There are no rules to marriage. There are no guarantees that courting for ten years will guarantee a long marriage neither does courting for two days mean you will divorce in six months


You people should stop making marriage look like an overly difficult thing, it is not a cult initiation . Last year, we read of a couple that dated for two weeks and have been married for fifty years.


There are couples who never even dated, but have long lasting marriages. There are also couples who dated for seven to ten years and somehow, couldn't last two years in the marriage, ask Meghanarkle about her long courtship and short marriage.


It is fear of the unknown that makes you guys make these unfounded comments.


If you have not gotten your shiiit together, then, don't come here to make those who have look reckless, when they are probably smarter than you.

I kind of agree with her, although their own two months is too early in my own opinion. But the point is that guys should learn to be more serious with their life and be sure of what they want.They should stop wasting girls time because of their indecisiveness and nonchalant attitude.

I agree with everything, those that date a woman for years aren't serious. Getting to know someone especially someone you intend to call your wife takes a lifetime. In my opinion in just one meeting or even a day, you will know if this person is meant for you or not. The signs are always there.

Men, I really hate to burst your bubbles for starters, but if you care to really look around you, you'll be amazed to see how many women hold the reigns of financial power in their homes. More often than not, I see women who gladly bail their husbands out on occasion, financially.

Now I know that might not be representing the majority. There is only one way to view this in my opinion, and I dare say most of the foregoing postings have been so far removed from the truth. It is unacceptable for a woman to fall in love with a man or be remotely influenced so to fall based on the strength of his bank account and assets. Understandably, it is an added advantage for a woman to marry a man who is well settled but it is by no means a criterion, or at least should not be.

In a scenario where I am married to a guy who is significantly wealthier than I am, we definitely will STILL pool our resources together to run the household. It is [I]NON SEQUITOR[/I] (most definitely does not follow) that because I take care of our kids, cook, wash, clean and do whatever it is I do for my husband, he must show his appreciation monetarily. How preposterous! How utterly untrue. It does not work that way, mate.

On the other hand, if a guy is wealthy and gets married to a girl from a humble background, the onus lies on him to bring her up to his standard. Since no 2 cases are the same, if in the process of bringing up the said woman, he realises that she is over demanding, he has every right to tighten the strings on his purse. If such a man is deliberately stingy or overtly frugal with economic matters with his wife, then he most certainly is asking for trouble and trust me…. He’ll get it eventually.

I know this is long, but I think it was absolutely necessary to set the record straight. You guys keep talking about us like you live in our skirts, think like we do or have the slightest idea what makes us tick. It would be a very lovely world not to mention peaceful if you men knew what women really want.

I don’t need to. They would be very scared to try that rubbish in my world. They are little boys trying to build confidence as you put it by intimidating and harrassing harmless people.

Problem with socialisim....you don't always have enough cash for all the 'welfare' programmes you want to run...

So you charge high taxes on everyone...poor people inclusive.

You confiscate the wealth of the rich to pay for welfarist programmes.....which works till you run out of rich people.

The UK has the NHS...which provides free health care for everyone....at the expense of high taxation for everyone...and it has a lot of debt.
