We need more igbos like Chukwuma Mohammed Mustapha Dike who recently and voluntarily joined Islam to fulfil his vow following President Muhammadu Buhari's victory April's presidential election in the religion of peace to evangelise his people.
This will open the eyes of Igbos to the love the northerners and indeed Muslim Ummah have for them.
More so, the Igbos need to embrace others with open heart and hand and see we can o - exist together in our diversity like this brave chap who dares to go beyond tribal and religion divides.

Engaging the military is a waste of time. The dead soldiers are a loss to their families and the nation. While jihadist fighters are gaining paradise.
Ordinarily, if Nigeria and Cameroon are involved in a war, the armies are fighting professionally after the war, two soldiers from each side can be friends but when communal and religion are involved, the war takes considerable time to end. Peopl fight emotionally for a belief and an eternal reward not a medal.
However, some measure should be used other than military and dialogue because their demands will be unreasonable.
So I reason with Gabriel A. Mark that correct enlightenment campaign both secular and spiritual are needed. The extremists have been spiritually ill ~ guided. They need re ~ orientation. The northern leaders neglected this by omission or commission we are paying dearly for it now.
Who knows whether the peace places now will have sympathy for their brethren tomorrow and the whole nation is engulfed by this group or similar ones?

I submit that Nigerians should be able to used the same method starting from Nairaland firstly, by stopping the e ~ bashing and molesting the emotion of Muslim Nairalanders and to pray for the extremists and their sponsors to see the light of Islam in its pure form .
