FamilyRe: I Fear I Won't Have A Marriage As Good as My Parents' Own by mide2(op): 4:19am On Dec 27, 2005
I don't doubt you one bit. And onething i guess i got from your post that i would definitely always remember is to have some real chat with them differently. I haven't tried the one to one chat with both of them at different times before. Though they're going to end up telling themselves. Anyways thanks so much, you wouldn't know to what extent i appreciate your post. I was really bothered but i'm sure it isn't an impossibility having a better marriage. Thanks a million rikkyjen. you're a gem.

I didn't say my parent's marriage isn't rosy........it's the best i've seen so far. My fear is, is it possible i have something like theirs or even better. I'm always comparing my r/ship with guys to my parent's r/ship and i haven't so far seen anyone like it.

I feel i'll always see my folks as standard and thats already stressing me out. Anything less i'm sure gonna feel like a failure to them.

Thnx rickkyjen, i have done abit of the questioning stuff, What i found out is that it's more of sacrificing and compromising somethings to make the other happy but u see it's a joint effort. And alot of compatibility like you rightly said but how sure can one be b4 getting into the real deal of marriage.
FamilyRe: I Fear I Won't Have A Marriage As Good as My Parents' Own by mide2(op): 11:45pm On Dec 26, 2005
I can't say but i think maybe it's because i haven't seen alot of succesful marriages these days. Alot of pple have the same quality that my folks have and yet their marriages aren't nothing to write home about. It hasn't got a rule, it's about luck and i dread making a mistake.
FamilyI Fear I Won't Have A Marriage As Good as My Parents' Own by mide2(op): 9:04pm On Dec 26, 2005
My fear about my future marriage

I always wish i could have a peep into the future before tying the knot. My parents are a very wonderful, heavenly made match. Couldn't have been better.

I was searching for the T.V manual in mom's bedside locker when i stumbled on some cards, they were her xmas, birthday and stuffs like that cards, but one caught my attention. It was a birthday card to a wife from her husband. I wondered, dad never buy cards, he isn't just the type. I quickly opened it and read:
Everybody needs somebody to love
I'm glad my somebody is you!

(the card's wordings)

Lovely journey of over a quarter of a century has absolutely proved me right,
I made a right choice of SOMEBODY
.
(this was written by dad, then the usual birthday greetings for lovers)

My point now is I always fear I wouldn't get a marriage as good as my folks. I haven't found anybody that has got the perfect qualities. I don't know what to do really. It's odd I feel that way I know but can't help it.
FamilyRe: Kind of Husband or Wife You Aspire to Have? by mide2(f): 8:44pm On Dec 26, 2005
I want to have an husband like my father to my mother. A man that we'll go thru life together (good times and bad). A soul mate, a part of my life i wouldn't be able to do without. The perfect match, made in heaven. These and more are my father's attribute which i would so much be grateful to God for if given the opportunity.

it should not matter and those who say the ralationship will be over or they will not accept it should plz grow up and get a broad view of life because there is more to this life than just faking up realitieshuh.
huh What's the faked reality in knowing i'm no good with step kid(s). If you're happy with it , good for you and if you're someone like me who wouldn't dare it, then i don't think it's a crime or faked reality(according to loriann).
Nairaland GeneralRe: What is Your New Year Resolution? by mide2(f): 6:08pm On Dec 26, 2005
Mine is to make my hay while the sun is still shinning. Meaning, i will try and save up as much as i can cuz i'm sure some lovely looking babies are on their way sooner than i think. Also having a lovely dad for them and the best husband for me is on my top list.
Take better care of myself (eat healthy foods only, excercise reg, and some real treat for myself). And i guess the most important, getting me a*se back to God (Strained my r/ship wit him this yr)
FashionRe: Wear What's In Vogue or Something Of Your Own? by mide2(f): 5:51pm On Dec 26, 2005
I  love my things different. I buy stuffs in vogue but with a bit of difference or combine them with something else and not the usual stuff with evry one.
Mum always say i'm difficult to go out shopping with, she says i'd better learn to make my own oufits myself(lol) cuz no company/factory will make just a single stuff.......they'd make alot to save cost. (I find it difficult to buy oufits with numerous same on the rack). Although i end up buying them most times because they look good.

FashionRe: Ladies, Can You Leave Home Without Wearing Makeup? by mide2(f): 1:00am On Dec 26, 2005
Making up is an aspect of dressing up. So there are some places (as others have rightly said) that i can go to without the need to spend 30 mins checking myself out in front of the mirror. Same thing goes for the make up. But really i can't go to parties, clubs, or even church without some make ups,( i don't do heavy make ups though, just the basics) cuz i'll dress differently to them places and not as if i'm saying hello to a girl next door or next block. It's not as if one is addicted to it or doesn't feel good without them but just as natural as any body (even a guy) would want to look better to a party or a date than to just a friend's place.

If it were a test, (Exam) u'll probably pick an answer from the given options and not add your own option or ask your examiner for an extra option.
