SonofElElyonRet: Dangote refinery wa nko? Alhaji's refinery is midstream/downstream (not upstream like Seplat, Oando and Aradel). If FG does not sabotage it with the naira for crude, supply shortage and refined products imports, it could probably outstrip the upstream companies because it enjoys some unique monopoly advantage. But the IPO price may affect how much of it investors could buy and benefit going forward. |

Meanwhile, no amount of insult will make Macron deploy his soldiers for Israel's war. Benjamin Netanyahu want war with Iran so badly, so let him deploy the IDF and Mossad to Iran for fight and stop looking for who will fight their war. I guess you claim to love Iran?. Netanyahu, IDF and Mossad have already done huge damage to Iran and you want them to do more? Okay, tell the new Ayatollah and Iranian leaders to come out of hiding; l want to check something! |

KarlTom: Sadly I doubt USofA will chicken out.
They won't want to admit losing the war neither will they want to abandon Israel. I'm optimistic it'll end soon but the 'how' is still a mystery... How has US ''lost'' the war? The US is trying to avoid bombing and destroying everything in Iran, because it would affect the innocent civilians (who even protested against the Ayatollah regime), and also affect the global oil prices. If not for US restraint, Israel would have destroyed all the oil, power, water, and other economic infrastructure in Iran. The problem that US has is Donald Trump himself, because he talks too much and is inconsistent and unstable. Some of the things he says are totally unnecessary and unpresidential, and that is what Iran is taking advantage of |

megawealth01: So in other words the potentials in OANDO is extremely huge na Wale just dey dul things? To me, the potential is second only to SEPLAT. If they can tidy up the accounts and are able to attract enough capital to clear the debts, Oando can easily clock N200 and even N500+ in few more years. The power plant itself can be ramped up to full capacity to create more value and money for investors |

naturalflow: I don't get it!are you an advocate to wale or oando? This is the same issue with the APC govt and where we are today.eeeeem PDP did it in 2years,give APC a chance!till today we are still giving them chance. I am no advocate to no one. I am only expressing an opinion on what I think is realistically possible within a time frame of less than 18months. According to experts it takes an average of about 30-36months to build a power plant of 350-400mw, assuming power generation is the core and sole focus of the company. But we all know Oando is primarily an Oil producing company so their focus would most likely be first and foremost, to increase the production of oil from assets acquired from NAOC, Angola etc, then ramp up in other areas afterwards. So comparing it to another company iwhose core business is power generation is misplaced. And 18 months is not a realistic time line to jump from 350mw to 900mw! That is my point. And the figures are inaccurate. When we discuss issues we should try and do so from a broad perspective based on facts and be willing to listen to contrary opinions. We all want to make money from our investments in these companies |

ciao Your are correct! Fantastic. 2013 to 2017 is ''two years'' indeed.! And 160mw to 620mw is ''525%'' indeed.! Meanwhile Sep2024 to March 2026 is not yet 2 years, so let us keep pushing them! |

"" Key Milestones and Achievements Capacity Turnaround: At the time of the physical takeover on November 1, 2013, the plant was generating only 160 MW. Within just two years, Transcorp increased this by over 525%, reaching 620 MW by 2017.""
above states that Tony increase Ughelli capacity by 525% within two years of take over.
Not only that there was clear communication on intent by Tony all through the two years, is there any communication from Oando by now. i remember vividly that after the two years increase there was also clear communication by Tony that the target was 1000 and they will be partnering with GE to achieve same
let us continue to defend/ support mediocrityy/ cunningness/ greediness It is okay. Never intended this to be a back and forth issue. You are 10000000% correct and right! 2013 to 2017 is two years indeed! |

you have something that you have not fully exploited; barely exploiting 30-40% of its value then you go and buy an extra piece of the same thing. and start making media round to celebrate same.
its okayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy Maybe you did not read my earlier post very well. My question was how do you expect them to do it in 12-18months; before you responded by making reference to Tony did at Ugheli |

robobo: How did Tony increase the capacity of Ughelli ? Tell us if he did it in 12-18 months, immediately after he acquired it. Transcorp Power transaction took place several years before now. It is good to push Oando to do it, but I am not sure such was feasible in 12-18months considering the fact that it Is part of a larger set of assets acquired from NAOC |

Kaliningrad: Iran has destroyed more US aircrafts, oil tankers, bases, radars, air defense systems, factories and industries in just one month than Ukraine has in 4 years.
The US has lost 26 aircrafts/drones in only 1 months of war. Imagine how much they'll lose in 6 months.
Iran would probably come out of this war a nuclear power, unless they're governed by extremely dvmb people. Is it because US has restrained Israel from bombing and destroying all the economic and social infrastructures in Iran because of the possible effects on civilians? Iran is behaving like a dying horse kicking anyhow. If the power, energy, water systems etc had been destroyed by Israel, Iran would not have any platform or capacity to use to fire those missiles. |

Oando has not fully utilised the full 960MW capacity of Kwale-Okpai Power Plant but is going after / procuring another 60 MW turbine.
Bunch of unserious people. if they are serious, by now the utilisation of Kwale-Okpai Power Plant should have moved from the about 300-350 they took over from NAOC to its full capacity of 960 mw. Also talk should have been in place to spin it off as an entity standing alone on NGX thereby maximising its value and releasing some cashflow for Oando itself but i guess that is not immediately gratifying like the 60mw.
Unserious bunch. You may have solid points of concern. just some curiosity: If NAOC operated the power plants for several years and handed it over to Oando at only 300-350mw in Aug/Sep 2024, how do you expect Oando to move and almost triple the capacity to 960mw just after about 12-18months? |

PropTrader: If history is to repeat, then Unity Bank shareholders will likey be paid in cash. Shareholders of the savings and loans companies, including Spring Mortgage, that were acquired or merged with United Mortgage before it transmuted to Providus Bank were all paid cash for their shares. If Providus owner does a share exchange then his shareholder base will balloon beyond 50 shareholders and he will be forced to converr to a Plc by law. I doubt he want to run a Plc for now. It will be interesting to see their rights issue circular. It should throw some light but in absence of that I tend to believe he will pay off the shareholders in cash. It's the cheaper option for him in the long run. Yeah...you are right |
