I say 'mild' because I wasn't aggressive or abusive or anything like that. I didn't respond to the idiotic comments about this "short devil aunty" who was 'bullying' a 'Finster'. I moved on to other things and left the Finsters to continue their ass kissing convention. You sniff my ass and I sniff yours...and then we...Fin hug!

About a month later, I realized I was no longer seeing their cringey posts on my timeline, and I checked, only to discover they had kicked me out. I was like "good riddance". If it took me a whole month to notice I was no longer in their group, then it goes to show how utterly useless they were in the scheme of my internet life.

I am happy you mentioned the issue of full disclosure. Any good lawyer would make you see that refusal to disclose fully all features could be seen as a deliberate attempt to 'scam'. The semantics can be visited and analysed but the truth stands apart.

In purchasing technology be it soft or hard, there are usually some very specific details which in the majority of cases are secondary to the everyday peripheral user.

Let's take the case of a Smart T.V for instance, the varied and many features make it very difficult for a regular like like me to decide what I want so my best bet is inclining to age and price which may not be the case.

In buying stuff from here I must say that the adverts and the antecedence of the seller is a good indication of how fluid the transaction will be. People go the whole way in describing their product and stating the negatives. That is what is called integrity...which unfortunately some of us lack.

You for instance sell doors. Are you aware that many people who seek to buy doors from you in the future will conduct a little research by reading your previous posts? I would most definitely not part with my hard earned money just by reading one very loud sentence you made up there...or perhaps will only pay you after delivery and installation followed by due certification.

By the second time, you could have been wiser and being specific about your choices and still you didn't. The man is not in any way a scammer. You bought something from him and he gave you what he was selling. If he had not given you any phone or gave you a non functional phone that is when he will be a scammer.
You bought a used phone from him and you selected the phone yourself according to his own account and I didn't see you deny that.
Since the phone was on when you were selecting, you would have checked to see that all you needed was in it before you made payment.
If were to be a new phone and after getting home you discovered it can't stream YouTube do you think they will take it back and refund you after using the phone for some days??

The business world is very different from the corporate world you guys are used to.

Before I buy something, I will ask for the model then spend hours on Google and YouTube. I spent days or even months raising the funds to make the purchase. It's only reasonable that I spend time on research before I buy.

Here's what I do, I don't buy items whose manufacturing date exceeds two years especially for electronics. Those stuff are always unreliable even fresh out of factory. I will visit Quora and read reviews about it and I will subtly follow the seller to see if he or she has courted controversy before now.


But you guys won't do all these and that's why you will keep coming here crying foul of being scammed.

You can't be too careful so you can even go beyond the above method I have been using

I boy two AC last year he put 1yrs guarantee on it after a while it stopped working (5 months later) one of them l, I didn't bother to return it o called a repair man to check it and replace whatever might be the issue. On getting to my house we discovered he sold 1hp instead of 2hp

Na so I go him shop he disagreed saying it's 6 months I should have come earlier, even after I had my receipt with me as proof and chat of the transaction.

I didn't say anything na so I enter barracks went to see the army OGA no those their boys oo, paid 30k he gave me a truck with four boys got to his shop picked him up he was on the guard room for two days...
After two days he called me to beg and refunded my 30k for the army, the gas i filled for the 1hp, the 2hp gas i was going to fill, and my fuel money for going and coming...
Mind you I gave the army the 30k he gave to me and I didn't return the 1hp AC.

Mind you it was in a big market of electronic in Iwo road in Ibadan here....

I have been following this thread silently and I didn't want to say anything at first but it seems this issue is still lingering.
From the chats and conversation from the both parties, I think what happened was that the woman bought the phone from him and when she discovered that it didn't serve her purpose she complained to the man and he changed it. Then after some time she came again with another complain and this time around she make the selection herself as she told the man she's tech savvy and can make the selection herself and this is where she shot herself in the leg. Then afterwards she said the phone couldn't do YouTube and the man should give hera higher version phone and she will top the money for him. I don't think the man has the higher version and obviously, admitting that he doesn't have a higher version would mean the woman requesting for refund. And then the man will lose home and abroad.
Now, if the woman had gone to computer village to buy that phone and changed it the first time and comes back the second time, they wouldn't listen to her and if she asks for a higher version, they may hold her money and tell her that they will inform her to come collect whenever they have it. It could take months and she might eventually have to go with the one she picked herself.
The man would have used this strategy instead and the issue would have been resolved since.
Please you guys should count it all as an experience, both the seller and buyer. And to those who has tagged the man as scammer should please bring down your post.
