Steep:John 10:30-33 [30]I and my Father are one. [31]Then the Jews took up stones again to stone him. [32]Jesus answered them, Many good works have I shewed you from my Father; for which of those works do ye stone me? [33]The Jews answered him, saying, For a good work we stone thee not; but for blasphemy; and because that thou, being a man, makest thyself God. What can you make out of these verses? |
Steep:It depends on the way you read it and the context. If I may ask you, why did the Jews, I spite of the works that he did sought to and eventually kill Jesus? |
Let the leaders of the community produce the killers of our gallant soldiers. |
Pristine664:Mmesoma Ejikeme, is a pointer to their heinous practices. In 60's a Catholic priest was leaking A Level exams to his students . He was caught. ![]() |

Nothing. I can do same to my son if he is stubborn. It depends on what he did anyway. Ọjọ ti ọmọ bá ṣi imi búburú, a o já eṣinṣin nu idi fun. |

I watched an interview on Ghannels Television yesterday . Where one Group Captain Christopher, a retired officer, was saying that, the community had earlier called on both Police and Civil Defense but none responded. When they called on the military, they had to go, they didn't prepare to fight, but their presence to retrain from continued violence. I am a yoruba man myself. I knew little about Ìfẹ - Modakeke face-off. It lingered more than a hundred years. It was on and off. The moment Obasanjo waved in, none of the waring sides attack any solders. There are numerous land boundary issues in courts, even to supreme court from Yorubaland. Apart from Fulani herders attacks, Yorubaland has been peaceful. They seek justice from Law courts than senseless killings in Niger Delta. In a community where I served in Ekiti, the land tussle was in court for thirty eight years before it was finally resolved. Niger Delta, people believe in the use of force. 'No gree for anybody' They should be civil in the name of humanity. The losses would be heavy on them. If the military kills a thousand of them, the will carry the corpses away and will not allow any journalist to cover anything. On this issue, the communities have not acted wisely. |
Forumites:I doubt the verity of the story. How would soldiers just open fire unprovoked? They were on peace mission right? Were they attacked by the two communities simultaneously? Why didn't they kill people in the other community? |
gidgiddy:He is not being punished for going against the state alone. He is incarcerated for personal attacks on Buhari's person. He went too far nah! |
Northernblood9:So the Niger Delta youths retrained them with death abi? Let them face reprisal attacks from the soldiers nah. Why can't they come out now to finish their work? |
Northernblood9:What was the sin of the skain 16 soldo? |

SHINJA:Not really, Ekiti has culture of education before. In the old western state , Ekiti and ogun divisions were more educated than others. They were in every office from region to federal. Until lately, Ekiti treasures education more than anything. If you don't have a graduate in your family, you don't win any recognition. Ekiti produced the first medical doctor in 1896, Dr. Orisadeyi Obasa. |

I like this man. He was bed ridden for sixteen months, condemned to death by his doctor, Erwin. The doctor was prolific in his practice. Hagin's grandfather was rich and well connected. He involved this doctor to try his expertise on his grandson. The doctor advised he go home to die. He began to study the Bible on the sick bed and came across Mark 11:23. He reasoned whether God was joking or meant what he read. He began to exercise his faith and was cured of three deadly diseases: poisoned blood, bad heart condition, and paralysis. He became a preacher of faith for nearly seven decades. He adopted to the name Erwin as his middle name in rememberance of the doctor who tried and could not heal him. Kenneth Erwin Hagin. He didn't go any seminary, no Governing Body to confuse him. He discovered God and his eternal power and faithfulness all by himself. Glory to God. 'cc: MaximumSide |
RecentHistory:Mande.... what? He no dey Sunday Igboho level. He never go forcefully open border. He no lead any riot. He don suffer tire. Igboho come come bury him mother. Nobody harass am. Dem go explain tire. |
charlypoker:No dey compare yoruba governors with this man. The other day, someone was comparing Obaseki with Makinde of Oyo State. These are performing governors. With the little in Ekiti, Oyebanji is doing fine. With much in Edo, Obaseki's work is not seen. I live in Benin, my family in Ibadan: I know what I am talking about. I have Edo people defending obaseki. One was even telling me that it is because Benin is big. Haha, Benin is number 4 biggest city in Nigeria behind Ibadan, Kano, and Lagos. Edo is one of the six states with high IGR in Nigeria. No excuse. |

This is what is called governance. How can we have refineries and be importing fuels? How can we have expanse of land across the nation and be hungry? How can we turn out hundreds of thousands of engineering graduates from various institutions and be importing toothpicks? I learned FG is buying 10,000 tractors from Germany. Good move. I am a politician, but Nigerians like deceiving themselves. I believe all borders should be closed to many things we can produce. Every child should be made to have basic, compulsory education. Other things can now follow. Emilokan well done |
Feintline:This is like Gaza and Israel. The youths looked for trouble. Soldiers are not trained for arresting people. I don't think they understand that language. If the youths are stupid, their parents that failed to train them should bear the cost. Those soldiers they killed were someone's father, husband, sons, helpers, heroes... They were sent there to maintain peace. They were killed in cold blood. What do you think should be the reason and reasonable justice for their dastardly acts? |

Queengee:The tide is turning my brother. In the hay days of Boko Haram, they were cheered whenever they shot at JTF, looted banks and attacked churches. A time came when JTF began to fight those that harboured them,, banks left the region, churches tightened security. Then, Boko Haram turned on the communities, killing worshippers on mosques, killing emirs. The urchins northern leaders failed to train yesterday are now monsters. These monsters would destroy them in no time. They are already seen the handwriting on the wall. In fact, the north should dread disintegration today, because to the region would fight wars for a very long time. |
Aemmyjah:That's between me and God. You don't give anything in your hall? |
Maximus692:Good morning my good friend |
Maximus692:The bolded has said it all meaning that those that fasted Isaiah were wrong from Genesis to Isaiah, and those that fasted after were wrong by the standard of JWs, not necessarily by God's. Be deceiving yourself. ![]() |
Maximus692:You don't seem to understand what you are talking about. Fasting in both testaments are the same. There is nothing like New Testament fasting. All that fasted didn't fast for life. It is either total abstinence from food or partially for a season. If you can clearly give any references of your claim beautiful. |
