There is no indication of this refusal on any of my credentials. MY QUESTION IS DO I INDICATE THIS VISA DENIAL ON MY US VISA APP OR NOT?
Please do advise You do not have to indicate the denial. Nwanne, you were denied canada based on insufficient fund, why don't you work on the funds and reapply. Canada dey sweet pass yankee oh, lol. Nothing like STEM. Even if u study drumming you go still get permit. The 3 years work permit and International student fast route to pr make sense die oh. Think am. |

Example, my company which is a fortune 200 ask engineering interns to submit there application a year before. So u can start looking now, submit applications, look for companies coming to ur school to recruit and makes use of LinkedIn. Hi Bussy, Do you work for Siemens? |

My advice,we have 24hrs in a day,if u can dedicate 6hrs a day for GMAT morning, afternoon and midnight, you will do pretty fine. Also search for online GMAT prep websites that'll help too. Goodluck. Cuz I dont want to go far from the airport then miss my flight... Check www.trivago.com. In the search menu put in JFK. On the right hand side you can adjust the price to the amount you are comfortable paying (you can see as low as $46). It also shows you the distance to the airport. Have fun. DeeTus: You're so angry. Please don't be. Life is a mixture of failure and success. My aunty who studied in the UK has nothing to show for it except her documents and English. She had to bundle in my grandmom to the UK to off-set her bills. Now she wants to leave the UK to the United States for PhD. I'm really sorry to say this. But the UK is over-rated. Yours might be different though.
But then if you really want to know how bumpy a road is, ask those coming back. Some people on Nairaland left United Kingdom to US. Hmm, I am so sorry that your aunty has nothing to show for the years spent in England. However, I would advise that we leave the dude to go where ever he likes. Life is all about destiny, no matter where you put head. My own single mama wey finish from one school for east, e be like say na ESUT with BSC in i no even know the mediocre course, no be she pay international student tuition for 5 children? I know a lot of engineers in Canada that are yet to find job after 2 years of graduation and they are currently doing factory job. Some people have graduated and due to the inability to find job they had to relocate back to naija. I have another friend that finished from John Hopkins Univ, JHU na Ivey League abi? After the program, she had to move back to naija because thats where she got a gig. Well, i don't know how people manage in yankee with the one yr OPT and the fact that you have 3 months to get a gig. I know that it takes at least 6 months for a graduate to get a career gig. Well, I guess this forces a lot of people i yankee to marry oyinbo for paper. That been said, we truly are in no capacity to advise people on their life choices. No disrespect to anyone |

gunther6: I actually wanted to reply the guy I saw his handle and I decided it was not worth it. Everyone gained from this house one way or the other. Without this house many would have coughed up hundreds of thousands to self serving agents and still end up denied.
I personally do not need bobbycashville 's transcript I did well without it but I have found out it is better you do not post than post stunted ones that add to the general confusion of the applicants.
I know members of this house that have never stepped foot in the consulate but have been there a thousand time in the inner recesses of their mind by reading through peoples transcript, in my experience it makes it easier than just blundering your way through.
So pls if anyone must do it at all let us do it well, let us do away with antagonistic / anti group sentiments that is the bane of Nigerian overseas community. Good Morning Mr. Gunthers6, Hope you having a nice day. I hardly comment on matters that do not concern me. Lets cut the dude in question some slack. Some people's interview might be short (Like my wife's) while others might have a relatively long interview. Please, lets stop tackling people with short interviews. For me, I do not like reading fluff e.g. How I enter bus from cele, tyre come burst, How them dey deny people wey dey my queue, I come change lane, come run go toilet make the VO no for interview me, come dey for toilet dey pray for God to intervene. USA interviews are pretty straight forward and I feel the transcripts should be concise. I mean no disrespect to you or anyone on this platform. Your transcripts really helped me. Thanks guys. |

DareFadi: Most information can easily be found through a google search
Post-Completion OPT: May apply up to 90 days before or within 60 days after program completion date. Expect 2-3 months of processing before you can use your OPT after completion of degree program.
OPT application must be received by USCIS within 30 days of the OPT I-20 issuance date. If not received within 30 days, OPT will be denied and appeal is not possible.
OPT begin date must be with in the 60 days following program completion date
HOW MANY DAYS DO I HAVE TO FIND A JOB?
Students on post-completion OPT are allowed only 90 days total of unemployment during their OPT period.
WHAT IF I DON’T GET A JOB WITHIN THE ALLOTTED TIME?
After 90 days of unemployment the student can be considered in violation of maintaining their status unless s/he:
1. Transfers to continue education at the same or another educational institution
2. Departs the US, or
3. Changes visa status
CAN I EXTEND MY OPT?
Only Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) majors have an option for a 24-month extension of OPT (new rule in effect May 10, 2016). A minor in a STEM field does not make you eligible for STEM extension. If you are not a STEM student, then a maximum 12 months of full-time OPT per degree is allowed. Na wah, America harsh oh. How many students find good job within 3 months? I mean good career kind of job and not call centre gig. |

asfalol: PLEASE, between MSc Finance and MBA Finance at University of Saskatchewan, which one is easier to get admission and does not require GMAT? Greeting Big Brother, Lets try to change the mentality of: which one is easier and adopt the mentality of constantly craving challenges. I did an MBA in Finance in Toronto, Class of 2010/2011. From an MBA Alumni, I would advise that you go for MBA Finance. In Canada, companies respect MBA more than MSC. However, its boils down to your career aspiration. If you have a dream of getting a PHD then I would say go for MSC. If you are money hungry like I was I would advise you to go for an MBA. Also, I would advise against attending an MBA program that does not require GMAT (e.g. Vancouver Island University). All they want is your money. That's why a lot of Nigerians dey rush there. Little or no job prospect for their grads, weak alumni network, little or no internship opportunity Stay Blessed |

My dad's a legal practitioner too.
Abeg make una review my profile. Will appreciate your candour. Good day Yemdogg, hope this message meets you well. How many years of HR experience do you have? How would a PGC in HR advance your career? I have read your profile and it smells Law, law, law, law. Why didn't you consider and LLM? An LLM might be an easy sell to scale through the visa process. If you have over 3 years HR experience, you are considered a professional. That been said, why didn't you consider a Masters in Human Resource Management. Well, I mean no disrespect, I am only critically analyzing your case. Getting a visa is not by how fat an account is, the VO's has to see that what you are going for will add value e.g. From LLB to Call to Bar to LLM. Well, the deed is done. Submit your application and God will see you through, ijn. My dear, please oh I am by no means a devil oh make u no take offence in my statement, biko A lot of students are been denied on the basis of course mismatch but what VO will tell you is ties to home country but when you order GCMS note you will see the main reason. I know a lot will tell me that na God dey work things, I totally understand and agree. However, preparing a cogent application also goes a long way. God bless you as you submit and I cannot wait for your testimony. Stay Blessed |
