Brace up guys, the end is indeed here for GTs. My friend went to FCC yesterday and saw the NNPC HR team having a meeting with the FCC, the COC was not issued yesterday because the list wasn't sorted according to state. He then now called his contact just now and he told him the COC has been typed. Just as mentioned on Nairaland tomorrow through next week God willing.

Please hopefuls I just shared what my friend told me.

Please lets be real. Which organization in Nigeria - private or public gives periodic updates during a recruitment process.

The only updates you get are at typical milestones i.e Submission of application/CV, Invitation for test/ interview as case maybe, Offer of Employment / Medicals(medicals comes first before final offer in some cases). Its only at the end of process that unsuccessful candidates could possibly get a rejection mail.

Not sure I've seen NNPC do anything unusual save for the prolonged delay with final results release.

Even my current organization been an international organization with claims to operate at highest levels of international best practices could even be worse if they don't get approvals from offshore HQ with decision on every little including recruitment - tried to hire one guy after excellent performance at interview in June 2019 and we are just only rounding off talk more of the “golden goose” of Nigeria that had millions of potential applicants to sieve from.

Like someone said, GMD had said recruitment will be concluded. What more update do we need again. Lets us just be patient. The process will end and very soon from all indication.

To be honest we are truly getting close. My own source though not high up there but was actively engaged during our interview process at towers lobby before going into amphi theater.

He says strong indication that “go ahead” is expected to come downstairs anytime from now - this guy rarely ever picks calls. Last he mentioned a while back was that court case was still in the way until resolved by NNPC Legal. As usual he ends conversation with keep praying.

Information is progressive and recent happenings buttress the authenticity of the information provided by panalyst. Its also amazing to me that other quiet sources sprang up immediately after his info on 31st Dec.

NNPC as with every other MDA always has backdoor entry. The GMD could exercise powers too recruit off plan especially for TAs and SAs that work directly under his purview (besides, are you telling me if Buhari unexpectedly decides to personally endorse CV of a candidate via Kyari today, are you telling me GMD will tell the person to wait until after court case for APL - is he,MKK) mad ni?

I personally know one or two who got into the corporation during Kachichukwu tenor as GMD and not at any tiny supervisor/officer level for that matter. These people got in at Managerial levels even with little or no industry experience or attending the mandatory chief officers course that NNPC staff must attend and pass before your break into Deputy Manager cadre where your life changes for better with the kind of pay you get ( a lot of people within the system frowned at this and was one of the reasons the union and staff generally disliked Kachikwu despite laying some foundation of transparency and accountability we see in the NNPC today eg monthly account publications etc). Some of these Kachikwu hires are still there though i heard some of them were immediately relieved shortly after his departure as MoS. It will always happen. The risk with those who enter through those sort of off-cycle recruitment doors is that the next guy comes in or somebody chooses not to like you, all they need to do is petition your staff file for review /audit and next thing you be waiting tables at Mr Biggs. Anything from even your first school leaving certificate, declaration of age to even your NYSC certificate or fact that you dont have immunization certificate sef would be scrutinized and used to make a strong case for eviction!

A mass recruitment which goes through several layers of internal and external approval bureaucracies is the surest bet in terms of job security(even if any games has to be played to sneak people in plus create ghost workers sef is best done under such windows like this)

So you are correct, people have joined NNPC since this process started and will continue to join but your guess is as good as mine if they and their sponsors would not be smart enough to do a clinical job with putting in place all the filing and paper work from start to finish.

I heard same thing on the 5th July too at the NNPC amphitheatre by the late bros, that died few months ago, 7am interview batch can relate well on this, the man said, "if anybody needs account details to put down in case you don't have one, I can give you mine and I refund your money back by February"... Anyone that did his/her interview that 5th, 7am batch, can testify too, although, the man is late now ( of blessed memory). I believed, we are closer to the NNPC OoE than before, I won't let non-participants to deter/discourage me about this on-going process. It will end in joy for "we" NNPC truly hopefuls by God's grace.

Seeing these videos were sadning , took me back to our own experience and how almost hitch free it was including the interview...
Point is that we should have more faith in the process and the corporation and believe the time they're taking is to get it all right one more time. Ps. Don't give up on giving that your plan B a try or making one if you didn't have any.

This is just the sad tale of Nigeria. Just this month alone, we have had to cough up several tax and levy payments amounting to almost 400k at various level - Federal, State and Local Government - one as ridiculous as generator tax levied by the local government.

So bad that we were told that payment receipt for a particular tax payment filed earlier in the year was not acceptable because we paid to a wrong group who collected outside of their jurisdiction( how on earth are we supposed to know that a group of local govtmennt tax agents went beyond their circle of operation?!). Its just crazy!

We are just truly a patient and resilient people with a lot of hope! Thats what our politicians/ leaders prey on. A quarter of this nonsense they cant try in Egypt or one of those other South American or Arab countries wey dey get brain touch! They are even lucky that its just beating they are now getting when they travel abroad!

I have come to take the people on this platform as friends.

If man had cosmic control over the course of events, I would will it to favour most of the brains on this platform so that one day, we could all sit and talk over a beer or something.

Without equivocation or any reservation, I make bold to say that this thread showcases so much talent. You deserve a whole lot.

In view of the foregoing I make bold to tell you; that on good authority, the matter is still not close to closure. At least not within this month.

Last time I spoke I stated "at least middle of December". However, with the recent update I got, I guarantee you it won't be this December. That's the sad reality of government jobs, you can't place a timeline and expect it to stand, there would always be issues that would alter very well planned schedules.

It is logistically and bureaucratically impossible for the closure to work this year given the state of affairs in-house. It isn't an assumption I assure you.

I don't think there is anyone here whose disappointment is higher than mine.

The good news however is that the process hasn't yet been highjacked.

Going back into ghost mode, at least till next year.

May our expectations not be cut short.

I wish you all exceedingly well.
