've done her for were she treated in a Nigerian public hospital. I pray she pulls through. |
Deluded, paranoid fool. Worst is some people would believe him. |
chimexview:Hi chimexview, congrats for receiving your package. I'm also expecting a package starting with the L tracking number. Please how long did it take you to receive yours from the day it was shipped? Did you go to the post office to get it? Im worried since mine has passed the expected day of delivery. Thanks. |
Dear all, I am also expecting a package I bought from eBay which has been shipped since Sept. 17. Even though estimated delivery time is Oct. 6, I had expected by now it should be showing on the NIPOST tracking site. However, nothing turns up when I search for it. The tracking number is LK190043526US, which is USPS Priority Mail International Flat Rate Envelope. Unfortunately, it was after ordering that I get to know that packages starting with LK tracking no. can be stolen by NIPOST staff. I'm hoping beyond hope it gets delivered because it cost me about $135. Please, has anyone recently received their package starting with this no.? I'm quite "depressed" now after reading all these. Any encouragement out there? If anyone has any experience with this I will be very grateful if they can share. Thanks very much. |
That's a Fulani attire, not Hausa . Common misconception. SMH. |
The rainy season isn't wholly responsible for the dramatic improvement. Were there not rainy seasons in the previous government? |
She was my senior back in secondary school and the head girl of their set. By the way, what does the report imply by Hausa actress? Yes, she's fluent in Hausa and probably features in Hausa movies. But she's not a Hausa actress in the strict sense of the words. I believe that is reserved for ethnic Hausas that act Hausa films. |
Don't politicize this please. It's a sign of respect. A common tradition in the North. |
Hi all, I'm in Lagos briefly for a programme. Supposedly, this is the final stop for anything tech in Nigeria. I am aware of Computer Village, but could anyone recommend the best shop to purchase an ultrabook at a REASONABLE/AFFORDABLE price? (Even if it's located in the Village). I barely know my way around Lagos that's why I would appreciate a specific place(s) to go to. I'm interested in buying either the latest Dell XPS 13" or Asus Zenbook UX305. Thanks and I will appreciate any help. |
"He shoots!" "Interception! " "Long ball" "Corner kick" Were some of the commentators popular words. Ahhh, good ol' memories. All of a sudden I'm a kid all over again. ![]() |

erico2k2: Buy from where you are and ship home, you get that added benefit of doing full service, change your tyres and all parts that needs changing before you ship the car.Thank you. That's encouraging enough. I will do all that you suggested. However, do you still think it's worth the 2.2mil? ![]() |
Hi guys, I'm about rounding up my studies in Hungary and would like to get a car from here to drive in Nigeria when I get back. I recently heard about the increase in customs clearance charges and this has really devastated me. I intend to buy a 2008 Ford Focus, as my first car, to use in Nigeria. The car is almost new costing about 1.2million Naira. Now, I'm told clearing such a car would cost up to 687 000 Naira. After factoring shipping into everything, I'm looking at spending up to about 2.2million Naira for the car. Do you think it's worth it all? Or with around 2million I would have better options in Cotonou when I come back to Nigeria? I've lived in Hungary (and visited a handful of other European countries) for 5 years now and I have clearly seen how their cars are different than the ones in I see that ultimately make it to Nigeria. I would really appreciate any expert or friendly advice. I'm really confused now since the person who's going to sell it to me has already given me a week's deadline. Thank you and God bless. |

WTF? are each of them the same person in both pics? |
@TCD, Thank you for taking interest in my question. For my 7 weeks rotation in internal medicine, for example, by my school's criteria, I'm supposed to observe or preferably actively participate in the following: Urinary bladder catheterisation (both male & female), intercoastal drainage, internal jugular vein canulation (and/or venous cut-down technique), joint aspiration, lumbar puncture, radical artery canulation, sampling for arterial blood gas, simple aspiration and lot of BP readings. I have observed (and performed some of these procedures), but practice as they say makes perfect. This is the exact idea why my school recommends doing these more in my home country. So these were the "pre-defined" procedures. For other rotations (surgery, obs. & gynecology etc) I'll do them here. I am told that if I went to a teaching hospital, I won't have the opportunity as a medical student to perform some of these procedures because others would also wanna scramble to do them. So this is why I am asking which institution apart from teaching hospitals I can do these. My hometown is in Kaduna so I can easily go to ABU teaching hospital for these, but from what I heard they may not likely allow me to do some of them (of course no one will be crazy enough to allow me do a spinal tap. LOL) Thank you and hopefully you'll reply soon. |
@drdan1, Unfortunately, US is out of bounds for you. Next is the UK which is very, very expensive. With your financial limitation, your best bet is to go to Ukraine or Romania. However, if I were you and I were very bent on studying medicine then I'll choose Romania just because it's part of the EU. I must point out though that being able to pay the tuition fee is just a minor part of the big picture. By the time you factor in cost of living and other costs, the total amount you'll spend a year will be more than $15,000. Good luck. |
Hello guys, I am a Nigerian studying medicine outside Nigeria. I plan to do some of my 6th year rotations back home. However, I am not sure of what type of institution to go for it. I am mostly interested in honing my clinical skills than theoretical knowledge (this, I'm fairly comfortably with). My school recommends a teaching hospital, but I'm free to choose where to do it as long as I have performed a set of pre-defined procedures. Where would you guys recommend I go for my practice? Any help would be highly appreciated. Thanks. |
