it happened that the site in question was a hill and it was levelled. So most of the sand I packed out were sandfill from the hill. So the engineer asked that I keep digging until I get the natural soil after which I started digging proper foundation

Here's one thing that happened to a site I worked at. So after doing the foundation of a tank stand, the engineer came around and inspected. He called me back and told me that the foundation wasn't deep enough. I have already done about 2m deep already the explained to me how the soil I'm standing on was. His recommendation was simple,do a another foundation and this time,we went almost 7m deep into the ground. It came at a very significant financial cost to the engineer and me but we did it cause safety and not "smart" was very important to us both.

I mean foundation, building size, material used etc that they had to go back to the foundation after getting to the first floor slab.

Guess what? They didn’t rubbish the job. They fixed it at a huge cost to the owner of the project who happens to be the owner of the estate.

I was on a project all of you worked on. We fixed stuffs and I never bothered rubbing it on you except money121 because I know it might come at extra cost to the client and he send his guys to fix it. No noise!

You seem to have forgotten ordinary door issue here you got it wrong and you’re here to rub your mouth against someone who have to deal with more than 50 components of a building.

at the bolded, this is exactly why you build sinking houses. In your bid to cut corners and being "smart" , you will rather build a structure on a shallow ground without adequate foundation thereby burying your client home under water.

PS,if I get to a site and it requires that I bury a whole 20m into the ground to get required solid ground that will handle the weight of my tank stand, I will do exactly that. I will rather not be "smart" and "wasteful" than to build something that will sink into the ground thereby risking the lives and property of my clients who sweated to pay me for the job.

If you can't handle "over 50 components" of a building and deliver, kindly stick to one component. You can simply remain an internet engineer who will give freely advice instead of dragging your clients through this type of mess back to back.

As for my door issues, I thank you for your help and I learnt my lessons and became better unlike you that haven't learnt a single thing since over a decade.
