NNTR:
You're typing cobblers. What f does 'But Death is not destruction but consumed' mean

Consume, simply means, completely destroy, while destruction, means causing irreparable damage to the extent the thing ceases to exist

Whatever fire consumes, fire destroys. The intensity and level of combustion, that Lake of Fire has, is extremely high, so that it easily will annihilate whatever is thrown into it (i.e. will completely destroy) hence why Isaiah 1:28 states
But rebels and sinners will be crushed and destroyed together,
And those who abandon (turn away from) the LORD will be consumed (perish).

No being(s), aside God, is immortal
God is not a sadist who gets kick from listening or hearing human beings kept alive crying and gnashing teeth
God does not enjoy pains or suffering of others. Stop all these your heretical ill-informed posting.

Personal text: Jesus is not a theologian. He is God who told stories.
Man is immortal. Nobody ever dies(cease to exist). The unsaved will burn in hell forever. This is why evangelism must be a priority to every Christian.

BE LIKE BROTHER PAUL.

While Paul was a prisoner in Rome, he still got to preach and teach. He did it with confidence and no one told him to stop. That is really incredible that even while he was a prisoner, he was able to spread the gospel. Paul was a prisoner and instead of wallowing in self-pity or despair, he recognized that he could still glorify God in the situation. Sometimes our situation may seem bleak. Why would God allow this to happen to us? We can glorify God in every situation. There is no situation that you will face that God cannot be glorified in. Wherever you find yourself, no matter how hard the circumstance, seek to glorify God.
I agree with you

Paul being imprisoned was actually very beneficial to the body of Christ. He wrote some of the Epistles in prison. You can glorify and serve in every situation.
Christianity EtcRe: The Saints And Their Authority Over Witchcraft by michaelwestern(m): 6:27pm On Jun 11, 2022
elated177:
El Elohe Yahshrael!

The saints should neither ignore the existence of witchcraft nor worry about its activities.

The saints should know what witchcraft is and its main aim. The main aim of witchcraft is to fight against the saints of YHVH of Hosts.

Witchcraft hates everything the saints stand for and in its pride and arrogance will try to pull them down -- effort in futility.

Witchcraft is simply one of the arms of Satan which he designed solely to fight against the saints. He does this in an effort to make a mockery of the power of our Father in heaven in and over their lives as expressed in the gifts and fruits of the Spirit. How does the evil one do this? He, through the demons, gives his human slaves powers to fight against the saints.

It means, therefore, that ignoring the existence of witchcraft is the same thing as ignoring the existence of Satan and the demons. That is one mistake which no servant of Yahushua the Messiah should ever make.

On the contrary, the saints should know enough to understand that witchcraft and the powers behind it are under their feet. Col 2:9-10; Eph 1:20-23, 1 Peter 3:22.

Witchcraft at its best cannot stand any saint of YHVH of Hosts, and therefore will still be under the feet of the saint.

But even the least servant of Yahushua the Messiah our Master when operating at a quarter of the power made available to him by the Master Yahushua will still be too hot for any form of witchcraft.

That is why witchcraft only waits for when the saints are physically and spiritually drained to attack.

What does it attack? It attacks the mind first, as in the case of the servant of our Father in heaven, Elijah the prophet, when he ran away from that witch, Jezebel. Look at the great and awesome power he wielded: he called down fire on Mount Carmel, he went down the valley and slaughtered all the 850 prophets of Baal and Asherah, he climbed up the mount again and called down rain and finally, he ran and overtook those on horsebacks. 1 Kings 18:16-46.

Each activity required both physical and spiritual energy. So, you could say that the prophet Elijah was both spiritually and physically drained when that witch, Jezebel, threatened him -- 1 King 19:1-4.

What Elijah needed at that time was rest as well as food -- spiritual and physical. The food and water which the Father later gave to him did exactly that. It strengthened his spirit, soul and body -- 1 King 19:5-9.

The saints must know that we are no different. The situation is still the same. We are still in constant battle against the forces of darkness. Like Elijah, sometimes we will be exhausted. With each bout of exhaustion comes more power than before. The Word of our Father in heaven is the source of this power. We need to feed on the Word. The word, which is spirit and life itself, gives life to and energizes our spirits and, by that very fact, our souls and bodies.

We also need physical food for our bodies.

We know that the Father is one with his Word and that the Word is Yahushua the Messiah. It means that when we have the Word in us, we will live in obedience. And when we live in obedience, we have rest.

For witchcraft and other demonic activities to thrive, sin must abound. Look at the society with all the religious houses. See the near-nudity and sexual immorality, the greed and covetousness, the lying and stealing, envy and jealousy, etc. Satan fills this world with so much evil that it takes only the favour of YHVH of Hosts to stand.

No other sin besides idolatry brings about demonic activities like sexual immorality, especially homosexuality and lesbianism. Wherever you find these forms of wickedness, be it family, community or church, you will find witchcraft.

So it is foolhardy praying for anyone who is involved in witchcraft to repent. Did they tell you they don't know what they are doing? Do not waste your time and energy on such venture. I am not saying that we should pray for them to die either.

However, we know that anything that sets itself up against the knowledge of YHVH will be thrown down and annihilated --- 2 Cor 10:4-6. Even Satan and the demons know this fact. Do their human slaves know?

Witchcraft in its pride and arrogance exalts itself by trying to stand against the saints; therefore it will be thrown down and annihilated. Anything or anyone who depends on witchcraft will suffer the same thing.

So, you see, it is not necessary to pray for any human being to die. Attack the head, the source, and the body will be powerless. Satan is the head and source of witchcraft. How do attack him? What attack can a mortal carry out against Satan? That attack is walking in righteousness...obeying the Commandments of YHVH Almighty.

You see, righteous life renders Satan powerless. A righteous and clean environment frustrates demonic activities. The importance of living a life devoid of sin cannot be overemphasized.

The saints, as servants and followers of our Master Yahushua the Messiah, have been given power to cast out demons and trample on any power of darkness --- Luke 10:18-19. It does not matter where such evil power resides. Witchcraft is built on the powers of Satan and demons. Without Satan and the demons, those who engage in it cannot lift a finger.

Satan, the demons and the other evil forces have no kind of authority over our Master Yahushua the Messiah under whose feet the Father has put all things--Eph 1:19-23. We as the servants of Yahushua the Messiah have been given this power to exercise on earth--- John 14:12-14, 17:22-23. Who or what can stop us? No one. Nothing. When in doubt read Roman 8:26-39. Obedience to the Word of YHVH Almighty is the key to this Power.

However, we cannot exercise this power while living in sin. It does not work that way. That will make us no different from those practising witchcraft.

A righteous and set-apart life puts evil forces under our feet. Then, we can fully exercise the power of our Father and pull down all demonic strongholds.

We must revere and teach in his name. Also, we must live and teach the Commandments of our Father --- Mal 3:16-18, 4:1-6; Matt 5:19.

Study the Scriptures for yourself, live a righteous life, eat right and, rest in Yahushua the Messiah.

When your light shines in any environment that you are, no darkness has a chance. It is my prayer that the eyes of the saints be opened to behold and comprehend the magnitude of the power we have in Yahushua the Messiah.

El Elohe Yahshrael! Hallelu Yah!
I loved your post. I agree with most of what you said, however faith and knowledge of the word of God is more important in our fight against the devil than our personal righteousness. You can just rest on the righteousness of Jesus Christ and the devil will have no avenue to condemn you.

1. 2 Corinthians 5 vs 17 does not correctly address my first point in any way though..
... this since Paul instead there suggests that only those who change from following the Old way to following the New way are indeed those who are in Jesus Christ, just as John the Baptist Himself stated as he admonished the Pharisees who came to Him to be baptized in Matthew 3 vs 7 - 11. Everything are become new there in refernce to the living in submission to and obedience of a New Law, a total new way of life. undecided

2. Actually, i didn't agree with you on the second point since you instead think reading of your Bible a pivotal step in the process when Jesus Christ Himself, using the Pharisees, explained severally that such isn't. undecided

I do speak in tongues, only He does it whenever He wants to - i don't control or command it nor do have full understanding of what it is really about still. I accept it since I am meant to accept the cross I am given for following Him, this as commanded by Him.undecided
For your first point, check the king James version, it's the closest to the original greek manuscript. You can also check the original greek words. A saved person is a new creature. And this change occurs in a man's spirit.

I don't get your second point. Are you saying that reading the Bible does not help you grow as a Christian? Check 1peter2:2

Lastly, you can speak in tongues anytime you want, I'm currently speaking in tongues as I'm typing. Try it, and you will see that you can also do it anytime.

1. And I am explaining to you that Jesus Christ taught that the multitude of those born-again will end up in Hell(eternal damnation). undecided

2. Jesus Christ who is recorded to have first used the term instead explained its meaning to you as it ought to be applied. undecided

And yes, even to those of them who will end up in Hell, old things are indeed passed away since a new chapter begins for them as well, as children of the Devil - John 8 vs 42 - 47 undecided

3. I am afraid that isn't entirely true since no one is born with a spirit. It is instead acquired at the point when a person becomes born-again. This is what Jesus Christ explained of what it means to be born-again - born of water and or Spirit in John 3 vs 1 - 8. undecided
So technically there is no becoming a new creature in the spirit since said spirit didn't exist in the person before that point. undecided

Instead becoming a new creature has more with repentance, which involves a changing from the Way(Law or way of living) to being subject to the New Way(Jesus Christ, God's New Covenant and Law in the Kingdom of God) as one who now has a spirit to boot. undecided

4. I gave no verse a private interpretation since I quote Jesus Christ Himself the one who told instead you that only those who live their lives in continuous submission to and obedience of His teachings(and commandments) will be saved. undecided

So unless you are here suggesting the authors of the letter to the Romans and that to the Hebrews directly contradicted the very Truth of God Himself, I suggest you go back to Reread what it is you claim you claim were established in there for you to believe instead. undecided

By the way, grace which refers to Eternal life only saves you from the first Death, it does not grant you access to God's Heaven. So you really need to reassess what it is you think was established for you as it contradicts Jesus Christ.. undecided

5. What is written in that verse from John's letter isn't the problem here. Instead what seems your private interpretation or conclusion is here the issue. undecided

John clearly spoke only of those who are born of God aka Sons of God, not of those who are born-again as you instead claim. undecided
Nobody was born-again until Jesus died so Jesus couldn't have been saying that born-again Christians will go to hell. It's even people that are depending on their own righteousness that might end up in hell.

You become a new creature when you get saved. To have a new creature means that you had an old creature. Nobody can be justified by their own righteousness. Stop deceiving yourself that you will get to a stage where you will be sinless. Accept the righteousness of Jesus Christ.

Why did Jesus Christ die for your sins if your sins will still take you to hell fire? What did Jesus Christ die for then?

Every book in the Bible is the word of God. Jesus Christ didn't write the four gospels Himself. I don't know why you're placing more regards on the four gospels. Every book in the Bible was written physically by men under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit. No book in the Bible is more authoritative than another. Even Jesus Christ quoted old testament scriptures and He called them the word of God.

How can your neighbours that you are Dangote's son yet you are still in your father's house and still the you that they know. Shall they not laugh at you and tell you, you are not serious?

My brother, there is no way you can validly argue against me. You can not safe into the water and not come out wet. You can not live in 2 houses at the same time. You can not serve 2 masters at the same time. You can not be a child of God and a child the-evil, at the same time.
That's because the change in nature occurs in the Spirit and not in behavior.

You can observe changes in behavior but you can't see changes in the Spirit.

By the renewing of the mind and help of the Holy Spirit, there will eventually be observable changes in behavior. The only a problem is that a lot of Christians don't renew their mind by meditating in the word of God and therefore the behavioral changes don't manifest.

Therefore, this proves that you are not God's child and therefore, this scripture, IS NOT FOR YOU.

It is not for people who sin and who know that they shall soon be sinning, even in the next 3 hours.
And I'm telling you that my spirit (which is the real me) cannot sin. Therefore I'm born of God and God does not fellowship with me based on my actions. Rather He fellowships with me through my spirit that cannot sin

1. That change in nature is of God, not of men - Ezekiel 36 vs 25 - 27. What God instead calls for us to do and continue in is that we continue in submission and obedience of His teachings(and commandments) to us through Jesus Christ. undecided

2. You instead become holy and righteous through continuous submission to and obedience of the teachings( and commandments) of Jesus Christ, God's Truth. Only the Truth is able to set a one who Is previously born-again free from slavery to sin - John 8 vs 31 - 34 and John 14 vs 15 - 25 . Holiness and righteousness are lifelong endeavors. That is part why Jesus Christ also said those who stand faithful till the end will be saved- Matthew 24 vs 13. undecided

1. Devils and demons are also spirit. So are you somehow insinuating they too are already righteous and so cannot sin? undecided

I mean yes, for us humans, sin is transgression of God's Law aka disobedience, so it is in fact when we disobey God's direct commandment that we are said to commit sin. However, this conclusion of yours that spirit is righteous and hence cannot sin is abit much, don't you think? undecided

Also a bit much is how you arrived at that supposed conclusion from what John wrote there in 1 John 3 vs 9. . undecided

2. Satan, demons and devils are also spirit. So?? undecided

3. Hold on a minute! Born-again simply means one is born of Spirit and gained access to the Kingdom of God as a result- John 3 vs 5 - 8. . However, this access is granted through either of two gates : the Broad gate which leads to destruction(Hell) and the Narrow Gate which leads to True Life (Heaven) - Matthew 7 vs 13 - 14 and Luke 13 vs 22 - 28. What this means is that even those who will end up in eternal damnation(Hell) are also Born-again. lipsrsealed
I'm talking about the spirit of a born-again Christian. Demons can't get saved.

The reason why we use the word born-again is because according to 2corinthians 5:17, anybody in Christ is a new creature and old things have passed away.

The flesh and mind of a christian doesn't change at salvation therefore it's only the spirit that becomes a new creature at salvation.

Also, you can't take any verse in the Bible and give it your own private interpretation. It has been clearly established in Romans and Hebrews that your works of righteousness cannot save you, only Jesus can save you and you can't combine both (grace and law). Therefore the book of John cannot go against that. You have to accept the whole Bible as a whole not picking and choosing the verses you like.

There is definitely a change in nature. But it's by the renewing your mind with the word of God and by the help of the Holy Spirit that you can live a holy life.

You're always holy and righteous to God though. Because God doesn't look at your actions. He relates with you based on the holiness of Jesus Christ.

God is a Spirit and you can only worship Him in spirit and in truth. Therefore God does not relate to you based on your outward deeds but by your righteous spirit. Which is why sin is no longer an issue between God and a born again Christian.

Therefore, being born again means being Right Doing Like Christ hence "Christ Like".

There was not ever a stage or time where Christ was never unChrist and unrighteous.

Thus, if you must be like Christ, you must very quickly jettison your unChristlikeness and become as He is, with no excuses and dragging of feet!

Since you need the word of God (spiritual food) to grow it follows that you can die spiritually if you don't eat the word of God. It's not compulsory for it to be everyday but if you don't do it daily you can easily neglect doing it. To me, being a Christian just means that you're born again. Being born again does not automatically make you like Christ in your words and actions. You have the righteousness of Christ though.

We're all striving to be like Christ in our thoughts and actions but I don't know anybody that has achieved it. Maybe you have sha, but you do know that Jesus Christ was sinless throughout His earthly ministry.

In the spirit we're exactly like Christ but for our mind and actions to be exactly like Christ takes time, if it's even possible. But that does not mean that a young believer that's still growing is not born-again.

Stop trying to establish your own righteousness and accept the righteousness of Jesus Christ. That's what makes you a Christian.

While going through a thread where a pastor turned into a babalawo, a lot of Christians were saying that he was never saved or he was never a serious Christian. While I will admit that it's very strange for a pastor to transition directly into a babalowo, its not impossible. And I sincerely hope that he was not a matured Christian because if he was, then it might be impossible for him to get restored. Since he didn't just commit a sin but he denied Jesus. I think that's in Hebrew chapter 6.

It's funny that some Christians think that you can get to a stage where you can't fall. The only situation where that is true is if your mind is totally stayed on God. Apart from that, any Christian can fall no matter how long the person has been a Christian and how mightily God has used him/her. And usually it happens gradually. It might look like he just became a babàlawo suddenly but a battle has been going on his in mind for some time. Unfortunately, satan won the battle in his mind and hence his life.

Let just continue to take heed lest we fall. 1corinthians10:12

As a Christian, always ensure that no day goes by without you reading the Bible and praying in tongues. Your mind has to always be stayed on God. I pray that God will keep us all in perfect peace.

Christianity EtcRe: What Pleases God? - Andrew Wommack by michaelwestern(m): 5:59pm On Jun 10, 2022
jiggaz:
During a Sunday morning service in St. Joseph, Missouri, a few years back, I asked the congregation how many of them really want to please God more than anything else. Every hand went up. Then I asked them, “How many of you think God is really pleased with you?” Out of at least 400 people, one 11-year-old boy and one 10-year-old girl raised their hands. That was all.

Very few believers actually believe that they are pleasing to God. Most feel some degree of forgiveness and maybe acceptance, but to think that the Lord is actually pleased with us is another matter. A person can choose to love you because of his or her own goodness, but to be pleased with you, they actually have to like your performance. Right?

With God, no one could ever be pleasing to Him based on performance. His standard is perfection, and no goodness on our part can ever compensate for our sins. We may please man with our actions, but “all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God” (Rom. 3:23). It takes the precious blood of Jesus to do that.

The way we receive the forgiveness that’s available through Jesus’ blood is by faith (Rom. 10:9-17). When we put our faith in Jesus as our Savior, we are pleasing God. Hebrews 11:6 says, “But without faith it is impossible to please him.”
Faith comes from the heart (Rom. 10:10), and God looks on the heart — not the actions (1 Sam. 16:7). Of course, God sees our actions and will deal with us about them, but only because they are inseparably linked to our hearts (Prov. 23:7). It’s our hearts that really concern God, and faith in Him (trust, reliance) is what He is searching the heart for.

A person whose actions are not right but who trusts the Lord is more pleasing to God than an individual who is doing the right things but has no faith in God. It’s not a case of those who act the best will get accepted, and those who act the worst get rejected. That would put some of the followers of other religions ahead of many Christians, but that is not what the Bible teaches.

This is exactly the point Paul is making in Romans 11:6: “And if by grace, then is it no more of works: otherwise grace is no more grace. But if it be of works, then is it no more grace: otherwise work is no more work.” That’s old English for saying, “It’s one way or the other but not a combination of the two.” We’re either saved by God’s grace through what Jesus did for us, or we’re saved by what we do without Jesus, but not a combination of the two. The choice should be the obvious.

Elijah is an example of a great man who lived a holy life and didn’t earn God’s pleasure with his actions. He made some serious mistakes. He ran in the face of persecution and became so depressed over it that he asked the Lord to kill him (1 Kin. 19). The Lord gave him three direct commands in an audible voice (1 Kin. 19:15-16), and Elijah never did two of them (refer to my teaching entitled “Elijah’s Downfall?”). Most people would think God couldn’t have been pleased with Elijah, yet Elijah was translated.

Even though our heart conditions influence our actions, we all fail in our performance to some degree. Elijah did. If God used performance as the basis of whether or not He was pleased with us, no one would ever pass the test. “If thou, LORD, shouldest mark iniquities, O Lord, who shall stand?” (Ps. 130:3).

Satan used to accuse me and say, “What makes you think God will use you?” The truth is that none of us are perfect, we don’t deserve the blessings of God. Now I put my faith in Jesus. It’s hard for some people to accept this. It has been ingrained in us that if we aren’t holy, God won’t bless us. When God looks at you, He doesn’t see your goodness — He sees Jesus.

If you’re walking in faith, you use faith as the rate of exchange between you and God. God is pleased with you even though your actions don’t measure up. Your life may be a wreck, but God is still pleased with you. Our religion says that is hypocrisy. On the contrary, the worst sin is self-righteousness — the attitude that God owes it to you because you’ve been good.

The difficult thing is that there are no role models for grace. Your employer hires you based on performance. The parent-child relationship is based on performance, even though it shouldn’t be. When it comes to God, your performance can’t earn you anything. If you sin, you need a savior. It is your faith in Jesus that will grant you access to God.

Most people accept this level of grace when it pertains to salvation. However, some of you may think that after you’re born again, God expects you to pray and study; and if you don’t do these things, God won’t bless you. After you are born again, it doesn’t change! Colossians 2:6 says, “As ye have therefore received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk ye in him.” When we are born again, we come to Jesus just as we are. In fact, if a person has a lot of sin, it’s even more reason to come to Jesus. When it comes to being healed, it’s a different story with most Christians. They think if you haven’t read your Bible today or you had a fight on the way to church, it will keep you from being healed. That’s a double standard. That’s saying that the way you approach God after you’re born again is different. Your actions may not please God today, but you can be healed or delivered in spite of it.

Some of you may think I’m advocating sin. I’m not — your actions are important to you. Your holiness is important because it changes your heart toward God and not God’s heart toward you. Unholiness will hurt you. Even though God will love you just as much, you won’t love God as much. It will harden your heart toward God. It’s like eating. You must eat to stay alive, but eating is not life. If you miss one meal, will you die? If you constantly live in sin and never feed yourself spiritually, it will kill you. I am not saying you should ignore your actions. You will never do everything perfectly, but don’t let it keep you from receiving the blessings of God.

Luke 22 shows us an example of someone who had faith and pleased God. In verses 31 and 32 Jesus is talking to Peter before the crucifixion. “And the Lord said, Simon, Simon, behold, Satan hath desired to have you, that he may sift you as wheat: But I have prayed for thee, that thy faith fail not: and when thou art converted, strengthen thy brethren.” Peter did blow it tremendously. He denied the Lord three times. He cursed and blasphemed God, and yet Jesus prayed that his faith wouldn’t fail. Jesus’ prayers were always answered. Peter’s actions failed, but not his faith. If Peter hadn’t repented it would have killed him. He was restored to God and went on to become a pillar of the church.

Some of you may be thinking, This is great — I can live like the devil and still get what I want from God.” If you think that, I’d say you aren’t born again, because a Christian wants to please God. This word is for Christians who have a desire to serve God but who still sin. When that happens, you go on and catch up and stand there with confidence in your Savior. Your faith in Jesus pleases God. None of us get saved and head straight on the path to God. We bounce around, but we’re still heading in the general direction.

“To the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein he hath made us accepted in the beloved” (Eph. 1:6). You do please God through your faith in Jesus as your Savior, and you must perceive that you please Him.

It might be difficult for you to believe but i listened to that message this morning where only 2 kids believed that they were pleasing God. It confirms Jesus Christ's teaching that you have to accept the kingdom of heaven like a child.

May God continue to bless andrew Wommack. It's nice meet other people that also listen to Andrew wommack.
Christianity EtcRe: How Will We Feel Pain In Hell. by michaelwestern(m): 5:48pm On Jun 10, 2022
kimco:
According to science, in the human body, the nervous system is responsible for feeling pain.

The bible claims that sinners will suffer forever in the burning lake of fire. And that the body will rot while the soul faces judgement.

Now my questions are simple:

1. Does the soul have a nervous system which is an attribute of the physical being?

2. If not, how are we to register the pain of hell forever.
You just have to accept the Bible as it is. If the Bible says that people will be tormented in hell, then one way or the other it will happen.

I don't believe in the big bang theory.

I don't believe in the existence of the universe.
How do you respond to this?

The God you pretend to believe still doesn't know you though.
The God you pretend not to believe in loves me and relates to me bro. You can also develop a relationship with God, I can show you how.

Dude, you know in your heart that there is a God and it's not you. Stop lying to yourself.
