odizeey:I was really thinking he would pull him off just before the end extra time but no... |
weedtaker:I was thinking Ole was gonna change him since he had options..wow |
nitrogen:We can not win league one not to talk of EPL... we are like Nigeria and I have mentioned it before I decided to take a break from the this forum. We know what to do, we just not willing to do it as a football club. Anyway, I know your unceasing stance and I understand your sarcasm. |
nitrogen:Which EPL, bru? |
Our clueless manager played for a draw last night and we definitely got what we deserved from that match. Just imagine MOU setting up the team that way.... |
I do not know how a supposed legend of this club will keep managing this team with these poor performances and still be proud to be called the manager of the team. |
The rate at which pro Ole-in and the “real fans” are “backsliding” is shocking. Why did it take you so long guys? Anyways, it is better late than never |
I do not know how things work that side but please go for testing if you have the means or call the relevant authorities to put you through. |
enshi:Please relax. My woman who I stay in the same bed had Corvid In July and she was in ICU for a month. She couldn’t breathe at all and we had to call the ambulance who advised her to go into the bathroom, open the hot water tap in the bathtub and add some Vicks menthol into the water so as to engage the lungs till they arrive. Even after a month when she was discharged she struggled to breathe for a while. We invested in personal humidifier. She actually coded twice in ICU but miraculously came out of it. I was not feeling anything apart from that feeling of sometimes wanting to clear my throat. A nurse friend advised me to buy Vitamin C supplement that has Zinc and Selenium and I was also having ginger + garlic tea morning and night. Also I was steaming with Aboniki. I went for testing just before she was discharged and I was negative though it was not a comfortable test. PLEASE DO NOT LISTEN TO THOSE THAT SAYS IT IS MALARIA. That’s just ignorance. Shortly after my woman was discharged for home care, her father contacted it even though we stay in a different province. We are actually 3hours apart. He has been in ICU since then for about three months now. He also didn’t believe in Corona. He passed on late last night, around 22:30 Nigerian time. With an underlying illness, it sometimes if not most times get worse. To think he was said to be getting better and looking strong in the morning to passing on about 8hours later. Please be careful. You are at the mercy of other people, especially those ignorant once. |
96forever:He is quite good but not for the amount quoted |
Lesson learnt - we must stop thinking we can bully all teams. Teams are getting even stronger and they don’t have to sell. I’m glad we did not buy Sancho though. |
elrony:You might be right but I think it’s still the structure that he is playing in. He is not even trusting his teammates hence he tries to play out both his teammates and the ball at the same time. He seems to me like someone who is trying to do too much hence the mistakes. He will see Lindelof or Someone else trying to clear a ball or defend a spot and he will rush there to go do the same. His positioning is also a problem. That is a defective way of structuring a team. We were all happy that smalling was sold yet he did well at Roma... Lukaku has also been doing well. I’m not saying I regret the fact that we sold them but I’m saying that some of our players that seem to be useless will definitely do well in well structured teams |
KingAlabi:Jokes apart, did you see how those guys have been playing. It might still be early days but they play top teams the same way they play lower rated teams. The only thing they do is to tweak certain areas a little. What that tells me is that their manager trust in his players and of course trust in his own competence. Not sure about ours. |
Nezzjnr:Yea it seems he’s copying teams. Sometimes it’s like Liverpool/ City tactics, sometimes it’s just MOU’s. He himself doesn’t seem to have an identity. But something to ponder on- how come players fare better when they leave us for other teams. I am of the belief that some of these players currently playing rubbish will do better in a well-structured, well-drilled team, including the “fridge” These are on the manager to a large extent and the board to a little extent. |
Nezzjnr:I do not think the team plays pure counter attack. Our play seems to me like an imitation. You know when you try to imitate the way some other teams play but you do not really understand how to implement it effectively or you do not have what it takes to implement it correctly. The consequence of this is confusion all over the place. |
larride:I can assure you that OLE will revert to his Cardiff formation. He will park the bus and play counter attack. We all blamed MOU for that same thing but OLE is allowed to play that way because he has DNA |
OLE has been a fraud right from time. It took some of Usa little bit of time to find out but we eventually did. THE TEAM LACKS EVERY TACTICAL INPUT NEEDED OF A TEAM. |
nitrogen:I hope they don’t. We were so bad from the beginning of the match and exactly how we normally play anyway. IT IS IN OUR DNA |
Shame man, we are still not match fit. We need more games to get there and I’m sure OLE will turn it around soon. Sincerely Real Fan |
nitrogen:We talk about it every time right? We play like pregnant women in the midfield and backine |
nitrogen: . He knows them now, abi. .Some of us are even called "fake fans" for being critical of what we observe.... Well, like you said, what do I know? |
larride:You have time bro... u really have time. |
patrickmuf:You nailed it bru. I noticed some of those last night and well. I just feel alot of people have lowered expectations as regards how we should play. We have been so conditioned to celebrate certain successes that we used to see as normal. Even OLE is aware of all these cos he has said it a few times. We have become Manchester United with expectations in the level of Cardiff. I actually appreciated the fact that we qualified for Champions League but if you analyze the way the team is set up... the way they play...the substitutions...the tactical inputs and displays... are we different from the lower placed teams? Are we even different from Super Eagles? |
I see some people think we are criticizing OLE based on the two matches. Well, that is not true. Most people have been sitting on the fence for a long time and they are starting to see the reality or should I say that they will eventually admit their fears and reservations. Please do not remind me that we made top three...I already know and I also know we were not great. We made top three because of how poor other teams were. I looked at the way we played towards the end of last season and I was not surprised. That has been the norm under OLE and trust me, its gonna be same this season. A good manager can not be a bad one overnight, likewise a "not-so-good-enough" manager can not be adequate overnight. Football has changed so much. There were times we were not so far away from teams like Barcelona, Real Madrid, Bayern M. but now we are so far below them and you know what is painful, the gap is increasing every season. I dont think anyone is saying OLE is a bad manager entirely but we have seen seen his antecedents and we know that he is not what we want to take us back to where we belong. My fear is that we dont want to go the Liverpool way- I mean the 30years of wait. One thing you can take to the bank is that we going to have that famous 10-match winning spree but we are also going to have many of those frustrating matches which might be worse towards the end of the season. Is this what we want? Is that going to be enough, especially for Manchester united? This is DEFINITELY beyond players not having enough rest .. it is DEFINITELY beyond the team not having an adequate preseason. It is beyond those! |
Expert17:With the way we play, he would do better further up the pitch than where he is playing currently. My opinion though |
eph12:I dont think Pogba is loving his role in this team. I believe he wants to play further up the pitch |
adebayo201:And they are young... I would understand if they were all around Matic's age |
My concern is that our play is very slow and to think we are supposed to be having fast players... |
I'm so enjoying the game. Perfect game plan... world-class players. We are doing absolutely well. With the way we have been playing, it is obvious we are going to achieve top 4. ![]() |
I go with Larride, Nitrogen and Patrick on this issue. I think it is so obvious that OLE isnt the man for the job and some of our fans here are similar to the so called legends who would never be objective in their appraisals. Since OLE came on board, our lots have been the same. String of many poor plays followed by a few times when we do better. In my opinion, the corvid break played out as an advantage to some teams while it didnt favour most teams hence I keep saying that we got to 3rd position not cos we were that great but because other teams like Leicester city went totally flat. We were having a new player who was ready to prove a point. By the time we went back to our normal play under OLE (during the times when struggled), it was too late for other teams. I have also observed that most people here only want OLE here because they dont want us to be seen as a team that keeps changing managers. To some, it is about the fear and uncertainty of going with a new manager. I asked the last time that if MOU has an ultra defensive game plan, what is OLE's game plan. He keeps talking about the United DNA, but are you honestly seeing that in the way we play. How can u serve me drab football in 25 games and better play in 13 games, then he gets judged based solely on the 13games. The other 25 bad games where we lost or struggled to win or draw are judged on the fact that we dont have good players. BTW, I'm not sold on the Sancho transfer. I really do not see him as a game changer. Lastly, maybe we should always remember that this is Manchester United and not Super Eagles! |
On a serious note now. Now that OGS has been around for a while, may I please ask what our pattern of play is. He keeps talking of playing the Manchester United way but I do not see that. Maybe I need my glasses |
We ended last season exactly the same way we are playing now. I'm not surprised though. Lemme say the truth again. We qualified for Champions League, not cos we were that good, but cos other teams were particularly worse for the last 10games or so. I'm not convinced |
