Religion / Re: What is Sin Against The Holy Spirit That Will Not Be Forgiven?? by michaelwestern(m): 10:00pm On Jul 14, 2018
Adeyeye09:
it's simply the sin of unbelieve....you grieve God mostly by your lack of faith in Him.
Many think it's fornication or murder which is the major sin but doubting what has been said by God is even greater!
The blasphemy against the Holy Ghost is counting God's word as trash and having zero faith in the Lord Jesus

Grieving the Holy Spirit is different from sinning against the Holy Spirit which the Bible said can't be forgiven.

The unsaved people and even some Christians operate in unbelief but that does not mean that they cannot receive forgiveness from God

Fools do not know that hatred is as a result of prolonged anger, they just want to enjoy letter..

Many never read through. They jumped to comment

This is misinformation, I get what you are trying to do but the issue of sinning against the Holy Spirit is too important for you to be trying to make indirect connections between Bible verses.

For a very important subject like this, you should just say what the Bible says exactly not connecting anger to bitterness and hatred etc.

What the Bible describes as sin against the Holy Spirit is when you attribute the works of the Holy Spirit to demons.
Jesus Christ gave the warning about sinning against the Holy Spirit when people were accusing him using demonic powers to perform miracles thereby attributing the miracles to the devil instead of the Holy Spirit. Peace

OP I think disagree with you on this, the title is misleading. In my understanding, what you posted as his actual speech does not seem to be as an extension of the title, it's more like that Bible passage that says "forsake not the fellowship of the brethren".

Your statement can be right only if when the pope said "church", he meant the entire body of Christ. But I seriously doubt that, I believe he meant that you can't have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ outside the roman Catholic Church, which is false.

grin and Jesus also gave the keys to the kingdom to "Peters confession" abi...keep fooling yourself alone.

It's in black and white, it doesn't need explanation:

John20:22 And with that he breathed on them and said, “Receive the Holy Spirit. 23 If you forgive anyone’s sins, their sins are forgiven; if you do not forgive them, they are not forgiven.”

Matt16:18 And I tell you, you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of Hades will not prevail against it. 19 I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven, and whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.”

There are two ways that you can take that verse. 1. Jesus Christ gave the best power to forgive sins exclusively to the apostles alone or 2. He gave the power to every beleiver that is filed with the Holy Spirit.

But you can't take this verse and use it to justify going to confess your sins to a priest

Is your god different from the one that hardened Pharaoh's mind so that he can go about on killing rampage?

Also, does your god send people to a place of eternal torture for using the gift of freewill? If Yes, then that's not free will!

Giving you free will doesn't mean that there are no consequences to your actions. With free will comes the responsibility of making the right choices. And the Holy Spirits always convicts sinners whenever the gospel is preached, so deciding to ignore the conviction of Spirit leaves you without excuse.

Take You for example, you have the opportunity of avoiding eternal torture simply by accepting Jesus Christ, no money or work involved but you choose to be arguing about free will and pharoah.

The way u guys talk sometimes...

If I tell u I was with Donald Trump yesterday I am sure most of u will start asking a lot of questions just because Donald is the president of USA. A lot will not take me serious, many will dig into the said conversation and ask reasonable questions just to be sure I am not lying. Many will want to know my history, what I do for a living and how I even got Donald's contact.

But u people freely open ur mouth to say you spoke with the creator and when asked same questions u would ask me if I told u I spoke with Trump, the questioner becomes labeled.

Making claim that u spoke to the creator is a huge claim. Much bigger than I claiming I spoke with Trump. It requires a huge prove. If u can't prove it better not say it rather make flimsy excuses when asked to prove ur claim.

If God exists... Speaking with him (given the way the world has been as we know it) would be one of the greatest phenomena to happen amongst us. Such individual must definitely poses certain characteristics like ability to fly, tell the future or even not die.

If I can't be just ordinary to see trump, u definitely can't be just supernatural to speak with the creator. U need to be extrasuperordinary to do this.

Sometimes I wonder if you guys take the God u claim to worship for granted. Look around you. Look at the heavens, study the galaxies and other planets, look at the sun, the endless universe, the moon, humans and everything under the water. Imagine how long the earth must have existed and how many people have lived on earth. now u tell me u speak with the creator of all these?

Please we are no kids here, don't joke with our intelligence.

It is God himself that made it easy for man to speak with Him. And that goes to show the kind of love that God has for us. Why not serve a God that good and generous?

It doesn't mean that God cannot change the minds of people forcefully but He who chooses to give everybody a free will. So God doesn't relate to us as robots.

There's nothing glamorous in forcing people to join the military. Some countries only do it because of their population and conflicts they are involved in. Israel has always had military conflicts. You cannot expect Nigeria with a high population and relatively peaceful except for internal conflict to be forcing people to take military training even usa doesn't do that.

not every thing you don't understand has to be demonic.
it happens to almost every one, it's just deja vu

I don't know why everyone is saying 'its just deja vu', like that explains it.

Is there a scientific explanation for deja vu?

Seeing the future regularly is not a normal thing, so you people should be trying to explain why and how it happens and not telling her the name they call it.

If the op should add another prophet to his, that would also make it two and I'm sure the prophecy would agree with the initial one. Which means the op's prophets would repel the prophecy of the mother's prophets.

It's not about numbers dear, neither is it about how many people are saying the same thing but it's about the truth. The best way to get the truth is to be our own prophet or to have a discerning spirit.

We really have to work on knowing God's will for ourselves. It's very very important especially in this era where there are lots of wolves disguised as shepherds. We must learn how to utilize the gift of the Holy Spirit and not let it be in vain.

You don't get my point. Am not talking about the right or wrong prophet. I just want to know how you can explain two separate prophets, who don't know each other, saying the same thing about the issue.

The truth is most of us who are Christians are not in the level we should be spiritually so we mostly need others like priests of old, to see and hear from God for us. Most of us are just too busy with unnecessary things so I wouldn't blame those who depend a lot on "prophets".

The solid foundation of my relationship with God is not dependent on going to church but on intentionally spending time with God when I'm alone and when no one's looking. Thanks to my mum who sparked up the fire from my babyhood grin

But how do you explain the fact that two different prophets saw the same thing?

Bullfuckingshit. Obviously u have been reading your bible upsidedown. People who spoke in tongues in the bible were understood by other people speaking the language. It was a physical language. Keep speaking your rubbish shekeroboroboshikishaka and be calling it tongues. You can only deceive yourself. Clowns called modern Christians.

1Co 14:2 For he that speaketh in an unknown tongue speaketh not unto men, but unto God: for no man understandeth him; howbeit in the spirit he speaketh mysteries.

1Co 14:4 He that speaketh in an unknown tongue edifieth himself;

1Co 14:14 For if I pray in anunknown tongue, my spirit prayeth, but my understanding is unfruitful.

There are times when speaking in tongues is just personal prayers to God through the Holy Spirit.

Jude 1:20 But ye, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holyfaith, praying in the Holy Ghost.

Vs 14! No man should leave his hair long like a woman's but should have it shaved. The covering is long hair or woman type of hair. It's shameful for a man to rock such grin

Please I will appreciate it if you can state in clear terms whether you believe a man should always shave his hair to skin before going to church.

Are you saying it is okay for one party to have faith and the other doesn't neccessarily need to have??

The most important thing is for faith to be involved, which ever party has the faith. But faith is most effective in healing when both parties have faith.

Uncovered head is a shaved one, to skin most likely, for the woman it signifies humiliation, dishonour and maybe revolt over something. In the Igbo culture, women are subjected to that during mourning for late husbands.
Paul assertion is that the head should be covered and God made provision for that with the hair. Vs 15 of I Corin 11 answers your question. American Pentecostals gave the interpretation to that long time ago, away from the position of Orthodox/ Catholic That's right
and there shouldn't be debate about that because it is simple and plain.
When you see a woman inside the Church building shaved to skin without a covering or a man with his cap on his head except he has a long hair which is his dishonour, then you can make a simple case out of it. Whatever you chose make out of it, it is not part of the Hell requirements. That's no one goes to Hell because of it because it is just a tradition, among the very few recommended in the new testament.

But sir with this your explanation does it mean that every man has to shave to skin before going to church, because verse 4 says

"Every man praying or prophesying, having his head covered, dishonoureth his own head."

If she has long hair or a weave on, what's the need wearing a veil or head tie again. Isn't the hair already covering her head undecided

I just quoted that verse to show that paul was talking about physical hair.

How do you explain verse 5&6

"But every woman that prayeth or prophesieth with her head uncovered dishonoureth her head: for that is even all one as if she were shaven. 6  For if the woman be not covered, let her also be shorn: but if it be a shame for a woman to be shorn or shaven, let her be covered."

A man marrying only one wife is a man who aspire for the office of a bishop and not the woman.

Dude, if the pastor is preaching the word of God then she has to rate it above that of her husband. The word of God is supreme over the word of anybody.

Hmmm, you just managed to talk about a very controversial issue without clarifying your own stand. Am sure you know that there are many versions of the "grace message", so please let us know your own.

Then about balancing, I believe it is very important because some people do take the grace message as a licence to sin. So it is very important to always condemn sin even while preaching the grace message.

Then please, its off topic but if it applies to you, please comment on my thread

An unsentimental person wont call daddy Adeboye a predator.

Calling him a predator already shows that he has a bias against him.

About the statement, daddy Adeboye didn't say that no woman is better than his wife. The person you're supporting made a personal interpretation of the statement but is refusing to accept the conclusion anybody else draws from the statement, that is sentiment.

So that means you're sending the devil on errand and indirectly entering into partnership with him. The problem with this is that the devil will also use the opportunity to afflict you with the same curse.

So please be careful when placing curses on people, most times you end up short changing yourself. Peace.
