You want Hamas to keep holding on to the hostages while Israel keeps begging them on their knees or what? Holding on to the hostages is a declaration of war by Hamas |

GeneralDae: Let’s all just wait and follow the Taiwo Oyedele meeting. We would summarize the nuances after that.
I entered a twitter space two days ago where tax (as related to the stock market and fixed income market) was being discussed, they invited a tax expert but I entered late and they were almost done. But it seemed the tax guy (guest speaker) did a good job answering most of the questions.
So I believe there would be clarity when more of these guys come out to explain the nuances involved.
I strongly believe they have modelled their system based on the European model but in a little bit more progressive way. That Taiwo has nothing new or different or useful to say. I have heard him speak on Channels. Even if there are other ways to avoid the tax, he would not say it. You may have to other tax consultants or advisers. They just deceived Nigerians and the useless National Assembly allowed them by passing the law. |

France, UK, Australia, Canada, Spain and the rest should do the same, it's time to put Israel where it belongs
Let's see if Bibi will dare attack this frigate The frigate would not do shit if Israel does not want it or did not permit it! It can never enter Gaza without Israel's permission. Gaza is a war zone right now and nobody can just enter the place without permission from Israel, not even Russia, China, Italy, France, UK Canada and the rest. |

What is progressive in asking individuals to pay almost 25 percent CGT but companies would pay 10 percent? Who carries higher relative risk burden in the capital market between a company and an individual and who should be rewarded or incentivized more? |

GeneralDae: I would dig further but I think I have heard Taiwo Oyedele say there are exemptions. The problem with information on this new tax laws generally is that people prefer to listen to influencers and non tax experts and then ignore Taiwo and the FIRS guys who are all over the place answering questions and explaining.
“There is an exemption threshold raised: for sale of shares in Nigerian companies, the gross proceeds threshold is now ₦150 million in any 12 consecutive months. Also, gains do not exceed ₦10 million in that period may qualify under the exemption”. “For individuals, CGT continues but will be taxed at the individual’s applicable income tax rate (“progressive tax band”) rather than a flat 10%”. That even does not make sense! Why must an individual (with higher risk burden) pay a higher rate in CGT than a company? |

Land grabbers. There is no country or indigenous people called ''Palestine'' or ''Palestinians''. They only coined the word less than 100 years ago. The land of Israel has been in existence for more than 2,000 years. David, Solomon, even Jesus Christ lived in the Land of Israel when there was nothing like Palestine. You can go and drive away the Europeans back to Europe. They are descendants of Israeli Jews and they are living on the land of their forefathers |

FIRDAUS3: I am Israel. I never miss a chance to claim victimhood while inflicting violence.
In 1947, the United Nations handed me more than half of someone else’s land. A gift I didn’t earn, from colonial powers who didn’t own it. I accepted. My neighbors objected. I called it war—and in the chaos, I began my cleansing. Over 700,000 Palestinians were driven from their homes—some fled, yes—but many were forced out at gunpoint, their villages razed, their names erased.
Then I planted pine trees over the ruins—to hide the memory. Forests where homes once stood. Parks over cemeteries. I made it green so the world wouldn’t see the black underneath. I called it “reforestation.” They called it erasure.
I am Israel. I have never chosen peace—only dominance.
In 1967, I launched a pre-emptive war and seized Gaza, the West Bank, East Jerusalem, the Golan Heights, and Sinai. I claimed it was for security. I held onto it for power. I built settlements, one by one, choking Palestinian towns. International law said it was illegal. I ignored it. My map grew. Their freedom shrank.
I am Israel. I could have ended the occupation. Many times. But I always said no.
In 2000, at Camp David, I offered a patchwork of disconnected enclaves surrounded by walls, checkpoints, and soldiers. I called it peace. Palestinians walked away. I called them extremists. Then I built a wall, not on my border—but deep in theirs. I called it security. They called it theft.
I am Israel. I glorify militarism. I raise children to believe they are chosen.
My textbooks erase Palestine. My soldiers patrol streets with rifles pointed at teenagers. My media justifies bombings. My politicians joke about flattening Gaza. I send airstrikes to refugee camps, schools, and hospitals. Then I say they were human shields.
I am Israel. I elected Netanyahu. Again and again.
Not once, by mistake. But knowingly. I voted for leaders who vowed to crush the Palestinians, to expand settlements, to never allow a Palestinian state. My ministers speak of “the Arabs” as a demographic threat. My settlers burn olive trees. My mobs chant “Death to Arabs.” I call it patriotism.
I am Israel. I speak of democracy—but deny it to millions under my control.
I rule over millions who cannot vote in the country that controls their lives. I build roads they cannot drive on. I issue permits for them to breathe, to move, to live. I bomb Gaza, then seal it off and say it’s their fault. I say I left Gaza—but I control its air, sea, and borders. I say they are free—then I starve them.
I am Israel. I demand recognition—but give none in return.
I demand that Palestinians accept me as a Jewish state—while refusing to even say the word “Nakba.” I ignore the homes, lands, and history of those I displaced. I hold their keys in museums, not their hands. I deny the refugees their right to return. I make laws that call them “absentees,” even when they’re just over the hill.
I am Israel. I cry antisemitism—when what I fear is accountability.
I call any critic a hater. I blur the line between Judaism and Zionism, using one to shield the crimes of the other. I weaponize history to excuse apartheid. I manipulate trauma to justify conquest. I say “Never again”—but let it happen to others, by my own hand.
I am Israel. I will never be secure.
--- 🇵🇸🇵🇸FREE PALESTINE 🇵🇸🇵🇸 So all the history that you know about Israel starts from 1947, just about 75 years ago! Congratulations! Just last week, PM Netanyahu told the world about the artefact that Turkey found which shows evidence of Israel and Jewish ownership of Jerusalem since 2,700 years ago. You are here quoting 1947, 1967 and 2000! |

They supported the apartheid regime back then too using the same excuses and illogical reasons. Sooner ot later, PALESTINE WILL BE FREE. IT WILL HAPPEN IN MY LIFE TIME. South Africa apartheid and Mandela are purely man-made and have no Biblical or historical background beyond the adventure of white rule in Africa. Israel has a history dating back to more than 2,000 years, long before UN or UK or US existed. |

slivertongue: Jews are citizens of all European countries, some Asian and Latin American countries. They pull strings globally. A two state solution is good but not the Palestine of Hamas because they will invite endless war. The so called 2-state solution is now a mirage! It could have happened years ago, but no longer possible with what Hamas has done. Israel would make sure they impose themselves on their ancient land Judea and Samaria (the so called West Bank) and declare full sovereignty over it and Jerusalem. The worst that would happen is another war and Israel is ready and they will in again. Hamas has destroyed the prospects of a 2 state solution. |

If I lose 50m, I should be able to write it into future tax otherwise it doesn't make sense Ideally, that should be it. But I strongly doubt if it would be like that. How about those who had been making losses for years and not yet recovered? And even making a paltry N150m gain in a year taxable. I just hope the law would not take effect or be implemented because it would cause huge capital flight from NGX and the country at large. |

HisaacPlus: The famous 1971 handshake between musicians Sunny Ade and Ebenezer Obey.
The handshake is historically instructive as it became newsworthy at the particular time following claims of a rivalry which lasted for many years.
Recently, Ebenezer Obey said the rivalry was a concoction by fans and the media. "The competition between myself and KSA was projected by fans and media. It almost turned our music into politics. I thank God it never happened.
Every time, it was “Obey this, Sunny that”, we both always ensured that we neutralised all that fake rivalry. This was why I said that in one-word musicians should not see themselves as competitors but as contributors to the growth of the Nigerian music industry," he said.
Meanwhile Happy 79th Birthday to a living legend, Juju Maestro, King Sunday Adegeye aka King Sunny Ade 📊 🚨King Sunny Ade isFirst Nigerian Artiste to be nominated for Grammy in 1983 for his work "Synchro System" 📀🎵
- He took JuJu music to the world🌎 Sunny contributed his quota to Juju music. But we should stop using all this Grammy award thing to judge or rate musicians. Bob Marley never won a Grammy but he i far greater and better than most of those that won those awards. If you watched and listen to Ebenezer Obey's shows and gigs in Europe,US and Canada earlier, you would realize that every one of them did their best. |

I don't think you can migrate the shares to your trading account. It is either you sell or you leave the shares in the CSCS account. That is your main account with the NGX/SEC and your shares are even more secure and safer in the CSCS. Every shares that you have must appear in the CSCS account, otherwise you don't own the shares anymore |

Please, how do I make my OANDO bonus tradable? It is showing in my CSCS account, but not in my trading account. I contacted Morgan more than two weeks ago, but nothing seems to have been done Usually, the trading account is with your broker, and it would show transactions that you have done through them (buying/selling/cash deposits/withdrawals) and the cash balance. Share bonuses given by companies normally go directly into your CSCs account without passing through your broker, hence those would not appear in your trading (broker's) account. But once you are sure the shares are in your CSCS account, you can sell directly if you have online access or you fill a mandate form and give to your broker to sell on your behalf and the cash proceeds will be credited to your trading account.. |
