Family › Re: My Sister Is Cheating On Her Husband For Not Supporting Her Financially by mideactive: 10:59pm On Oct 24, 2017 |
Melodyz: It's a very long story but let me cut it short
Back in my secondary days my sister got married to a man from Imo state, within two years they gave birth to two beautiful daughters (twins), few months after giving birth the husband was diagnosed with eye cancer, which after much treatment he passed away.
The families of the man refused my sister of everything, they went as far as telling her to go away with the kids, that they are evil, that they want nothing to do with her and the children. So she came back home, my parents tried everything possible to resolve the issue but to no avail, so we accepted the kids as ours, they even started bearing our last name.
Few years later a man asked for my sister's hand in marriage, like two to three years into the marriage she gave birth to a boy and a girl, by then I was already schooling in UNN and I normally don't travel back home constantly. She calls at times to ask how I was doing and sometimes complains of how her husband doesn't bring money for anything in the house, that she is the one that pays for everything concerning the kids schooling, that she can count the number of times her husband brings money for paying of rent and for feeding.
She reported him to his people but nothing was done, after much complaining she said she's not interested in the marriage anymore, some of our family members advise her not to leave the marriage that is not right via her being married before, but she refused, that she can't be the man in the house by taking care of everything that they (the husband and her) should be doing together. So she went ahead to rent her own apartment and brought along her the two kids, few months after moving out her husband was evicted for failing to pay his rent.
I graduated this year and decided to go visit her and from there find something doing before I leave for service, on my reaching there I asked her what is happening via her marriage, she told me that since she moved here her husband has never for once asked of the kids, even to send money for their upkeep he has not done it, so out of anger he sent his son to him as he is the eldest, to take care of him.
Since I got to her house there is this guy that visits her and calls her constantly, she even visits him almost if not every night.
I want to talk to her about it, so everyone in the house please what can I do? Should I stay mute or not? If not, what should I tell her? The truth is in as much as u wish to help her,u cannot help her.but tell her the truth,it's not wise for a woman to move from one man to another, tell her to think about her kids n d kind of life she wants for them.it's hard to be a woman, but it's far much harder to be a wife n a mother.tell her may be it will sink. |

Benita27: What was the so called husband expecting when he failed to be responsible to his wife and kids?. As far as I'm concerned, they stopped being married long ago, perhaps you think she's still married 'cause they've not divorced legally. That being said, if you're concerned about her life I'm sure she'll ask you to mind your business 'cause she's an adult. Indomie generation, always thinking marriage is guguru n epa..no wonder, loads of divorce. |

According to the social media user who shared this and condemned such act, even when she went close to take pictures of him, the policeman didn't even blink - oblivious to what was happening around his environment.

Politics › Re: Singaporean Investors To Invest In Lekki Free Trade Zone (LFTZ). by mideactive: 8:14pm On Sep 07, 2017 |
jejeproperty: The Singaporean Minister of State for Trade and Industry, Dr Koh Poh Koon, on his visit to Nigeria expressed his interest in the free trade zone as well as port development. The minister brought a trade delegation from Singapore to understand the market potential, and look for opportunities where they can either invest or set up a business in Nigeria.
According to Koon, the Lekki Free Trade Zone (LFTZ) is something interesting for Singaporean companies to see, and would hopefully lead to greater awareness and excitement for Singaporean companies to explore business opportunities in Nigeria. The Tolaram Group, an international private consortium and promoters of the LFTZ while talking about the development in the Zone, stated that although more investors are indicating interest in the massive development project, only four industries have commenced operations in the Zone.
The consortium said so far, it has a combined project value investment of about $150 million for the development of the four factories, while it plans to invest more funds as new industries spring up at the facility. The factories include the TG Arla, manufacturers of Dano Milk; Palm Oil Refinery, producers of Power Oil; Cereals and Kellogg’s Production Company and the Insignia Technology Prints.
In the same light, the Group Managing Director of Tolaram Group, Haresh Aswani, commenting on the $1.2 billion Lekki deep sea port project, stated that 2020 is still in view for its completion. He said that activities would build up in the next three months, while earth moving equipment would be deplored to site in December. We are pleased that the minister is visiting at this time because this is when work has actually commenced. So, he’s actually seeing the port project in the Greenfield basis, and we are hoping that in three years’ time when he comes back we would have completed the port project.
The port project has started up, you will see activities building up in the next three months, and by December, and we expect full activities to commence at the site. The port would be completed in three years while the free trade zone is ongoing. We have to keep developing as new investors are coming in,” he added.
With a capacity to handle 2.5million twenty-foot equivalent unit (TEUs) in its first phase of operations, Aswani further said the country’s largest deep sea port when extended to its second stage, would have the capacity to handle 4.5million TEUs.

dainformant: Armed men ambushed and killed four soldiers in the Ekeremor waterways area of Bayelsa State as they returned from an assignment in the Letugbene community on Monday. According to reports, The gunmen, who outnumbered the soldiers, forced the servicemen to surrender, marched them to a creek, executed them and stole their weapons and military gear.
A civilian boat driver with the military detachment attempted to escape but was also shot and killed by the attackers.
Nigeria’s oil-rich south and southeast had been ravaged by violence orchestrated by groups seeking to force the government to more evenly share petroleum revenues with local residents.
Tare Porri, a local youth leader, confirmed the killings.
“(The attack) was bizarre and unprovoked,” said Porri, chairman of the Central Zone of Ijaw Youths Council. “Four military officers were killed in cold blood alongside a civilian. Military officers went to Letugbene community and on their way back, some persons accosted them and killed all of them,” he told AFP.
“Only one of them escaped. The military, yesterday morning, retaliated, invaded the communities and burnt down houses. The operations are still ongoing and it is spreading to other communities,” Porri added.
A senior security official confirmed the incident and denounced the increased level of violence against security forces.
