ProphetUtuocha:My ''Oando Prophet'' is balling. I knew Oando has huge prospects since over 2-3 years ago when I started accumulating; but the confidence and assurance in your comments/predictions about the company gave me added vibes. Please release the hints on the new jewel that you said you have. |
BullBearMkt:You these experts have come again with your analysis and charts! Lol! I can smell value in an upstream oil and gas company from afar! The cloud over Oando has been blown away (at least for now and in the short term) but people are still in state of inertia! |
ProphetUtuocha:The ''Oando Prophet'' is laughing at his doubters! Please drop more ''Prophetic insights'' if/when available |
Agbalowomeri:The news came late yesterday. Most people got to know only this morning., and today is 18th. The bids may not skyrocket suddenly but the price will surely cross the N20 mark soonest. If the company should make profits for Q2 2024, then the price and bids can jump sporadically! People should plan for the long term if they really want to make big profits from Oando |
Agbalowomeri:Some people are waiting to buy more Oando at their preferred price range. Let those that want to dump start asap |
fergie001:A few confused, senseless bunch of people! It is totally stupid to say a 16 or 17 year old student who has [assed all his/her exams including JAMB should not be offered admission and such person must re-write the same exams when he is 18 years old , when there is no guarantee for automatic admission. People are obtaining PhD at age 23-25years in more progressive countries, while we are here supprressing the pace of progress of people. Enter university at 18 plus 6 or 7 years due to ASUU strike, plus 1 year of NYSC. You come out at 25 years and then you go for masters because jobs are scarce. You attend interviews and they say they are looking for 22-25 year old graduates |
megawealth01:I am okay if Wale still wants to delist. At least, it will be at the discretion of genuine shareholders who will decide at the AGM. This court ruling will check and reset whatever whims and caprices of any big man that may want to mess up with shareholders investments in Oando. Again, SEC has refused to answer his application for ''No Objections'' to the Scheme of Arrangement ordered by the court. Nobody in Oando right now will try any foolish tricks with investors, at least for some time to come. They can choose to delist in 2025 or later, after people have made some good fortunes with their investments or gamble. |
megawealth01:That is the hallmark of great guys. Calm, Cool, Mega-wealthy and content! |
bovali:Good morning, beautiful, brainy lady madam! Hope you are doing great this morning. I am just saying ''hi'' to you, from Oando Junction, NGX Avenue. |
megawealth01:You now have to join a very long queue! There was something about how ProphetUtuocha was talking with so much confidence about Oando. But you people that know too much found all the excuses/reasons to doubt him. It is still early days yet, but I knew that Oando can never delist at a price below market price. It can NEVER happen, even if they decide to delist. |
megawealth01:The ever smiling megawealth01, my main man! Are you still sticking to ''Wale is not credible'', ''Wale is the problem'', ''Oando is a dangerous gamble" theory? When will you take a deep dive and go deeper into the gold mine? |
yMcy56:Oando is on its way to N25-N30, no matter what the ''doubting Thomases'' say! It has been undervalued for far too long, and the people that know too much failed to see the handwriting on the wall. |
SonofElElyonRet:If you are okay with the current market price and sure of your target profit or investment goal in the short term, then it is better you buy on the floor. You can also wait a bit to see if the price will drop further and buy on the floor The rights issue is better if you are willing to wait for a period before the shares are allotted to you, and it also cheaper than the current market price. |
Testimonies777:My brother, let us focus more on what is likely to happen in Oando between now and end of the year. My feeling is that Oando will be coming to the market to raise funds, very soon. It is already disclosed in their financial report that they will be coming to raise funds around the 2nd quarter of this year, but this was delayed by the court case. Now that the case is dead, interested investors need to beef up their holdings in Oando because the biggest chain holding it back has now been broken! If they do not come to the market to raise funds , I can see them do a bonus issue in the nearest future, very soon. |
Raider76:There are two cases, though related and being consolidated: the initial case was between the 14 minority shareholders vs Oando; and the other case was instituted by 5 other minority shareholders against the 14 shareholders which the court has just ruled on. This ruling has surely, indirectly determined the fate of the first case between the 14minorty shareholders vs Oando. Now, the court has ruled that its earlier instruction that Oando should file a Scheme Arrangement for the acquisition of shares of all minority shareholders should now be limited or restricted to only the shares of the 14 minority shareholders that went to court. Therefore the court has made the 14 minority shareholders to suffer the consequence of their action. They are to get N7.07 per share unless they reach a compromise with Oando or they withdraw the case. They were stupid enough to maintain N7.07 as the offer price when the shares were already selling at N10-N16 per share for a year . The court saw the irrationality in this and allowed the 5 other minority shareholders to join the case, and threw the 14 minority shareholders out. The case coming up in October is the original case between the 14 shareholders and Oando. That is when Oando will therefore file a revised Scheme of Arrangement to acquire the shares of the 14 shareholders only at N7.07 per share if no compromise or withdrawal happens between now and October. |
talk2me2:How did you know it was fake without waiting to confirm or verify? |
Bokajimike:I would suggest that you choose Germany for some reasons. a. You can get many postgraduate or Master degree courses that are tuition-free, even for international students. Some courses that charge fees that are very low e.g. Euro 650 per semester. PhD is also free in Germany b. Germany has the biggest economy and job market in Europe c. English is widely spoken and you can get a job with English language. d. You can network/travel/migrate easily from Germany to other European countries to explore opportunities. e. Cost of living in Germany should be a bit lower than Canada f. You should find other Nigerians/Africans that would enable you settle faster in Germany. h. Germany does not change their immigration rules as frequently and drastically as Canada |
megawealth01:Is it really true that the court has declined the Oando delisting? What is the next strategy from you elders in the house, on this Oando matter? I am here to learn and learn! |
Bagwa:Please kindly confirm the source. I hope you are not playing games with our emotions and passion; there is a lot at stake in this Oando case, so please let us know if this is factual and true by indicating the source. |
4willer:I may be wrong but I don't think Oando will be supplying crude to Dangote. At the last AGM, Oando said almost all its sales and receivables are now in USD; and I don't think it would be in the best interest of the nation if Dangote should be buying Nigerian crude in USD. I think NUPRC would find a way to ensure that the domestic supply obligation to Dangote is be done in Naira (to ease pressure on USD/Naira rate and the local price of refined products), while Oando would still supply its foreign customers in USD. |
Paraman:Is it a crime if his children work in CBN and NNPC even though they may be suitably qualified and competent on the job? Is there any high ranking politician in Nigeria who does not have a child or relative fixed to work in government MDAs? It is just petty and shallow for the government to remove him as Chief Whip just because he called Tinubu out. It shows that the government is not willing to listen to critical voices contrary to what the sycophants are telling Tinubu |
Raider76:Exactly my point. The use of past financial results and pre-existing financial ratios is good but it has its limitations. I rely on such ratios when I am dealing with stocks for purpose of consistent dividends. But it is a different thing entirely when dealing with a company like Oando that had gone through some difficult past years and has now restructured its business (from downstream to the lucrative upstream sector) in a highly capital-intensive industry like oil and gas. There is no upstream company on the NGX that is not doing fine averagely, so Oando will not be an exception. I believe they will churn out improved financial results when they stabilize . They had to face those challenges, some of which are natural and artificial barriers of entry in the upstream sector. |
megawealth01:It is a combination of both; People should just be moderate or cautious in their expectations in the short term; but Oando holds huge potential in the long term. My expectations are more in the long term, if they do not delist. |
KarlTom:Oando would go down for sure, for sometime. It cannot stay up for too long; several interests are at play. I hope it gets to my bargain price so I can buy some few units. |
bovali:Okay, that is fair enough! Oando was good enough for you to enter, make 40% and exit, at a time when they had neither finalized the ENI deal nor incorporated the inflows from the acquisition in their financials. Some people are now saying that with the conclusion of the deal, Oando is now also good enough for them to enter, as they see better prospects in the company. The ''Merciful Lord'' that guided, protected you whilst in the ''Oando bus'' and made you to alight safely with 40% booty will also do same for those who decide to remain or join in the bus, until they get to their destination and alight safely! Say Amen, sister! Cunning man die, cunning man bury am! |
naturalflow:The same bovali has stated clearly that she also bought some units of Oando. So who is saving who, now? |
shoodboi2:Underground canals in Lagos cannot work. It will be choked with dirt and waste in less than 3 months. Underground canals work best in environments where most of the landscape is covered with concrete-paved floors and the people do not dumb wastes into drainage channels. |
ProphetUtuocha:I recall you saying that before end of 2024, Oando would make 400% on the price in January 2024. Oando was averagely about N10 in January 2024. The last time Oando was N5 was somewhere in 2023, if I am not mistaken. So what is the base period for the prediction of growth in price? Year 2023 or January 2024? And how could N17.5 be 200%+ gain on N10? I share and appreciate your optimism about Oando, but the calculation is no jelling for me. |
Choiceguy:I recall Prophet saying that before end of 2024, Oando would make 400% on the price in January 2024. Oando was averagely about N10 in January 2024. ProphetUtuocha:Hi Prophet, although I share in some of your optimism, I don't think Oando has achieved 200%+ since when you first made the prediction. You may correct me if I am wrong |
immortalcrown:Worse than a terrible government. A totally useless and clueless government. |
megawealth01:If I may ask, what is SEC doing for Oando? If my memory is right, the toughest battle Oando had to fight was the battle against SEC. They spent a lot of time battling in court on so many issues. Even the SEC forced them to pay equivalent of USD600m to some shareholders, all against Oando's will. At the end, they opted for out-of-court settlement. Oando has also applied to SEC for a ''no-objection'' approval for its proposed delisting, but SEC has not consented to the request. |
