But it is obvious that one of Trump's main concerns in this war is the price of crude oil! He wants to avoid high prices, otherwise it would cost him and his political party back home in US.
If Hezbollah stops attacking Israel, then the ceasefire may last much longer. If not, Israel would hammer them and things may deteriorate again. The ragtag Houthi rebels are also there.
But if Iran truly has agreed and no longer pursuing nuclear weapons, then it gives hope for a lasting peace.

Never buy a company where the debt outweighs the equity.

You may be right to some extent. But be mindful that the negative equity you referred to is based on historic book values of assets. It could change if the assets (especially upstream assets) should be revalued based on current market realities and industry requirement.

A company's debt may outweigh its equity. What matters is the cashflows from operations to pay off the debts or restructure it so that it does not hamper operations and then gives you enough time to repay.
