@proudmum. Not feeling any movement o. Just dull menstrual like pains that come and go. Last scan was at12wks but I'm due for one this week.

To the best of my understanding, the dull menstrual pain is a sign that your uterus is expanding. I had it too and now i'm 24 wks gone. It's normal.

I took paludrine when I was about 7weeks. I was told it wasn't safe for me to take malaria drugs at that time and even though I had malaria, I took d paludrine 1 a day (wh is for prevention sha). It took me till about 15/16 weeks when I treated it fully. Get well soon

Mamas o. Please I'm having serious ear pains (inside) while d outer part is swollen. From what v been able to gather on google, its common during pregnancy. My hospital next visit is next week n waiting on queue to see a doctor before then is not something I wanna do just now. Please has anybody experience same? What eardrop was recommended? Thanks in advance.

I started taking pregnacare Max since my sickness has refused to let me eat,but i noticed that ever since i started taking the vitamins (Pregnacare Max) my sickness has returned in full force again. I am not vomiting though but nauseous and extremely bitter taste in my month. I have been feeling like crying since morning because seriously i thought i'd be done with this whole episode Please can i stop this vitamin and continue my boots folic acid one tablet daily plsssssss i need help

sorry you're feeling that way. Since u are having a bitter taste in your mouth, I'll suggest you see ur Doctor to rule out malaria.

I first saw him in 2009, hated him on sight because according to me, he was too arrogant, too nicely dressed, impeccable manners even his laugh was gentlemanly. To me he was forming and to crown it all, he ignored me. I use to see him everyday because they were pitching in our office untill their office was completed in 2010 and they moved.

Out of no where, he sent me a friend request on facebook, i ignored it for months (i was like, why would you ignore me then choses to be my friend on facebook?). Out of curiosity, i accepted the friend request and we started chatting, nothing serious, just once in a while chatting. Fast forward to 2011, i left for NYSC. He kept on disturbing to come over and visit me and i was like shoor, na like that dem dey visit? i kept on posting him until i got angry and snapped at him ( i was so disturbed in my mind after i snapped at him because he was always so cordial and nice) and he stopped calling.

I passed out of service, i had broken up with my then boyfriend of 2 years so i was free to mingle though i wasn't really looking forward to it. I came back to my State and resumed work. One day i was jejely sitting on my seat when this guy i snapped came in, well dressed as usual and gave me a dazzling smile and told me he heard i was back and came to greet me. O'boy see guilt! i apologised for snapping at him and told him i will seat out with him to show i was really sorry. Na so we went out o and surprisingly i enjoyed myself. After that i forgot about him until he showed his face again and asked that we go to a club, club ke? i didn't think i was gonna go but surprisingly i went, i didn't dance, he didn't either, we left at around 3am. Got back to his place, i slept in my complete outfit, he was just laughing then slept off and was even snoring while i couldn't sleep.

After work the next week we sat out again for few hours untill he told me he had to go make soup, i thought he was lying (how can he cook when i didn't think he was single?). Out of curiosity i followed him to his house, he made fresh fish soup all by himself ( woah i was impressed) after every every na so we gist o.....hmmmm..... make i no lie, we did the do!!! i was so ashamed of myself, after all my shagara I was thinking of how to face him again....

Fast forward to 10months later, we were married and we're expecting our first child.... I knew he was the one because he turned out different and was very real and matured

I'm speechless lioha at ur loss. We can only imagine how you feel. Please be consoled and stay strong. Do not give up and don't wallow in self pity. God sure knows best and He will replenish you for the years the locust had eaten and your heart will be filled with joy.

@lala4sure, you can take obron-6. That's what I'm taking since it contains all the vitamins needed by a pregnant woman.

Deep yellow urine is a sign of dehydration,treating u for malaria witout test in preg is nt gud enuf, increased fluif intake Wld hv helped in clearing it out. Pls wat r the symptoms that made u go for the test cos all Nigerians hv traces of malaria parasite in their blood..

I didn't really feel anything until yesterday morning when I woke up with mild headache and fever.

I was treated for malaria (Dr.'s prescription) like 7 weeks ago. When i went for ANC, i complained of yellowish (deep yellow) urine and the Dr. prescribed artesunate (without test). Though the urine is no more yellowish as it used to be, i decided to carry out a test just to be cleared about it. Taking the test result to him is not really a problem, it's the fear of the antibiotics my sister. All is well i believe.

Please mamas in the house, I'm in a dilemma. I did malaria/typhoid test yesterday because of the way i was feeling and it shows that i have both. I am so scared of taking antibiotics for typhoid. I am 20 weeks gone and will really like to know if anyone had to treat such and also is there any alternative to treating the typhoid? Awaiting your responses. Thanks a lot.

Hello all! Wow dis thread is so amazing! Am a first time mum too @20weeks... And I can say with authority that its not been easy! The first trimester was weird no morning sickness ThankGod for that! But that tiredness and constant queasiness can do ones head in. Am just happy I have made it thus far cus I had a mc in June.. But all that is history now. I even feel my baby move these days.. Have a doc's app today ... Blood test. And all d testables plus 2nd tri scan. That am particularly tickled about! All in all I am happy I am here today! #team may. Any may mama's in d house I so want a pregnancy buddy!

I'm good and i'm feeling fluttery movements and if i place my hand on my lower tummy while lying down i also feel the heartbeats. God is your strength my dear.

Please i went to the hospital again today and was given fralomin for malaria (everyday headache and evening fever). I've been googling the drugs and haven't seen their paper (indications and contra-indications). I just want to share with you guys if someone has taken it before please. I'm 14 weeks and 2 days.

Hello mamas, please what should i do about this headaches? Initially o use to have them when i get home from work and if i rest at once without stressing myself, it'll go away but now that i'm having them at day, its not easy for me. Please help with remedies. I'm 12 weeks gone

All this mamas talking about kpekus, na woah o. I've not had the urge since i got pregnant, i dey pity my husband sef. The thing dey irritate me. i dey try (because of hubby o) to give am at least once a week and even at that na for night so that him no go see my face (because if he does sees my face, he'll know its irritating to me) and that aint good! anyway, i pray it changes as i dey hear say e dey help for pushing.
