Are we all detecting a trend here? If you remember GEJ's answer to the power question on the last media chat and add that to Labaran's comments above you will realise that very soon i.e. within the next 1yr, govt will claim to be generating over 10000MW but our transmission capacity is unable to deliver it to the masses i.e we shd wait till 2017 |
Redhot111: Ohonba line advert bak in d days. If u stayed in Benin den u will knw wat I meanHahahaha..............I feel u bros. |
This is just crazy on so many levels. 255 million Naira on 2 cars when I have been tryin to raise just 2m for 1 car since the beginning of the year! You can see why ASUU remains adamant with regard to their demands! I would really love to hear Okupe and Abati defend this. The most painful thing about this is that we can make all the noise we want but NOTHING will be done regarding this case. Remember Farouk Lawan? |
IYA NGBALI: how do I get ABG in keffi, nasarawa state?ABG signals dont get to Keffi but u can get CTL on that road opp Total filling station.ABG in Abuja is same as Metro Digital. The picture quality is very good and the OSN station,s show recent movies. Apart from watching La Liga , EPL, Serie A, Ligue 1, they show African World cup qualifiers |
Diehard, I think u are right. I was thinking abt getting a Murano earlier in the yr and got to hear the same gist abt problematic transmission. Then I remembered an old friend who has been using the car for over 4yrs. I put a call thru to him and he confirmed what u said. U should only use CVT transmission fluid or else..... |
Thanks guys. I really appreciate the insightful comments. Would appreciate more though! |
Where are the 3 Greenfield refineries, petrochemical plant and fertiliser plant you promised wld be commissioned by next yr as part of the oil and gas masterplan? What is the present state of our refineries viz-a-viz the TAM that was expected to be completed early this yr? As a former lecturer and now President of this country, why is it difficult to end this ASUU strike? Why is the value of the Naira falling everyday under your watch? Why cant the government prosecute oil thieves who are currently sabotaging the contry? |
This is really sad but we all know it is true! In fact, right at this moment in many locations in Nigeria, this same thing is happening. Pls, OP whatever it takes, state the name of this station and the day it happened. Somebody on this forum will read it and do the needful. |
Hi guys. I am seriously thinking of buying any of the Korean car brands. I am attracted by their affordability and the availability of financing. I have interviewed up to six people who have driven these cars for years without any major issues including a guy who has driven a Cerato for>5yrs.. My interest is in the Hyundai ix35/Santa FE or Kia sportage. I understand the lack of good resale value but I have heard some people say they prefer to buy a Tokunbo Camry for instance. Would really like to hear commnts from ppl who have actually driven Kia/Hyundai models. Thanks |
Hi. I am seriously thinking of purchasing a Nissan vehicle. What I have in mind is Rogue ,Qashqai or a Murano. Would like advice from guys who have experience with any of these regarding performance, fuel efficiency. availability of spare parts and suitability for Nigerian roads. |
Hi. I had this problem with my Toyota corolla 2005 American specs a while back. The car refused to start after I had changed the fuel pump like 4 times in 2 wks. I noticed that in the mornings the car would start. If I drove for like 5km then stop to buy something for like a minute or two, the car would refuse to re-start. It continued like this for a while. . However if I leave the car for like 2-3hrs to cool, it would then start. What could have been the cause |
She really deserves it. I was blown away when she performed numb/ encore and suddenly SWITCHED to MJ's Black or White. It was a stunning performance! |
Really great contributions on this thread. I have a lot of friends who read pet or chem engineering so I can relate to some stuff here. What really rankles me is how in a countryt that crude oil accts for over 80% of its earnings, there are so many jobless petroleum/ chemical/ other engineers. Even a good number of those employed work in banks or other unrelated businesses. I just pray things improve now that Dangote and few others appear serious abt setting up huge refineries. |
Please can anyone tell me what Bonfere's record as a coach was before he came to Nigeria? Whatever pedigree he has as a coach now was from his stint with Nigeria. What really annoys me reading this is that in the World cup qualifiers for Korea Japan 2002, we all complained that the same Eagles under Bonfere were too slow and predictable. He was sacked and replaced with Amodu Shuaibu who delivered the World Cup ticket |
Interesting! It is actully not impossible that all 5 qualifiers are from West Africa! |
Channels is probably the most educative Nigerian station. On pay-tv , it has to be National geographic and Discovery Channels. |
This is an obvious case of Stockholm Syndrome! |

Nice. I heard abt this Mikel Agu of FC Porto some years back though he played for their youth team. I understand he is a very skillful attacking midfielder. Does anyone know if he is a first team player now? Has anyone seen him play and is he good enough for the Super Eagles? |
Hi , I need a Toyota RAV4 2009 or 2010. Toks, clean title and 4 cylinder. How much shd I budget? |
Pls where is the Trade fair cplx. |
Just curious! How come the 2013 Camry, Corolla and Yaris are going for the same price? |
Bought this stuff for my dad earlier in the year on his request and he has not received more tha 12 channels. He has reported the matter severally to the DSTV office to no avail. Truth be told GOTV is just one big FRAUD. The real problem is that the regulatory agencies ie CONSUMER PROECTION COUNCIL seem helples cos dey cannot claim ignorance. MTN another South African company is doing the same with its poor blackberry services |
Thanx everyone. It turned out to be the relay as stated above. Sorry for not updating earlier. |
This is the funniest post I hav read on Nairaland. Just a word of advice. U shd protect this material via copywright. I wont b surprised if naija comedians start using this material as if they originated it. U r obviously VERY talented and shd find a way of making cool cash with ur talent. Just reading thru, I know u r smart/creative enough to devise a means. God bless! |
I thought I was the only one who found this excuse laughable. Whose dutyis it to protet the pipelines in the first place? |
My brother, many thanks for raising this very important topic. I am also very happy with the very enlightening responses cos it is obvious most people are speaking from personal experiences. What I would like to add is that night time is a great time to HEAR FROM GOD! As a teenager I attended a night vigil some mths after writing UME. We prayed, sang praises and shared bible verses. At abt 3a.m. a number of us were sleepy. The priest suddenly came out and woke everyone up saying this was the time we needed to pray the most. He urged us to specifically ask for what we wanted at that moment. I asked GOD for admission into university. I got a clear revelation that I wld get admission , but not in the school I was hoping, becos God had a better plan for me. I didn't fully grasp the revelation then. All my efforts in terms of meeting people who could help went into my University of first choice. Few mths later I got my admission letter to read my chosen course at my 2nd choice university. I will be grateful to God all my life for this miracle. Since then I have had many similar experiences when praying at night. I encourage everyone to take time out to pray at night/ early morning hours so as to LISTEN to GOD. |
Another 'FG to' thread. No b today! |
