God1000:Let the Palestinians go and have their ''state'' on their own land, wherever they find it. You cannot ask for an independent ''state'' on another man's land just because you have been living on the land for some time. By the way, the Israelis and US rely on each other for top notch intelligence. This could have been done by Israel with or without the input of CIA |
God1000:Let the Palestinians go and have their ''state'' on their own land. You cannot ask for an independent ''state'' on another man's land just because you have been living on the land for some time. |
Raider76:Let them move out. I want the price to drop further so I can buy more. For me, Oando is more of a long term deal. |
Mankind2024:What you typed (bolded) is not peculiar to Oando alone. It happens to all stocks in the NGX market. It is probably also happening to the stocks in your own portfolio as well, so the potential risk/exposure is systemic (i.e. market-wide) and not specific to only Oando. The potential future earnings, assets and potentials of Oando may outweigh the current debts and liabilities. Industry and market analysts/watchers do consider a lot of these factors. Have you estimated the value/worth of all the oil production resources (OML, OPL etc.) that Oando commands, especially after the ENI deal.? The value of those assets alone far outweigh the debts and liabilities. |
TheBillyonaire:I am not a fan of Tinubu. In fact, he is a failure and clueless president. But where is the evidence that Oando has set up a refinery in Malta? Where are the authentic documents of incorporation that were obtained from the Registrar of Companies in Malta that show that Oando has set up refinery in Malta? Do you know Oando acquired Conoco Philips for $1.5b in 2014? Conoco Philips is bigger than Agip So the same Oando cannot acquire Agip for $500m in 2024 because Tinubu is president or what? |
SonofElElyonRet:Lol!😊Human beings and anything that would yield legitimate money! Truth be told, Prophet's confidence in Oando has helped me to believe more and stay focused. |
IbeOkehie:Why must you use the price at the so-called ''international market'' to determine the cost of what you have at your backyard? Do you buy water in Nigeria at the price of the international market? Do you buy Coca-Cola in Nigeria at the price they sell it in New York? Do you pay Nigerian workers the same rate their contemporaries are paid abroad in London or Paris? So why single out fuel and apply this useless ''International price parity'' as an argument? What the government has been forcing on us is the forex differential costs on imported fuel which they call ''subsidy''! it is not ''subsidy'' in the real sense of the world because we have the commodity locally. The real subsidy should be based on how much it would cost us to produce the product locally and the selling price. There is no single member of OPEC that is doing the foolish thing our government has been doing by exporting crude and importing refined products! |
Payunsin:Whether Oando is a gamble or not, the bottom line is for you to make money from it or any other stocks of your choice. When you gamble in the stocks market, you can lose or make money. When you invest in the stocks market, you can also lose or make money. What matters is for to calibrate the potential risks and rewards and take a dive, either way. What is an investment to you could be someone's gamble. Those who are saying Oando is a gamble or an investment are doing so based on their investment goals or information at their disposal, among other factors. |
Omoawoke:Nigerians want better life but you cannot hold your leaders to account. Yet when other countries are able to do it in their country, you rush to get visa to go and enjoy in those countries. No body would fight their leaders in their countries to do the right things, only for you Nigerians to queue for visa and go and mess up the place. Fight for your own better life in your country. A country develops and improves the lives of its people only when the people can hold their government and leaders to account. |
KarlTom:Anything can happen. But the prospects of Oando going above N50 is very high, especially if the HY 2024 financials show positive results. |
SonofElElyonRet:I entered Oando since the days of N4-N5 and I was expecting the worst case outcome even if it was going to delist at N7.07. I decided to treat it as a strategic investment when the price started rising above N7.07 and the court case was still pending. I don't mind keeping the units even if Wale still wants to delist; he cannot pay me below the highest price on the NGX in the six months prior to the AGM. |
yMcy56:OANDO! Money spinner in Town! ![]() Sighted @24.55! Full bid Shhhhh! Why are you making noise about Oando? It may sound very irritating to non-gamblers Please let us just keep quiet and watch how it goes until el-dorado! Let us also respect ProphetUtuocha. His ministry and prophecies may not be fake, even if he doesn't have the real anointing! |
Chinkoalhaji34:There is nothing bold or special about this. The Dangote Refinery is too important and strategic for Nigeria to mess around with. Any other president would have made the same decision! |
BABANGBALI:Useless conspiracy theories for those who would make themselves ''useful idiots'' for your lies. ''Agip Oil operates 17 onshore oil blocks and produces 11 million barrels of oil and condensates annually, and it also manages the Bonny natural gas liquefaction plant. One might wonder why such a successful company would divest 100% of such a critical asset'' a. Why don't you raise a disciplinary query against the management of NAOC/ENI for them to respond to the above? b. Your company did not do any fucking investigation! Mention the places you visited in Malta for the crooked investigations that your company ''conducted'' in less than 1 week after the news of Malta came out? ''Ras Hanzir Oil Terminal Limited won the bidding. It is owned and operated by the Tinubu family, with Wale Tinubu, who is also the chairman of Oando PLC, serving as its chairman along with other members of the Tinubu family and their associates''. c. Where are the evidence? Where are the authentic company incorporation/registration documents that your company obtained from the Registrar of Companies in Malta that shows that Ras Hanzir Co Ltd. is owned by Nigerians or Wale or Oando? d. Has your company done the investigation of how Oando acquired the assets of Conoco Phillips around 2014 for an amount (USD1.5bn) which was higher than the amount they acquired NAOC/ENI for in 2023/24 (less than USD1b)? e. Has your company done the ''investigations'' on how Oando acquired Unipetrol in 2001/02? f. Has your company done any ''investigations'' on how Oando acquired the downstream assets of Agip (NAOC)? Some Nigerians can be so useless and desperate to the extent of telling blatant lies to score some political point. In 1989, we all joined the anti-SAP riots when it was rumoured that one Ebony Magazine had published a story of the wealth of President Babangida and his wife Maryam Babangida. We believed the story and students protested all over the nation, and people died. At the end of the day, there was nothing like that was published in the magazine! Note: Bola Tinubu may be very corrupt, clueless and useless as president of Nigeria. And I believe so. But that does not give licence for people to write any bullshit and insult the intelligence of people! |
Choiceguy:You may be right to say it is all about speculation. But ProphetUtuocha also said about 2 weeks ago that we should watch out for Oando because of some new developments. This is a time when so many deals/proposals may be going on in the company in the background (e.g. sourcing partnerships for funds, raising of capital on NGX, bonus issues to compensate shareholders etc.) that may be known to only a few people, who may then be placing heavy bids that move the price. Anything could be responsible. |
Raider76:Oando's next financial results expected in Sept 2024. But I guess there are some developments in the company that are making the price to rise in recent days. |
Choiceguy:The big people here have been with Eterna Oil for some time. They know themselves ( I no go mention any name) Only some ''small boys'' like myself have been making noise and doing strong head about Oando. |
KarlTom:Lol. It seems you are doing some background checks/research on Oando |
Emir01:The decision to buy or not will depend on several factors that only you can decide on: i. your understanding of the stocks that you want to buy e.g. prospects of the company, the sector/industry etc. ii. your investment goal: e.g. are you buying to make a specific capital (price) gain in the short term or holding for dividends in future.? iii. your risk appetite i.e. are you ready to take risk without panicking even if the price falls drastically along the way? iv. your investment horizon: for how long a period are you prepaid to invest your money without having to sell? v. are you investing your own funds or borrowed funds? etc. I will suggest you do some due diligence, read and consult people who know about the operations and prospects of the stocks (Oando) etc. |
Emir01:Yes, you can still buy shares of any company that is listed on NGX, including Oando. If you are new in the stock market, just get in touch with a registered/licensed stock broking firm and they will will guide you through the process. |
Pesuzok:You these Oando people just want each and every corporate action or information on this single ENI-Oando deal to lead to a separate bull run. Na wa oooo! |
Streetinvestor2:You see why it is not good to just believe any rumours and stories online until it is verified with credib;e evidence.? Just a few hours ago today, you rushed to say that I should not be blinded to defend Wale Tinubu/Oando just because I bought Oando shares and that Dangote must be sure of what he said even though he did not mention anybody's name! I have witnessed a lot of lies, rumours and cooked stories against successful people in this country, including Dangote himself! |
ProphetUtuocha:How far with updates about the new developments in Oando that you mentioned 2 days ago? |
Obrigardo:Call for a leader defending his people and country from terrorists to be jailed? You would not be typing these if your siblings or loved ones were among the people that were killed on October 7. |
monerozi5590:What Oando acquired recently from Agip (ENI) are some of the assets producing crude oil (i.e. upstream) |
Streetinvestor2:;; Good! Let's make money together and extricate ourselves from the financial mess in the country, and share positive ideas. Personally, I have benefitted from the ideas and suggestions of a lot of people on this forum. Even though I personally discovered the hidden value in Oando and started accumulating several years ago (when it was around N3-N5), people like ProphetUtuocha and others have made me develop more confidence to buy more. I am just watching and doing my calculations quietly! Like play, like play monkey dey chop banana.😊 |
Streetinvestor2:I cannot remember me attacking you. I don't think anybody has accused me of attacking him/her on this forum, so why would I attack you of all people?. You said the 5 minority shareholders that went to court to join the case and oppose the delisting and the initial14 minority shareholders that requested for the delisting are all doing the bidding of Wale Tinubu. I only gave an devise that we should avoid spreading unfounded stories or news in order not to mislead people. And you made a lot of derogatory remarks against me, which I ignored. At the end of it all, the court has given judgement and it has proved the 5 minority shareholders right, which aligns with those of us that originally believed that Wale was not necessarily behind all the court cases, especially as ProphetUtuocha was consistent in saying with the confidence of an insider that Oando was not going to delist. Now, after you made those derogatory remarks, and you later changed your mind, how does it make you feel and what image are you presenting of yourself to people? |
yMcy56:Some days ago, ProphetUtuocha had said that we should watch out for Oando because some new developments were going to come up. Those developments may be the reason behind the recent performance of Oando. Insiders may be the ones mopping up as much as they can and making the price to rise. The new developments Prophet talked about is not the signing of the deal, because the deal had been certified done, sealed and delivered by NUPRC. All said and done, I am also interested in Oando doing well and rising higher. |
Streetinvestor2:I am mature, educated and sensible enough not to just swallow and believe any rumours or insinuations online, like this one without evidence. Dangote may be very correct to say that some people own a refinery in Malta where they import refined products into Nigeria. But did Dangote mention any names? The ownership of a private, limited liability company is not conjured by the whims and caprices of any person or blogger or politician. It is based on the documents of incorporation and evidence of the ultimate beneficial ownership. So those who are now mentioning specific names must provide the documents of incorporation to back up their claims. Nigerians are very good at conjuring rumours and stories and linking them to leaders, rich men, their families, friends and associates, especially if those leaders are unpopular or performing badly in governance or politics. I witnessed how rumours and lies of an alleged publication in Ebony Magazine about the wealth of former President Babangida and his wife, Maryam Babangida, among other things, led to the 1989 SAP riots by students which led to the death of many people. Almost every youth and student in the country believed the story, including myself. At the end of the day, the whole thing was all false, but people died for the lies.! I don't have the right to call anyone a criminal or scam if I don't have some reasonable basis or evidence against such person. I will wait until when I see the evidence then I will join the chorus to call names even if it is Wale Tinubu or Oando. I refuse to be a useful idiot for some bloggers or politicians! (credit to Netanyahu). |
Kanixt:Do you believe this kind of news about Ras Hanzir Oil Company in Malta? I will wait until they publish the whole details of the company and its registration number, corporate address, name and signature of Registrar of Companies in Malta (that signed the incorporation documents), and the address etc. before I believe. Nigerians are very good at creating and spreading lies, rumours and conspiracy theories. Like someone rightly pointed out, oando bought the assets of Unipetrol, Agip and Conoco Phillips when Bola Tinubu was nowhere the presidency. So buying ENI's Nigerian Agip Oil Company (NAOC) upstream assets should not be a big surprise. But Tinubu's government has been very clueless, corrupt, incompetent, a disappointment and big failure, hence it is easy for people to believe this kind of news. |
