Thanks @ RashMe n bossladymo1. I'll continue with the black native soap. I pray it works. |
Good morning mamas. Please sorry to digress, its six weeks now since I put to bed yet the dark coloration on my neck and the dark spots from the pimples I had while pregnant is yet to fade. I have used black native soap, longrich soap n coconut oil yet no improvement. Please any suggestions will be highly appreciated. Thanks. |
@MiracleMum, thanks. Will search for it on konga. |

@MiracleMum, please what type of tummy trimmer did you use? Is it the post partum belt or waist cincher and did you wear it all day? I had my baby 5 weeks ago (vaginal birth), though my stomach has gone down, its not as flat as I want it to be. Thanks in advance. |
Congratulations kaffy4bill. I'm so happy for you. May God bless your princess real good. |
@shewwezy n nggie, my son is a month old and grunts too when he's sleeping though I think its reducing now. His own stretching na super and he seems to enjoy it . He poos a lot too, initially it use to be after/during every feed so I guess there's nothing to worry about. |
helovesme:Extremely painful. |
BritneyStacy:Na so my sis. So many people have discovered Uniuyo health centre. Even though they attend to students and staffs first, outsiders atr still trooping in there. Scissors with blunt tips (to prevent injury to d baby's head was used on me) though i can't vouch for them. @gocare, I had muscle pull at my third trimester till I delivered. It stopped within 2 weeks after delivery. Nothing to be worried about. For those fearing episiotomy, its for your own good and d food of your baby. I learned its better to get a clean tear done than to have natural tears which may not be easy to sew. I was so afraid of it but I had it during delivery. In fact I looked at the site the first week and ran in here to ask questions because it was goose bumps worthy but I was told by plenty mamas that it will go back to normal and they were right. Wishing all July mamas safe deliveries. |
What a wicked world! |
Thanks @ dunnybaby26, chinyeaka85 and bossladymo1. I'll get the pregnacare. |
Good evening mamas. Please apart from eating well to improve breastmilk, is there any drug I can take (maybe supplement or cod liver oil)?. I was given ferobin plus after I put to bed. I'm asking because sometimes I find it hard to eat cos of lack of appetite. Thanks. |
bossmum:It depends on your location. I used Uniuyo health center (not teaching hospital) and I have no regrets though I just learnt their doctors don't do nights. My reasons for using them was because: - The queue wasn't much (for working mums) - You get to see only one doctor and he's quite experienced. - Their facilities are cleaner and the environment serene. Others that are good too are the Uniuyo Teaching Hospital (if you can stand the crowd) and St. Luke's hospital, Anua. |
Thanks mamas for your responses. I'll follow maran1983 advice and see how it goes. |
Please has anyone use Tommy tippee manual breast pump before? Did it pump well? I'm worried because I tried expressing today n it only filled the bottom of the storage container which is very small. Someone told me me avent manual is better though she hasn't use Tommy tippee before. I expressed after breastfeeding my son and I'm now worried that maybe I'm not producing enough (though my baby suckles and sleeps well when he's filled up). Please help a first time mum. |
Hello mamas, pls my 2 weeks old baby is refusing to sleep on the bed since yesterday. he only sleeps when I'm carrying him n when I lay him down he starts crying. He's been suckling a loooot today yet seems unsatisfied if he stops suckling n i remove d breast frm his mouth. Pls why shld I do? Yesternight I didn't sleep well n I haven't BN able to sleep today since I v to carry him b4 he'll sleep. |
Congratulations olaoyekemi. God bless your princess. @lovinam n imurboss, I no know who send me message o. I'm gradually feeling better though. No looking again for now. |
Thanks kaffy4bill. Oga's office must return to normal @ modath. |
@tobiaboG Thanks. I'll start tomorrow. |
@tchiwinnie Yes I was given pain relievers and antibiotics. The gape isn't wide. Is it going to close on its own? Thanks very much for your prompt responses. |
@tchiwinnie I think there's a gape kind of but its not painful and doesn't look like a wound, I don't even know where my vag.na is and recalling that sewing experience makes me cringe. The reason they gave for the 3weeks wait was because they used elastic thread for the sewing. |
Congratulations biggal. God bless your LO. @mamas, please I had these tears when I put to bed and the nurses that attended to me said I shouldn't sit on hot/warm water till after 3weeks when it might have healed. . |
modath:Okay o. Bobo is fine as long as he sucks. |
Happy mamas how Una dey? Vigilante no be small thing o. Congratulations Biggal on the birth of your princess. May God bless her abundantly. @modath, e be like say you don dey find trouble like our senior beedam o (make she no catch me o). All the same, I like the intelligence vibes I get when I read your posts. |
Is it me or does the ex government official looks like Obasanjo? |
sheweezy:Congratulations! God's special blessings on your family. |
Good morning mamas. Thanks for all your contributions and encouragements. May God richly bless you and your families and keep your little ones safe. Amen. BIRTH STORY: My EDD was on May 31st, though there was no contractions, i started seeing drawy discharge w/o blood. After 2 days, i noticed the discharge was tinged with blood so i went to the hospital on Wednesday, June 3rd and reported to the midwife on duty. she asked me to go and exercise and come back in the evening when the contractions start. The contractions started at about 8pm and was irregular. Hubby took me to the hospital and I was checked and found to be 2cm dilated. I was asked to go back home and return when I have 3 contractions in 10mins. At 3:30am, we arrived the hospital and I was admitted. I was 4cm dilated. I was checked again at 9am and I was 5cm. At this time I was getting frustrated, I couldn't eat, couldn't drink, was having this horrible hiccups, nausea and I was feeling sleepy. At 1pm or there about, I was still 5cm so I was put on oxytocin drip and the contractions started getting stronger, at 8pm I was wheeled into the labor ward. Because I couldn't urinate even I felt the urge to, they inserted catheter but the urine refused to come out, then the time doe pushing came. Hmmm, I pushed and pushed and pushed, nothing happened. They brought vacuum, nothing happened. The nurses turned to prayer warriors, other patients were praying outside, my mum and hubby were praying outside. They said the bladder filled with urine was responsible. I couldn't stay awake. It was difficult but since our God is ever faithful, at a time I didn't expect, my prince came out weighing 3.7kg and the battle for him to breath started. Then I heard his beautiful cry and I knew that God has made everything beautiful in His time. N/B: Those nurses that attended to me changed my perception of nurses. Not all of them are snobs. May God richly bless them and their families. |
Rejoice with me as my prince arrived at 9:42pm yesterday weighing 3.7kg. Birth story later. |
Thanks for all your encouragements, I really appreciate. I've just started having the contractions again though they are irregular. I've had 3 so far since 9:11pm. I'm just thinking of giving it till 11pm and if it continues, then I'll leave for the hospital. Thanks once again. |
modath:Thanks. I'm trekking again already. I just hope the contractions hit. |
Hello mamas. Please my EDD was on May 31st. i have been having lots of discharge for the past 2 days but this morning, i saw a tinge of blood (show). I went to the hospital and a midwife examined me and said she's only been able to put in a finger. she asked me to come back in the evening as i will have contractions then, she asked me to exercise. i trekked from that hospital till half way home (long journey) and all through I was having contractions. Got home n relaxed n d contractions stopped until I started exercising again but now I'm not having it anymore but the discharge is much and I feel like I'm leaking water. what should I do biko I'm so frustrated. My laps are paining me because of previous exercise and I'm limping because of the way d baby is lying. |
@joyousf, I bought tommee tippee manual breast pump on konga this month at 6k plus delivery rate of 1k making it 7k. |
