No propaganda... even if you question... Yoruba go b the first to attack you... and defend the evil party..

Nigeria is observing the corruption of the Nigeria Saints

Apc is demonic... and this is a farewell party. .. we know the don’t know

Don't be tribalistic, it's not only Yoruba people that said GEJ Government was corrupt. Yes,I agree with you that APC now under GMB GMB appears more corrupt that PDP, but it doesn't make PDP under GEJ a saint either.
Remember, some of us that criticized GRJ are regretting it today, that does not make us evil either, we only desired something better for our country and that is the reason we won't give GMB respite.

We, lovers of our country must keep looking for the best candidate for this country.

Isn't it confounding that you know you are a failure? The next thing is you wish to change your narrative before end of your term that Nigerians are praying should end like yesterday?

Yours is already the worst since independence, even Abacha's appears better than yours. Keep dividing us and taking our money to fix Niger Republic. History won't be kind to you.

This man, Professor Ishaq Akintola should be investigated. To think that he is regarded as a Yoruba man gives me much concern. I hope the Muslim groups in Nigeria will deny this man. How are we sure he's not a terrorist? Honestly, Lagos State Government and LAsu urgently need to disengage him and hand him over for DSS to investigate. Even the NPC is calling for the trial of the "repentant Terrorists" how comes this one is asking for waste of public funds on people that have turned arms against the country, killing our military men?

Much as I like Gaduje, this man keeps getting into the wrong side of public opinion. This time around, his Islamic police are stepping beyond bound. Now, some sections of the North are opposed to Amotekun, a state police set up to fight crime, how do we explain the unrestricted harassment of ladies in their hostel/hotel? They did not only take bribes, they raped some? If this report is true, honestly the Governor and all the top-ranking officers of that extremist police body need to taste jail.

Perhaps you should debunk my comments with statements of fa ts that the Abdullah lead government is not breeding extremism with his policy. The earlier we confront our fear the best for us collectively. When BH started in Bornu, FGN initially treated the matter carelessly, by the time the FG became serious, the situation has gone out of hands. History have a funny way of repeating itself.

3... in d deed it was clearly stated dat nobody should build church on d said land
4... am a woman...
Should i forget abt it.... or look for somewhere outside my residence area.... location is (kwara state) thanks

Kwara state is fast becoming a potential breeding ground for religious extremism under the current Governor. Imagine the extraneous condition that the building of a Church is not allowed in an area in Nigeria. Isn't this the way the North metamorphosized into terrorism?
Now if Christians start demarcating areas for themselves and mandating Muslims and mosques are not allowed, won't it be easier for us to explode into religious violence like we often experience in Kaduna.

God will not hold the current Govenor gulitless for planting this seed of discord.

Yes, I like Ambode, his only sin is not his offence against Tinubu's empire, he allowed his wife to out-step her bound in the house of God. That to me is what cost him the second term. When God elevates you. BE VERY CAREFUL WHEN DEALING WITH ANY OBJECT NAMED AFTER GOD. Always look beyond the people there and honour God of heaven. Most of the people supporting MNK outside the Igbo race in Nigeria today are Yoruba, not even Niger Delta. You don't expect everybody in Yoruba land to support him anyway considering the various unprintable name-calling to the Yoruba race by him.

Again, why are the Ohanesze not supporting or protecting MNK? Did Yoruba people stop them. I am happy an average Igbo man does not share your view. What is even my own on this matter?

There must be a way to report the PSP operators that are not clearing waste as and when due.

It is unfortunate that the operator covering Ikosi at Oluyombo street has not cleared waste for a whole month and will come to collect a month 'payment. Isn't this extortion? Why punish us to leave with waste and still force us to pay for services not rendered?

A more provocative thing is their arrogant way of ordering residents around.

Perhaps it is time to declare the Sultan seat a terrorist seat after all, their progenitor came killed the Hausa king and installed Emirate with Sultan heading it. Once that is done , all the appendages of the Emirates structure like Myetti Allah,Northern Elders Forum must be declared terrorists and abolished. Warrant nonsense!

Igboho and his lawyers are not smart.. If he is repatriated to Nigeria, Buhari can't do anything to him than to put him in prison while his court case go on, within 6 months he would be granted bail and life goes on.

Should he decides to remain in Benin, FG would only pressurize Benin republic to enact their law about the fake documents Igboho used to obtain Benin Republic passport.. No way he won't spend 5 years in Benin prison.

Common sense shouldn't only be common in this case, it should always be available..

Poor analysis not based on facts. Igboho did not use any fake documents. At least I watched a live interview of his Prof Lawyer where he said he was caught with a Nigerian passport, was arrested because Nigeria has submitted his name to interpol. What exactly are you trying to say? Shut up so that the stealing by APC will continue? Yes,PDP may not be clean but at this point we need everyone to expose the monumental fraud going on under GMB administration. I know some PDP elected officers may also be stealing but objective should be to expose and make all thieves face justice irrespective of political party affiliations.

One day sometimes in 2023 or beyond, the atrocities perpetrated by GMB as president will also be a headline news. Let them continue to gag the press. A Government that campaigned using anticorrouption as part of it main manifesto should have put in place a process that would have prevented the type of Hadiza's fraud. How many more Hadizas are still in government?!

Wow!
History is good but regarding Lokoja I believe it is a lost cause if you have ever been there then you will know it is out of kabba province. Nupe is a cousin to the yorubas so her occupation of jebba north is also out but yorubas are at home there, if you have ever visited there you wont know the difference between jebba north and south.
The most confused ruler in Nigeria is the emir of Ilorin, he knows the town is out of his grasp apart from the title of Ilorin ruler, emir, there is no difference between oyo town and Ilorin town infact every institution in Ilorin has been 'yorubanized' with so much yoruba influence. Infact most Ilorin indigenes regard the ruler as 'oba'. Despite kwara being a multiethnic state with Ilorin her capital the lingua franca in Ilorin is yoruba.

The strategy yoruba elders used in Ilorin can be used in Nigeria, educate and make your citizens be aware of their history then can a true yoruba nation or i will rather call it yoruba region be fully achieved

We have history on our side as far as Lokoja is concerned. The Nupes know this fact. The influence of Ajayi Crowder in the development ofLokoja can't be over emphasized. He happen to be one of the few early set if educated Nigerians who could read and write and that's is the reason the Oworos werejust watching the Attah of Igalaland when he went for the kangaroo court judgement.
People knows where their land start and ended.

This is rubbish. Isn't it obvious that Buhari does not want Tinubu to succeed him? what is the meaning of the body language of Daura man when he allowed Adams the son of Oshiomhole to be removed as APC chairman and surreptitiously support Obaseki to win? Is that not an indication that GMB is ready to betray Tinubu? How do we explain the actions of the current care taker committee? or the meaning of the statement that you can't seat in Lagos to decide rotation by GMB?

I believe Ashiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu is a very smart man and he will make a good political calculation this time around. In my opinion, it is better for him to support Prof Osinbajo if he ever intend to be more politically relevant for a long time in this country.

I want to thank the op for this educating thread. I perceive he is one of the few elders on this platform with a strong sense of history .

At this point I will like to call on Seun Osewa and his super mods to encourage Nairalanders to produce more threads on the political history of Nigeria. It should cover pre colonial, colonial era and the post independence political evolution of the geo-political matrix called Nigeria.

To some of us that are about 50years old or more, we have some knowledge of our political evolution perhaps not as detailed.

However, will like to disagree with the author of this write up on the Northern boundaries of Yoruba empire. He said it extends to about 40 km to Niger boundary. Sir, with due respect, the land in the present day Lokoja (the current Kogi state capital) belongs to the Oworo people of Kabba province. Indeed, the Oworos speaks a version of Yoruba in the the category of Okun Yoruba. However due military invasion of the Nupes from across the Niger and after the fall of Oyo Empire, traders that came from across the Niger to the trading points settle and has refused to relocate. The current traditional ruler in Lokoja perhaps have his root in Kano. Along the Niger shore to Jebba at one point or the other belongs to Yoruba. Due to political evolutions, today we have Jebba North and Jebba South. Jebba South of Niger is a pure Yoruba settlement although the emir of Ilorin, using the political manipulation of the state government wanted to change his title to Emir.

The Yoruba youths on this platform deserves to know . In the event of a major geo-political evolution in the future, where did Yoruba land ends?
This is important in the event for a need to defend the father's land and we all know that water has been a major boundary demarcator in history and geography. Major rivers like Niger can therefore not be ignored no matter the extent of political manipulations.

When GMB e-rats are talking nonsense here, it is best to ignore them. Violating international law ( if true) to arrest a wanted person is akin to terrorism. If you know, you know.
