beardedboy:Please don't mention Buhari here! The suffering we are going through today was caused by the man who served for 8 solid years and has nothing to show for it. A monumental failure. Look at all the Rotimi Amaechi's railworks media campaign, why is Ogbomoso = Ilorin road leading to the North still blocked with trailers? We can't transport anything on the Buhairi/ Amaechi rail line. |
yoruboid:Trouble shooter! |
TheFreshVanilla:You obviously have no home training, calling someone slowpoke for the sake of his opinion? Some of you genzy come online to insult people as old or older than your father slowpoke? So very sad. |
Can we get her Nigerian relatives to advise this girl to stop talking rubbish. She's been talking too much lately and this may cause her irreparable downfall. A fool say in her heart there's no God. Wait a minute, did she really make that statement? |
I am not a member of Pastor Adeboye's RCCG Church, but I feel highly insulted as a Christian when anti-Christian e-warriors attacked him, especially on Nairaland. When you say, " his prayers were not being answered......." I feel perplexed if you know the risk of mocking a man of God. All of you criticizing this man must know this, if it were not for the answer to prayers in this country, our crisis would perhaps be worse than Ukraine: Russia by now, you probably wouldn't even have access to electricity talkless of the charged phone to attack a Christain leader as you will be busy trying to find a place to hide from bomb and gunshots. Pastor Adeboye and his RCCG have helped put Nigeria on the global map and have contributed more to Nigeria's progress than some armchair critics looking for a Christian leader to attack. If you don't know, Nigeria is the international HQ of RCCG with a presence in several countries globally. It is one thing for us to pray, it is completely at the discretion of the almighty God to answer in his own time in his way. If the politicians keep operating without the fear of God, it is still our responsibility to pray for them and leave the judgment in the hands of the God that rules men's affairs. If you say "Many people have stopped going to church", perhaps you are talking about yourself, I can say very many people are still going to church to seek his face and God is still in the business of answering prayer, no matter how bad our situation may appear as a people and a country. I would like to humbly appeal to Nairalanders not to join people using derogatory words against Christian leaders. Stop saying they are not men of God. Allow God to take care of that because if you join in attacking someone that God is happy with, the Supreme Court of this word will not be able to bail you out when your punishment comes like a storm. Sterlingdgreat:The only way to truly understand Christianity is to have experential salvation/born again. People argue because they don't have the true spirit of God to confirm the word of God to them. READ this portion of Malachi 3 6 For I am the Lord, I change not; therefore ye sons of Jacob are not consumed. 7 Even from the days of your fathers ye are gone away from mine ordinances, and have not kept them. Return unto me, and I will return unto you, saith the Lord of hosts. But ye said, Wherein shall we return? 8 Will a man rob God? Yet ye have robbed me. But ye say, Wherein have we robbed thee? In tithes and offerings. 9 Ye are cursed with a curse: for ye have robbed me, even this whole nation. 10 Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the Lord of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it. 11 And I will rebuke the devourer for your sakes, and he shall not destroy the fruits of your ground; neither shall your vine cast her fruit before the time in the field, saith the Lord of hosts. 12 And all nations shall call you blessed: for ye shall be a delightsome land, saith the Lord of hosts. 13 Your words have been stout against me, saith the Lord. Yet ye say, What have we spoken so much against thee? 14 Ye have said, It is vain to serve God: and what profit is it that we have kept his ordinance, and that we have walked mournfully before the Lord of hosts? 15 And now we call the proud happy; yea, they that work wickedness are set up; yea, they that tempt God are even delivered. 16 Then they that feared the Lord spake often one to another: and the Lord hearkened, and heard it, and a book of remembrance was written before him for them that feared the Lord, and that thought upon his name. 17 And they shall be mine, saith the Lord of hosts, in that day when I make up my jewels; and I will spare them, as a man spareth his own son that serveth him. 18 Then shall ye return, and discern between the righteous and the wicked, between him that serveth God and him that serveth him not. |
Cost of conversion? |
THE BIG QUESTION IS WILL IT BE POSSIBLE FOR CONVERTED VEHICLES TO ALSO USE PMS WHEN THEY FEEL LIKE? THAT IS, WITH THE CONVERSION CAN THE VEHICLES CHOOSE BETWEEN PMS AND CNG TO POWER THEIR ENGINES? |
Edo no be Lagos. Edo will soon be Lagos now if either of the PDP or APC candidate win. Obaseki has changed philosophy now , he want to be a God father to PDP candidate, right? |
The unfortunate thing about this issue now is that her foolish action will start making other tribes in Nigeria and even foreigners to hate Igbos. She obviously didn't think about the implications of this before she started. Thousands of good Igbo men and women will start experience hatred without supporting her foolish action. We should please stop hating, tribalism etc. How do you want children born to parents of both Yoruba/Igbo or Igbo/Bini to feel. This woman and her type across tribes should not be spear appropriate punishment to serve as deterrent to like minds. |
[quote author=Phraences post=131375053]The naira does not have value so the analysis is trash. Defenders of this govt will never cease to amaze me. Make people leave work come dey farm cos of bad governance. [/quCan you look beyond politics and talk economics? Did I hear you say the Naira is worthless and you still spend the worthless Naira as means of exchange? As if someone give you the worthless Naira you won't collect it? Hypocrisy of the highest level. One of the ways to fight the skyrocketing inflation is through massive food production. |
CodeTemplar:Excellent analysis. This is the way to think . Even if the price should crash you are still sure of making some profit if you invest in farming. Except for the security issue, this is a great business opportunity. |
As I do not support the protest, Mr President, you should cut your salary and direct the national assembly members to cut their salary. You can't be living in luxury while the citizens are hungry. You brought Buhari who destroyed the economy so, you have to clean up the mess. |
Something in me is telling me Dangote will win this battle. Don't give us guy, if a man like you quits, then millions of Nigerians looking up to you to have their hope dashed. Fight on, Nigeria belongs to all of us. |
Arostar2023:Naija man, you trust Oyinbo more than your country's people. Who told you Oyinbo can't be compromised? They are all human |
AngelicBeing:Don't forget that The late Bayero, the current Bayero and Sanus Lamido Sanusi are from the same family |
schekubeh:Looks more like a worshipper's attack |
The court should give a ruling, directing IGP to order his arrest from Government House and hand it over to EFCC to produce in the court. YB is a senior thief. |
The delay in the reconstruction of the road by either FGN or Ogun state government is the height of insensitivity as far as am concerned. A road that many leading manufacturing firms in Nigeria pay tax daily has been left to dilapidate. I pray and hope the affected authority will wake up and complete the project soon. |
Yahaya Bello is really a very bad politician. How come now one is defending him even the people that stole Kogi dry with him. I sincerely hope this man will beade to serve his full term in prison. The Judiciary, it is up to you to salvage Kogi State. |
RhinoChest:I think he doesn't really.need to be an engineer. He should work closely with trusted and intelligent engineers on thei ministry that understands the issues and solutions. |
Validated:Be careful what you wish for your country, you must know evil wishes is capable of hunting you. God Bless Nigeria |
Racoon:If you say Nigeria has failed, it means the North has failed Nigeria after producing leaders like Buhari, Abacha, IBB etc that destroyed Nigeria. |
Ogiame:Committing sin?! |
yinkabeauty:Thank you for your objective analysis, I only differ in perspective. Democracy unlike Military rule is a slow process, USA has practice democracy for over 200years ,yet they had issue during the last election, thankfully, they have strong institutions that could address issue created by Donald Trump. Taki g a historical excursion of our polity, the military disrupted the 1st Republic, alleged corruption, however, they were not better in any way as far as corrupt practices is concerned, Gowon was accused of corruption by Muritala Mohamed (MM) and the greed for political power and domineering tendencies led to a counter coup that killed MM. Then Obasanjo (OBJ ) got power. Now you must recognise the fusion of executive+Legislative function in supreme military council whichade it possible for them to create states, reallocate resources or redistribute it, etc. Military abused those functions because it was concentrated in the hands of few people having parochial interests. North had unusual advantage over the South in allocation of power and resources. More states created from the North, fiscal federalism on which the country agreed to at independence was jettisoned by Ironsi making states that are less productive to share Federal favour equally with more productive states. Independence was agreed to in 1960 on a tripod of North,East and West, today the Moth has 3 Geo Political Zones as the entire South , allocating more negotiation power to the North than West and East. Is that fear? Reason, the military boys were from North. Check Abacha and IBB and the nos of state created by them or LGA. When OBJ came back as civilian, the country was at the brink of distingration due to heightened political and economic tension. National debt was as bad as today with FGN using external FX revenue to service debts, not able to embark on developmental projects. Our external reserve was paltry $3b Military abandoned capital projects under Abacha and I could remember clear Abdularim Adisa say FGN will require World Bank Loan to repair Ibadan -Ilorin Road, OBJ started finalising it without borrowing a dime. GDM was started by Abacha,it failed and OBJade it work, Abacha abandoned Ajaokuta Iron and Steel company that would have placed Nigeria on word map as an Industrial and Technical power , he stole the money that would have been used to pay the USSR expatriate, a project that was 98% completed under IBB. So, it is not true that Military is better than civilian. They are both human, highly susceptible to corruption, the only difference is that I dear civilian, you can talk and point accessing fingers at the thieves, under the Military, you can have the likes of Buhari decree 4, IBB letter bomb to Dele Giwa or or be killed like Yatfua Musa or jailed awaiting death like OBJ under Abacha for condemning the ruling Power corrupt practices. The way out, let'sake democracy work, separation of power, practical, restructure based of foundation at independence, true fiscal federalism, state police, etc Thank you |
ussv:I am more worried about the consequences of having a failed state as our neighbor. The Niger Republic is failing fast and the Idiots in uniform parading themselves as leaders may not suffer as much as the masses. Another disturbing issues is many Nairalanders hailing the coup plotters. Anyone with a good sense of history in Nigeria will readily know the military led us to where we are today. Starting from Buhari that ended the Second Republic.Abacha his friend has been the worst to date |
madfind:She's looking for cheap popularity leveraging on current hardship. Yes situation is bad but Nigeria will be great again. We need messages of hope not hopeless messages in trying times like this. |
Our mid-field killed us, the followed by a defence error. Perhaps Nwabali should have moved out to intercept the ball before it got to the scorer of last goal. Mid-field it was that nailed us, we played defensive game all through and Oshimem was rendered useless because he didn't get good ball passed. |
The crew not providing her contact details for sharing? Please be strong it can be a traumatic experience. |
I am from the geographical Northern Nigeria, I am strongly in support of the move. It is a saving strategy. CBN has an excellent office space in Lagos what the grumbling staff are running away from is the traffic and cost of accommodation in Lagos but most of them have a house in Abuja already. Come and use your transfer money to buy land at Lekki. |
This man is troublesome but I like his determination to succeed and deliver projects. I love you guy. |
chisomkachy:The enemies of Nigeria are after the best minister in BAT administration. People who are against the reform this man is implementing in the immigration service will come after him. Sad, so sad that Nigerians have a way of pulling down the good people for selfish reasons. Just check the dramatic changes in the Immigration service since this man became minister of the Interior, the extortionists were silenced and the reform made them irrelevant. I hope BAT will look beyond this baseless accusation and allow the man to continue with the good work he is doing for the helpless masses. |
