iamlegend: I don't really know much about Linguistics, but as an under grad and a student of mass communication, I can say mass comm. Is a great discipline. People who don't really know much about it tend to limit it. Once they hear mass comm, the only thing that crawls into their mind is news casting and journalism, but mass comm. Is a lot broader than that. There are endless possibilities in mass communications too, for those who feel mass comm is limited, I feel they should get their facts straight. If you ask me, I'd say Mass Comm has a wider job prospect in Nigeria than Linguistics. you for criticize the course were u day study before?abeg leh mi hear word. |

victorv12: Some of these Nigeria girls, they don't have any courtesy at all. They form over nothing! Can you imagine trying to approach a girl and being civil and eventually being looked down as if you're one broke a*s b*stard!
Maybe it's because our enviroment is hash or majority of them are not just properly trained. I called them chicken eaten girls. Majority of them, when you take them out, even when they have some decent grub on the menu list, it's always chicken they always gunning for! I wonder why they love eaten chicken...they can consume anything. They must stop that chop chop mentality...it's so disgusting!
Again, trying to explore their sexuality, you must fight before they give in. Even for them to satisfy you sexually, they must show themselves so that you won't have any negative impression about them being cheap. I wonder why they are like that.
Another one, when a guy isn't mobile, that one can be so painful! Haaa! Any guy that doesn't have a car in Nigeria is in soup! The way our sisters stair at guys when they're rolling in their ride...mennn! They instantly bone their faces if they're with guys that are not mobile, and starts showing some crazy attitudes to our lovely brothers because they ain't mobile.
Nigeria girls are vultures! They use religion, money and class to judge you! My advice to my brothers, don't ever have any funny impression in mind that you can change these our sisters. The moment you're in love and fall for the scam that you can change a mad girl to be a decent and a responsible house wife, know that you're in it. Most of them doesn't want to be changed.
Again, do you noticed some of them loved to be beaten! When you're arguing with them and they'll approach you and they will be like, slap me nau! slap me nau! 9ja girls are crazy ooo!
Abeg, our sisters try loosen up!! You're the only apple in our eyes! Your gra gra is too much! LMAO.....HAHAHAHAHAhahahahahaa..nairaland so so funny..different characters. |
Christianity Etc › Re: Do Dreams Affect Our Reality? by Mickeywilliams(m): 8:09am On Sep 09, 2013 |
Billyonaire: When you say "myself", you actually mean 'my' 'self'. In simple terms, "self that belongs to you".
That self, call it, your dream body. So, when you are lying on a bed and you see yourself in a dream. You are in 2 places at the same time. One On Bed and another in the dream land.
Sometimes, what we think of doing, has already been registered in the mind, which acts as server now, and the robotic mind engineers you to carry it out, and in the event of resistance due to physical laxity, then the dream body carries or acts it out. That's understandable. Thats the limit of science's definition of dreams, using the terms conscious and sub-conscious mind, thats accurate, but we have deeper dreams, ethereal in nature.
But talking about dreams, this is a state at which humans in physical, is able to converse with the ethereal via the dream body.
Some dreams are not memorable, because the dream sensors blurt it out intentionally or out of our negligence, but dreams can be reconstructed, yes, with practice.
In summary, dreams have effects on our lives, we can chose to ignore it, but doesnt make it less effective. Whether you believe in Gravity or not, when you jump up, you must come down crashing.
By the way, my grandmum, visited me in the dream the exact moment, she gave up. I never knew she was even sick, so I was not expecting it, but I remember calling home exactly after midnight to tell my dream to mum, and she says "we are here at her bedside, she just passed".
Many more dreams I could write a book about. i'd love to learn the art of dreaming..When was much younger i used to have a lotta dreams and believe me you they manifest physically..i'll give an example..i dreamt about a fight with somebody the previous night before school..got to school the next day and lo some dude was trying to pick a fight with me.I had to act on my dream to avert the fight..if not hmmm maybe something we don't wanna know might have happened....but somewhere along the line i lost it..dunno for sure but i hardly dreamt it became sporadic and gradually came to a halt!yes i can't remember when last i dreamt.Did i lose the ability?yet to find an answer. But any ways with which i can revive my dream life will be very welcome..OH! I MISS THOSE DAYS..My mom is particularly gifted in this art..She dreams a lot and she's got this remote sensing ability..sometimes she would tell me things that gets me shaking when they eventually come to pass..jeez wish i could be like her..bottom line..I need by Gift back. |

Trafford: okay, so last year, you put in for Engineering, you were given.
This year, you put in for Medicine.. You got 295 (PPT.. I didn't see a single soul with such). In postume.. U got 71. Aggregate 72.
You claim to be an 'Medicine aspirant' on this thread but an 'Engineering student' in other threads.
Even when a post about that lecturer in 'your department' was made.. You debunked their claims saying the guy was still lecturing in the school. Until someone countered you with the question 'Aren't you guys on strike?'
but you jokingly said 'yes, but U haven't been in school in abt 2weeks'..meaning unsure if he stills lecture or not. If I rememba correctly, the strike has been on for more than 2weeks! Well, let's say you didn't leave immediately.
Wait o! According to you, U were in school for some weeks afta d strike n U maybe you 'saw'..hence,you knw he stills lectures.
But doesn't that mean he was still lecturing DURING THE STRIKE
Whereas, it's said that Uniben sacked those lecturers BEFORE the strike but only released their names last night.
Even when I asked my question.. 'are you a student or an aspirant?' you simply chose 'aspirant'. Honestly, if I were you, I'd answer 'both'.. It wasn't like my question was a mere.. 'are you an aspirant?'but there was a 2nd option attached. Which you would have went for as well.
I'm sorry if you feel I'm accusing you of anything ..I'm not, but every sane individual would seen these claims about you as 'fishy'
I'm sorry..really, your claims maybe true..but honestly, I just had to look into your case cuz of the incredible scores you were posting, you had 72 aggregate, U have a friend who had 78 aggregate..abi..smthing like that..
These scores would undoubtedly scare the Medicine aspirants especially those with 60-something aggregate who are atleast hoping their names would be in the Merit list ....Is that what you are here for? To scare them?
Once again, I'm sorry.. I maybe wrong tho' .. Truly sorry.
N I hope this isn't going down as an epistle? yea now u get it of course any sane individual will suspect something fishy that's why i tendered an explanation but the other guy was saying something annoying and i had to react!..yes i had that score and i only told that of my friend when someone asked for 'highest scope seen by anyone' so don't get the impression i'm trying to intimidate anyone or show off! For the strike issue the guy was still around by the time of the strike and i was still in school well into the strike so thats why i replied that he was still lecturing. The truth will be revealed though when school resumes. I wish everyone who passed a successful admission..thanks for ur understanding bro |

sylvalord: I was going thru d 2012/2013 thread and i saw something dat realy inspired me and am gonna share it with u guys. I saw a guy with a screening score of 38 and aggreg8 of 51 and dis guy got admitted to his first choice course in first batch.. Naw thr were pple with higher scores gunning 4 d same course.. But some had their courses changed or not admitted.. The guy didnt use runs.. He affirmed dat it was purely by the grace of God.. So what am saying is that no matter hw high ur score is, dnt be so confident and no matter how low ur score is dnt feel agitated or downcast.. Jst pray to our ALMIGHTY GOD who is d cheif admission officer, vc and owner of every institution.. Put ur hope on God and u will av a testimony when d list comes out.. Dnt rely on ur scores, instead pray and av faith in God.. And also live a sin-free life. And if ur course is changed pls do not reject it.. It might jst be God's choice 4 u.. As 4 me, i av decided to put aside every anxiety and cast all my cares upon the LORD because all of my help comes 4rm d lord.. I dnt knw abt u . . . . Sowie 4 d long post.. Here's a potato and some palm wine to wash it down u're right bro last year when i wrote for engr i had 59 and afraid cos some of my peers had above 60..but was admitted..though m contemplating leaving. |
