danietohbadt:The more I think about it, the more I think i've really been served breakfast. |
Blunttruth:Thanks, that's what I plan to do. |
Image123:I don't know why you're mentioning Demas, the bible didnt even say that he left Christ, he only abandoned Paul because he probably wanted some "earthly comfort". That may have been wrong but I don't even think that it's a sin because he didn't abandon Christ. Or do you follow your pastor to every where he goes? Or have you seen Demas in hell? Judas also never got born again. Do you know what it means to be a born again Christian? The Bible said, "a certain man named Ananias". I don't think you know the difference between going to church and becoming born again. |
Kobojunkie:You misunderstood me. After she stopped responding on WhatsApp, the guy called and she picked. The problem is that before, both of them initiate contact. And they communicated everyday. Now, only the guy initiates contact. |
Image123:The Gospel is supposed to excite you. Do you know the meaning of the word, Gospel? It means good news. If somebody gives you good news shouldn't you be excited. If the "gospel" you received didn't excite you then it's not the true gospel. Now, sin does separate man from God but Jesus Christ has paid the price for sin. So sin is no longer an issue between a born again Christian and God. |
Righteousness2:My question to you that is supposedly not joking with sin is that are you holy? If your answer is yes, then good for you. But if it's no, then have you are accepted that you are most likely going to hell fire? Or is it just a game of chance to you? If rapture meets you in a holy state you go to heaven and if not you're going to hell fire. Is that the fate that you've accepted for yourself? |
Dtruthspeaker:I did not say that one has to live according to commandments to be accepted by God or to go to heaven. I said that it was beneficial to do so, there's a big difference between the two. For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to every one that believeth. Romans 10:4 This means that the works of the law can't make you righteous or holy and since without holiness no man can see God, this means that the works of the law cannot make you see God however, there are a lot of advantages to living according to the commandments of God. It helps you to avoid a lot of unnecessary stress and problems in life and it generally helps you to live a peaceful life as a Christian. But it does not qualify you for heaven. |
paxonel:Please read the OP again |
Dtruthspeaker:How do you know that they were really born again? And how do you know where they will end up? And you're totally missing my point, sin has negative consequences on earth. For example, if you commit fornication, you can contact an STD that can kill you but it doesn't mean that you won't go to heaven. That's my point. |
Righteousness2:I agree that after you get saved it is beneficial to live according to the commandments of God. But the way you do this is by fellowshipping with God, studying the word of God and allowing God to change your life, not by thinking that God is angry with you or condemning you anytime you commit sin, this belief puts Christians in bondage. As a Christian the ultimate goal of our life is to be in a state of perfect Communion with God, so I am not advocating that Christians should live in sin, but my point is that sin can not make you lose your salvation You can either make heaven by grace or by works but it can never be by grace plus works because that implies that Grace is not enough and the sacrifice of Jesus Christ is more than enough. Also believe me, if it is by works then nobody is going to heaven. And if by grace, then is it no more of works: otherwise grace is no more grace. But if it be of works, then is it no more grace: otherwise work is no more work. Romans 11:6 |
Righteousness2:I agree. Which is why I said that the only sin that will take people to hell is not believing in Jesus Christ and the sacrifice He made for sins. Righteousness2:They are sins, but Jesus Christ already paid the price for all of them. Righteousness2:I agree with the passage but it only applies to people who have not accepted the forgiveness for those sins. Like I said earlier, Jesus Christ already paid the price for all those sins, so the only condition under which any of those things will take anybody to hell fire is if they don't accept the forgiveness for the sins, then it can take them to hell fire. But once you get born again then those sins can't take you to hellfire. All your sins have been forgiven past, present and future. All you have to do is believe and receive the forgiveness for all those sins. |
It happened to me and not a friend I'm in a serious relationship with a lady for about 5 months now. From the beginning of the relationship until recently, they had regular communications with each other in form of WhatsApp chats everyday or phone calls when busy. They always replied each other's messages on WhatsApp without exception. The problem now is that communications has reduced drastically from her end, for example she has not replied a message he sent to her on WhatsApp for one week now, which has never happened before. Also for like 2 weeks now she has not called him, and has not initiate any conversation with him which is very odd The question now is, should he be worried or is it just the normal way that relationships slow down after a while? He has questioned her about it before, when it was not even this bad and her response was that she was busy. Thank you. Modified After reading the comments here and with everyone saying the same thing. I changed my approach and asked for her reasons for breaking up with me and she confirmed that the relationship is truly over. I'll try to stay away from relationships for now and focus on building my relationship with God. Nothing can be compared to the love of God. A big thank you to everyone that replied. We move on |
Conventional sins like; lies, murder, fornication etc do not take people to hell fire. The only sin that takes people to hell is the sin of not accepting the sacrifice of Jesus Christ. Every sin, past, present and future has been dealt with by the sacrifice of Jesus Christ, once and for all. When you get saved, your salvation is secured by the Holy Spirit and no sin whatsoever can make you lose your salvation and take you to hell fire. The only way that you can lose your salvation is by rejecting Jesus Christ. Sin can never make you lose your salvation. God has forgiven you of your sins, past present and future Now does this mean that you should go and live in sin? The Bible said God forbid. There are many negative effects of sin but losing your salvation is not one of them. Consistently living in sin can desensitize you to the things of the spirit to the point that you might actually deny Christ and lose your salvation but individual sins like murder, adultery, fornication can not and will never take anyone to hell or make you lose your salvation . Condemnation when we commit sin is one of the major tools that the devil use to keep us in the bondage of sin. The moment you are accept Jesus Christ as your lord and savior, sin is no longer a problem between you and God. For by one offering he hath perfected for ever them that are sanctified. Hebrew 10:14 Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith without the deeds of the law. Romans 3:28 Even as David also describeth the blessedness of the man, unto whom God imputeth righteousness without works, Saying, Blessed are they whose iniquities are forgiven, and whose sins are covered. Blessed is the man to whom the Lord will not impute sin. Romans 4:6-8 |
Error401:Please, what do you mean by forced married? |
mirexxx:Hi, can we chat? Just as friends ofcourse. |
bluefilm:America is evil. But Putin is good right? |
crisycent:There's a difference between being able to pass an English exam and knowing how to construct a grammatically correct sentence. A science student does not have any opportunity or incentive to learn English language in the university except for personal development. Just be grateful that you had the opportunity to learn it growing, i know you probably speak it at home with your parents and siblings. Some people were taught in primary school with their native tongues. |
crisycent:What has English got to do with master's? I'm confused, do they teach people English language in Universities apart from electives in 100 level. Just in case you don't know. What determines your proficiency in English is your formative years. You can just improve later, if you didn't attend a good pry and sec School, you are done for. It doesn't matter the university you attend except you decide to learn it on your own. My point is, it has nothing to do with your level of advanced education. |

Adeyeye09:Grieving the Holy Spirit is different from sinning against the Holy Spirit which the Bible said can't be forgiven. The unsaved people and even some Christians operate in unbelief but that does not mean that they cannot receive forgiveness from God |
lightblazingnow:This is misinformation, I get what you are trying to do but the issue of sinning against the Holy Spirit is too important for you to be trying to make indirect connections between Bible verses. For a very important subject like this, you should just say what the Bible says exactly not connecting anger to bitterness and hatred etc. What the Bible describes as sin against the Holy Spirit is when you attribute the works of the Holy Spirit to demons. Jesus Christ gave the warning about sinning against the Holy Spirit when people were accusing him using demonic powers to perform miracles thereby attributing the miracles to the devil instead of the Holy Spirit. Peace |
HashtagMoniker:Your statement can be right only if when the pope said "church", he meant the entire body of Christ. But I seriously doubt that, I believe he meant that you can't have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ outside the roman Catholic Church, which is false. |
italo:There are two ways that you can take that verse. 1. Jesus Christ gave the best power to forgive sins exclusively to the apostles alone or 2. He gave the power to every beleiver that is filed with the Holy Spirit. But you can't take this verse and use it to justify going to confess your sins to a priest |
chemystery:Giving you free will doesn't mean that there are no consequences to your actions. With free will comes the responsibility of making the right choices. And the Holy Spirits always convicts sinners whenever the gospel is preached, so deciding to ignore the conviction of Spirit leaves you without excuse. Take You for example, you have the opportunity of avoiding eternal torture simply by accepting Jesus Christ, no money or work involved but you choose to be arguing about free will and pharoah. |
frank317:It is God himself that made it easy for man to speak with Him. And that goes to show the kind of love that God has for us. Why not serve a God that good and generous? |
chemystery:It doesn't mean that God cannot change the minds of people forcefully but He who chooses to give everybody a free will. So God doesn't relate to us as robots. |
bloodofthelamb:Imagine o. |
