2s£xy:It doesn't make any sense, why would someone be restrained from liking a post just because it is gonna appear on his own profile which no one else is privy to. Who else sees your liked posts when they appear? On the contrary, it will encourage people to like posts more. It is more like "bookmarking" a comment for your personal future usage. |
Hello Mr. Seun Pls can you created a new feature that would enable us view those posts which we've liked, just like we can view the our posts liked by others? Some posts are really educative & entertaining and we'd like to easily locate them when needed for reference. Pls reply And thanks for the good work you're doing here. |
And APC blames it on Jonathan..... |

Di'matteo Matxkey Akande When I voted President Jonathan in 2011, I did'nt vote a superman,I did'nt vote a magician,I did'nt vote a miracle worker, I voted a man of flesh and blood, imperfect with his own mistakes,so i wonder why anybody in his right thinking senses will expect this man to transform nigeria that has been misruled for over four decades in just 2years and four months of his 4year tenure. It is this same kind of greed, politics of bitterness and ethnic sentiments that has kept us where we are today. For those who can't see anything good in Goodlucks's administration i totally agree with you,how can you see the right things when you're constantly focused on the left? How can you see anything positive when you constantly focus on the negative? The media prefers to publish the negative things about his government and hardly informs the masses ofthe transformation that has taken place in certain areas in this country, of course the negative news and insults sells more and earns them more readers. The mafias in politics are fighting tooth and nail to pull him down, their means of corruption and looting has been blocked and so they want to pull him down no matter what it takes. Its not coming as a surprise to me anyway, in the words of Jonathan Swift, the satirist and political pamphleter "When a true genius appears in the world you may know him by this sign, that the dunces are all in confederacy against him". Its human nature never to be satisfied anyway, the people of Israel asked God for a leader,he led them out of egypt yet they rebeled against him and preferred to return to egypt. In the end of it all,Jonathan's works and results will speak for him. He was elected in May 2011,this is September 2013 and they want him out of office already. God is on the throne. |
Front Page Please. |
Hello Mr Seun, Let me start by commending you for the good work you've been doing with Nairaland. I must say, you're a legend. Before I get to the point of this write-up, let me admit that the various FEATURES of this site is most impressive. But in my opinion, one is missing. Which is the ability TO VIEW COMMENTS OF OTHERS THAT WE'VE "LIKED" against the current feature of our ability to view our comments liked by other people. This new feature when introduced would increase peoples' PARTICIPATION on this site because the comments/posts of certain individuals can be very EDUCATIVE and entertaining. So instead of searching the fast winding pages of multiple threads for certain information seen before, it would be much more easier if we've already "bookmarked" the comment, and be able to access them when needed on this new link on our individual accounts. Therefore, since there is an already existing link labelled "LIKED" used to view our comments liked by others, I'm proposing the new link to be labelled "BOOKMARKED" I'm also appealing that this feature should be able to bring back previously liked comments and shouldn't be affected by comments deleted by MODS, though not in any way diminishing the authority of the MODS to ban/delete inappropriate comments. Thanks in anticipation. @Fellow Nairalanders, IF YOU SUPPORT THIS IDEA PLEASE CLICK "LIKE" |
Lets discuss Person of Interest season 3. |
Well done Mr. Ross Alabo-George, I love the Ijaw spirit of truth in you. As for those who like hawks always watch out and try to drag the president's name into this and every trivial issues, I pray for mercy on your lives and those of your offsprings. |
otanaworld: As a young Niger Delta boy even in the early 70s such good looking natural environment existed in the Niger Delta.Pls tell these fools who hinge their suvival and that of their offsprings on the wealth and sufferings of the Niger Delta people. |
obakovich: The vegetation is not that of the Niger Delta,we dnt have a Sandy soil like that. It looks more of a picture from senegal. The vegetation is mangrove and not palm. Segun if na me u no go post see as them dey lie and na front page because I no be yoruba. Rubbish!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Who is this blockheaded guy and what is he talking about? |
true2god: Stop reasoning like a child born in the early 90s. Was the eastern region carried along in the North\west (murtala\obasanjo) coup of 1976? Was the eastern region carried along in the North\west (buhari\idiagbo) coup of 1983? Was the eastern region carried along in the Northern (babangida) coup of 1985? Was the easter region carried along in the north\west (abacha\diya) coup of 1993?Are you serious? Was there even an eastern region in those dates you mentioned? Are you sure your brain-clock is not malfunctioning? |
This is a freaking awesome news, what a blessed sunday! WELCOME TO THE REPUBLIC OF IJAWLAND |
Arrogant Hypocrites! |
mens dept: Even if this fallacy is deemed to be true, what did it do for the Holy Ijaw folks? Did it bring them the best universities and high schools Africa (forget about the world) has seen? NO!After exposing you for your LIES about Frank Opigo, the next thing you do is preach a sermon from an erosion valley.....Fulani domination, Igbos domination, what is the difference? Keep having Amnesia. I've come to understand that the current bunch of Igbos think or rather believe the current generation of Niger Deltans mostly Ijaws have forgotten the events of the past as to the tyranny, stu.pidity & murders by the Igbos. You think because we smile with you daily we must be living in oblivion........You even have the disgusting temerity to term us "saboteurs", what arrant nonesense? Now you're back again trying to play saviour & big brother clamouring for SS-SE integration, we will surely key in into it to give us the platform to get closer to you in order to perfect how best to deal with all of you. I don't wanna sound like I'm issuing threats' but you definitely do not have any idea what you guys are getting into. Lemme end by telling the Igbo nation that IGBOS ARE THE CAUSE OF THE PLIGHT OF NIGER DELTANS TODAY. It is because of the Igbos that the North (with whom we had a warn relationship to the envy of the Igbos) now see us as war bounty. It is because of Igbos that Niger Deltans are suffering in the current Nigerian polity. You did everything possible to deny us some level of self determination in the Eastern Region just like the Northerners with the Middle Belt. You couldn't even have the quasi-decency of the Yorubas who allowed the "minorities" within then to have some level of self determination. An Igbo man was the one who introduced UNITARY SYSTEM OF GOVERNMENT and jettisoned the quasi-federal structure of revenue distribution to this devilish system the Northern have mastered & perpetuated. I hope I've been able to cure some of your ignorance, esp those who are having amnesia, those who choose to live in a dreamworld, those who choose to live in oblivion, those who choose to assume that "THESE PEOPLE DON'T KNOW ANYTHING, THEY MUST HAVE FORGOTTEN". I've read so many Igbo comments on nairaland who write lenghty sermons to justify every Igbo action in Nigeria esp Biafra. What I've revealled to all of you today is JUST A TIP OF THE ICEBERG of what an average Ijaw/Niger Deltan youth knows and understand at his finger tips. We may not express it outrightly or air them like the current Igbo generation does in the internet, but we know all of it. And your public Igbo Justification Campaign is even making you look very funny in the eyes of the average Niger Deltan....YOU GUYS SERIOUSLY CAN NOT COMPREHEND OUR LEVEL OF SOPHISTICATION WHICH HINGES ON BEING SILENT WITH SO MANY FACTS. If you like continue the rantings of Igbo justification til forever, this is the closest you'd ever get as a confrontation against your nonsense from an Ijaw man....we will simply keep watching in silence as you continue you public/internet dance of shamelessness. SHALOM. |
ckkris: @mieye007, @Ijaw CitizenAll these are just the rantings of LANDLOCKOPHOBIA infested people. None of these explains why Igbos should be granted access to the sea. None of all these sounds like an appeal OR a plea for mercy to your masters at the coast. FYI- It is because we haven't achieved ALL of these, thats the more reason why Igbos will never get access to the sea. |
amakenny: 1) Yes Ojukwu consulted those necessary to be consulted. Ever heard of Frank Opigo, an Ijaw. He suggested the name Biafra before the onset of the civil war. Those in the southsouth who latter tell you they were not consulted could have been people on the back bench then. What kind of insult is this? How can someone who have no relationship whatsoever with Ojukwu "SUGGEST" a named for that war criminal? Opigo was a Eastern region member of parliament who always used the term Biafra to describe the Ijaw people in his public debates and comments. He had no relationship whatsoever with the Biafran project, no Ijaw man was part of it. It was Ojukwu who stole the name in an attempt to endear the Ijaws but we resisted him from the start. amakenny: Note: federal troops arrived very early in the southsouth and fed the people out there all sorts of lies against the Igbo. Some of those lies have even stuck till date on the minds of a few persons out there who can hardly see beyond their noses. For the benefit of those[/quote]Your lies will surely consume you one day! For the sake of people who are not historically challenged like this guy here; Igbo killer squads invaded the Niger Delta when it became clear to them that we're not in the biafran rubbish with them (thereby making them a land locked country) and secondly forcefully annexed ND lands for our oils resources even those outside the Eastern region (check the bifran map for confirmation) and killed thousands of us who openly resisted them- stretching from Itsekiris thru' Ijaws to even Efik and Ibibio people who they claim were their allies-clearly showing that Phillip Effiong didn't represent the interest of the Ibibio/Efik people. For a confirmation of these claims I'm making pls kindly read through the "grosssly under-reported" Oputa panel report vol.3 |
Etche Distances Self From Visit To Amaechi Etche people acting under the umbrella of Etche United Voice (EUV) have distanced themselves from what they described as “shameless solidarity visit by paid employees from the area to Governor Chibuike Amaechi recently. This was contained in a statement signed by Gashon Bob Achor, the president of the group, and Martins Amadi, the publicity secretary and made available to newsmen. According to them, “Ogbakor Etche is the only umbrella organization authorized to represent or speak for Etche ethnic nationality on topical issues concerning Etche. They said, “Etche people are highly disappointed in the assemblage of Governor Amaechi employees who paid a recent solidarity visit to him in the name of Etche”. "We are further disappointed that chiefs were deceived by the two council chairmen who funded the said solidarity visit using Etche ethnic as an umbrella”. The group dissociated Etche from the “unauthorized solidarity visit that was designed to promote the paid employees of Governor Amaechi in Etche”, adding that Etche people and the entire Rivers people should ignore and disregard this shameful visit. “Etche people have been misled by this group of employees for a very long time and will no longer allow themselves to be deceived. They called on the general public to disregard the said visit as the visit does not in anyway represent the views and opinions of Etche people. |
rozayx5: Shut down abeg, Nigeria's problems did not start today, it started under the nose of these same northern Goons in Agbada, do you expect GEJ to sove 50 years of rot overnightWORD FOR THE DEMONIC HATERS MOSTLY FROM THE CORE NORTH AND YORUBA LAND. THIS ALSO EXTENDS TO THE NORTHERN STOODGES IN THE SOUTH SOUTH (TAM DAVID-WEST) AND SOME UNREALISTICOS ACROSS THE NIGER. |

bigfrancis21: Yes, I could be an Igbo Jew. What's wrong with that?Nothing really, just that you behave more like arabs. |
bigfrancis21: The Igbo sub groups located in Rivers all belong to the Igbo umbrella. What ever disunity noises being made don't even pass the shores of Rivers state. Other Nigerians once they hear the Rivers Igbo people speak 'Bia' will automatically call them Igbo. As I am here, once I hear anybody speaking anything related to Yoruba, he or she is automatically a Yoruba person to me, whether he or she denies it or not or calls him or herself any name he or she choses to call themselves. These groups are internationally classified as Igbo with or without their approval. Some kind of reasoning from a flat-headed "Jew" |
dayokanu: God punish those PDP members who were using Boko haram to kill peopleThese lines are so dry, I had to spinkle them with holy water from Egbesu shrine in Agadagba-bou river )',',',',', |
Only f00ls delibrately mix up dates, events and their messed-up imagination which I doubt could calculate simple arithmetics of addition & substraction; all to create mischief and cast aspersion on certain people. I now see why simple mathematics ( which has been recording collosal failure for more than 50 years ago in primary & secondary schools) is very important for these kids. |
Where is the mo.ron called Pazienza? Has he ran away like Ojukwu? Thats what they always do when presented with real challenge.....Pathetic Humanoids! |
pazienza: Now this is funny, you are obviously mad.Pazienza the flat headed Igbo man don comme with him ignorance again, you funny sha! "Kalabari only claim Ijaw when......." Abeg no make me laugh. I'm glad there are so many Kalabari people following this thread so Please finalize the confirmation of your Igbo stupidity by posting the link to that thread and we'd be more than glad to expose your Igbo stupidity. |
ba7man: Despite the 1000 000 000 likes, still not 1 picture.Yeah, no pictures for your hate-filled eyes to see. If want to see things for yourself, take a trip to yenagoa and fill you hypermyopic eyes with all the images and pictures you need. Na by force to show you picture? If you're truely interested, then you should emulate Labaran Maku who visited 36 states to see first hand whats going on. Dey there dey look for pictures. |
