Yippie....Mummy is back....oh sorry baby is back.Just got my statement of result from school jare...ERM,on my way to school last week,I saw those silly custom officers seizing goods along Iyana Iba road o,Lasu main gate.You needed to see the way rice worth thousands of naira was littered around.Na so I vex carry one o but the officers asked me to drop it but I no gree,since ts national cake ,I felt I was entitled to it too o.That was how they carried me to Cotonou o.From Cotonou to port novo.Was just missing u all,wishing u all were around to fight for me....
Those people winked o,dey couldn't even gimme tfare back home.but I dey suspect say na knacker set me up o.

Forget about school awards

More importantly, what position are they considering you for, unless managerial, forget about the leadership experiences you have.

Your c.v should show that you have the necessary skill set for the job you are being considered for

OK. putting myself in your position, this is what I will do:

include the position held in school and awards attained.

then I will also include my experience as a sales rep in the juice manufacturing company.

what has the juice manufacturing company got to do with an oil company you may ask...

Answer : most companies don't like the idea of hiring staffs with 'no' exprience... at least they will be sure that you are not experimenting with 'their company '. if you understand what I mean.

my opinion though...

stating ur accolades in ur CV is not bad if it is related to the prospective position. if is not, then ignore it. Assuming u stated the position u are applying for, we would have concluded on its relevance but since d position is not stated u can only get a general perspective which may perfectly fit into ur scenario or be on d contrary.

mandibeauty:
we have related and unrelated work experience.. I don't think political/academic experience are worth occupying space on ur resume simply bc dey are unrelated... Other experiences dat u pointed out can serve as related experience.. N/B The experience must nt fit wit the coy in question but ur experience will become an added advantage to d organisation. Am nt really a good teacher but hope u understand.

U can include the awards U've received
Bt since ur previous jobs aren't related to d one U're aspiring for, I don't think adding the experiences gained is necessary.......
