boladet: Hey guys Visa for my son(baby) was approved yesterday it was pretty straightforward considering the whole family have valid visas already, The only concern I had was the fact that we had been issued since early 2018 and was yet to be used. I was the first on the interview queue I was interviewed by a Lady . Me -Good Afternoon. VO - Good morning ,oh sorry Good afternoon Me submitted baby's passport , VO lady asked for mine asking to see my visa VO when were issued this visa and why haven't you travelled . ME - I was pregnant ,so we decided to wait until the baby was born VO -what is the purpose of your visit. ME-vacation tourism. VO -who will you be visiting. ME-my sister in law VO - where is your husband ME- He is waiting for me at the car park VO what do you do ME I work at xyz VO ,what does your husband do Me He owns his own company abc. VO - so the whole family of five will be travelling ME -Yes. VO- picks up the white paper ,your visa has been approved bla bla bla. ME - thank you. I noticed that the pile of blue paper was way higher than the white paper .(the White paper pile was so flat) almost as if they have predetermined how many approvals will be given. Congrats. I think the number of approvals is predetermined hence the little number of white papers. Personal opinion o |

MacShiff: Bros, you are right but look at it from this angle.
With WES
You will pay for transcript and for verification and it will be more stressful and expensive if your ND polytechnic is different from your HND poly.
Also consider the cost and stress of sending waec and verifying it.
With ICES
You only pay for transcript and send to them via mail or courier. No verification is required and no headache. They don't ask for waec.
At the end you spend more money and delays on WES than ICES. Please go with ICES.
Please dont look at the money, look at what you stand to gain at the end and especially your kids You right man. Thanks |

MacShiff: Yes, it will work for both NCE and HND. Both would be verified. My wife who is the PA verified only her HND with WES while I verified only my HND and Bsc.
We are both given two or more.
With wes waec requirements now. I will advice you verify your ND and HND only with ICES if you have not started with your ECA. Bros that's double money o. |

MacShiff: When creating profile with only HND.
You will pick Three years diploma first and fill your ECA number and click on add to add the second educational qualification as ONE year diploma. Also fill the same ECA number.
With this your profile becomes two or more and your CRS score will be same 454 as your CRS calculator.
When creating profile with HND and ND
You will pick Three years diploma first and fill your ECA number and click on add to add the second educational qualification as ONE year diploma. Also fill the same ECA number.
You also pick TWO years diploma for your ND.
That was what we did and it was accepted. It was displayed as three years diploma and one year postgraduate diploma in our gcsm notes.
The Analyst will work with whats on your ECA report. We Verified only our HND as three year diploma and one year postgraduate diploma.
WES verified only our HND as there year diploma and one year postgraduate certificate.
BUT with ICES you must verify both your ND and HND to get two or more certificate. I believe this will work for those of us with NCE and HND? I believe both will be verified by WES or is it only HND? Thanks |

zannie: I'm just frustrated with WES. I wish I never decided to use them. When did they start asking for verification of certificate?. I sent them my BSc certificate through hellofax only for them to ask my school to verify the certificate, which is going to cost me double. I'm just so confused.
If you are still at ECA stage, I'll reiterate what others have been saying. DO NOT USE WES!!!!! I'm dbouting them too o. Or how can one overcome this?. I like them cuz of my case, I got NCE and HND. |

mankind5050: Hello house. I have read through this thread over time to prepare myself for life in Canada. I am still far from achieving my Canada PR dream as I’m yet to enter the EE Pool. I am married with two kids. I need your objective opinion to make the best choice. I am considering my options coz of my CRS score. If I nailed max out IELTS I will have 427 if I choose that I am married and spouse is accompanying me. But if I choose that I am married but with spouse not accompanying me I can have 445 which should get me ITA.I am aware that I will be able to sponsor my family after 3 months but it will take at least 1 year to finalize(anyone with experience about this may educate me) .The pros and cons based on my understanding is stated below.
*1st Option* -Apply directly through EE as married but not being accompanied by spouse. Spouse and children's details will be recorded with my application *Pros* *Will be able to get ITA as soon as I achieve 8 8 7.5 7.5 in IELTS. *Will have the freedom of landing and moving to any Province. *Will cost less to maintain myself while looking for a job since spouse & children will still be in Naija.
*Cons* *Will have to wait at least a year to bring spouse & children to Canada. *Will have to achieve 8 8 7.5 7.5 in IELTS
*2nd Option* Apply through PNP *Pros* *Will have PR for all family members at the same time *May have it will just 7777 in IELTS
*Cons* *Processing PR through PNP can take forever .Some provinces require having a relative, some require license and others have NOCs of interest. *It definitely costs more e.g. Ontario PNP costs 1500CAD *There is movement restrictions. I may need to stay in the province of nomination for about 2 yrs.
I want the gurus in the house to objectively analyse my case as stated above considering the pros and cons of the two options before me. You may add or correction the points stated in the pros and cons. I hope that your knowledge and experience will help me make the best choice. Thank you Hmmmm. I am in same situation. Im planning to move to Canada alone and my family will join me after a year. But my wife no wan gree o! |

Ifywhyteman: I'm still a novice my brother, don't know much about financial transactions and transfers between naija and Canada banks, maybe our seniors that are more knowledgeable in that area can help u. I will advise u also discuss with ur bank how they do it. I was told by my bank that I can use my mastercard for purchases and even withdraw from ATM machines here. It will just convert the amount in CAD equivalence and dispense to u. GTBnk told me I can only withdraw 300CAD with their own debit mastercard daily. So I had to leave some of my monies in my Naija account since I can still operate them from here. But find out. Thanks sir |

Ifywhyteman: No, you don't need to carry that much, else you will have to declare it. Just carry below 10k CAD and put the rest on ur account. They only asked me how much I was having with me...Mine was even about 4k CAD in cash, and they said ok. Nothing much. Don't carry huge amount, even for safety purposes. Make u no lose am sef. Thank you sir. Im going with my family of 5. Buh hope transferring the cash to Canada from my Nigerian account won't be issue when I get to Canada? |

Rizzoli: Truly ivory coast is beautiful and very neat.. The roads are good, constant electricity and very hospitable. Driving though plateau, cocody at night and no traffic all the way. Guess what, no traffic wardens in the country yet people are disclipled enough to respect the traffic light... Less than a week here with my family and the kids are having fun, simple cars on the road, the people have a good and content disposition to life, no hurry and jumping... We intend to check out the beach this weekend, i hear its an amazing place to be. Please bro I'm planning visiting with my perps too. What are the cost implications? Pls email me . I have sent u a mail request. Planning to visit abidgan soon |

They will surely mail you soonest. Please share your transcript. thank you delimit: I attended US interview on Monday with my family and the visa were granted to 5 of us but to my surprise my 3rd child passport was not released and the embassy is yet to get across to me. Though on his passport his surname is a compound name (my first name and surname) while others are sharing the same surname with me. can this be the problem and how long should I wait for them before I contact them |
