[You are right.... no more recruitment for EH.... its unfortunate that we were not young enough to compete with the GTs..... move on guys.. everything has been concluded . quote author=1947Victor post=89055408]Like I said some time ago here, I know two EH persons who were given APL, they have concluded their documentation too. More EH recruitment will go on but on a per need and per influence basis. Let's think of other productive things to do. I missed this one but hopefully something good comes up. Stay positive and take your mind off this recruitment while doing something else. It is well
Right now they are looking inward. |
No wonder they are always deducting money in a questionable way as tax and other deduction from my account. |
No wonder they collect high tax rate. They are broke. They are stealing customers money. Was shocked how money was deducted from my account |
EH was suppose to be 400 quote author=SenatorJChris post=89039146]Final nail on the coffin. What began as side talks of which many disputed has become a reality. Sadly there was no plan for EH ab initio. The fact that they took over a thousand GT gave no room for EH.
That's why I have zero respect for them. Am not sure they have up to 20 ventilators. Instead of focusing on what's important which is restructuring the health sector. |
TENSION IN DELTA AS OML 42 WORK FORCE CHALLENGES NPDC/NECONDE ON WELFARE – THE LIBERATOR DeltaFeaturedNewsTop Stories Tension In Delta As OML 42 Work Force Challenges NPDC/NECONDE On Welfare – The Liberator April 29, 2020 Liberator News Rejects Continues Stay In Location Without Salaries, Arrears Says OML 42 might run Auto or Shutdown By Binebai Princewill The entire work force of OML 42, comprising Jones Creek, Egwa 1, Odidi and Batan Flow Stations operated by the Nigeria Petroleum Development Company (NPDC) and NECONDE Joint Venture in Warri South West Local Government Area of Delta State have challenged the JIV to immediately pay their outstanding salaries and arrears. The Work Force rejected the arrangement of the NPDC/NECONDE Joint Venture to keep them in an houseboat for another 14 weeks. According to a source who hinted The Liberator Newspaper on behalf of the Work Force in OML 42 but would not want his name to be mentioned in print noted that the facility might soon be witnessing auto operation or total shut down as a means of pressing for their welfare. The source explained that the normal tradition prior to now is for every crew to work two weeks, adding that as of today, the 29th of April 2020, the workers have been working on the facility for 43 days. He noted that the past 43 days has been hell for them without payment of their salaries and arrears, stressing that inadequate and irregular feeding pattern has become the order of the day as they are gradually dying of hunger and starvation. The Work Force particularly described the type of treatment given to them as a master servant relationship, maintaining that they can’t continue in such manner. They insists that the said house boat the JIV is said to be planning to move the workers to has been allegedly abandoned for long. However, in an email forwarded to workers of the NPDC/NECONDE, says the workers should prepare for the house boat as the directive will be effective on April 30th 2020. The email reads in full below: Dear all, Following DPR’s guidelines for crew changes to manage the COVID-19 Pandemic, the AMT management has approved a strategy for the commencement of the crew changes as follows; P.O.B: 126, Methodology: one person per room Accommodation: Usage of Jones Creek Houseboat Victory-1 with a 32-room Staggered crew changes that is completed in 8 weeks’ time 25% of the crew will each stay on site for 14 weeks, 12weeks, 10 weeks & 8 weeks respectively Arrangements will be made for sanitizers and fumigation of the Victory 1 houseboat after each use Arrangements also for Extra food + dry ration for 126 persons) 32 persons for each batch Commencement date: Thursday, 30th April, 2020. The attached should be used by the various manpower companies copied here to nominate a quarter of their staff for each crew change batch till the whole crew change has been completed successfully Kindly assist to make this worthwilel Thank you Best Regards As Always….? In their reaction to the email, the Work Force noted that to quarantine OML 42 workers at the alleged abandoned house boat, VICTORY 1 in Jones Creek, Gbaramatu Kingdom, Warri South West Local Government Area of Delta State poses great risk to communities in the area, adding that it is inhuman to prevent them from seeing their families. They alleged that every other Oil facilities have done their crew change, stressing that OML 40, 30, 34 operated by Chevron and NPDC JIV have since done their crew changes with workers being quarantined in hotels for two weeks. It would be recalled that the Odidi flow station in OML 42 was shut down by the workers on the 17th of April 2020 as a protest for the non payment of salaries and other entitlements. The Liberator Newspaper can report that the station was later opened after the swift intervention of stakeholders, but the workers are still insisting for another lockdown as their salaries and other entitlements have not been paid. Meanwhile, the Work Force has called on the Federal Government, State Government, PENGASSAN, NLC, NUPENG, Delta State Commissioner for Oil and Gas as well as other relevant agencies to wade into the matter before it degenerates into something else. All efforts geard towards reaching out to officials of the NPDC/NECONDE proves abortive as at the time of filling this report. |
This isnt the first time oil price is crashing.. it's a worldwide problem. And I believe the vaccine would be out soon. To be able to control the pandemic, so business can commence. quote author=Biaso post=88783668]It's as a result of the pandemic. When things pick up, demand will increase and the prices will gradually pick up. It makes sense that drilling operations shutdown, cause you can't keep producing without selling.

[I was opportuned to discuss with some soldiers, and we talked heart to heart they told me the challenges they had in fighting bokoharam, which one of the main reason was how the fight against bokoharam wasnt sincere... and how the military was polarised. Many atimes people feed bokoharam with informations and thts their surviving power. quote author=MERCHANDISER post=88099475]Western media has made everything non_western evil. We need to sit down and look at it logically. Nigeria has been struggling to fight BH for decade, US has never shown any genuine support, infact, at a time they're were technically supporting BH by blocking every opportunity to access weapons. Whereas, the same US has been building sophisticated millitary bases all over Africa with several billions of dollars even all over islands in Africa. In a continent struggling to provide as basic thing as clean water, road, edu, etc. In term of infrastructural development, US hasnt built anything tangible anywhere in Africa despite her big economy and influence. On the other hand, China is building projects across Africa from electricity to train to Airport, roads, scholarships to Africans, etc even with their own money. Let's say we can't pay and they take over them, who would still be using those infrastructure, Chinese? At least they brought them here, so if we can't pay back and they take over them these things would still be in use by Africans and improve quality of life, just like every private business. US/Trump that everyone is supporting call Africans all kinds to unprintable names, visa ban, reporting weak sides of African nations and continuously ridiculing everything we do. The list is long. China hasnt done any of these yet, western media still find their ways into the hearts of Africans to hate Chinese. Sadly, enough some fake pastors joined this brainwashed citizens. Look at China, how many times have they tumbled African govt? How many nations have China invaded in Africa? How many times has Chinese embassy criticize our local affairs? Etc New York started have underground train in 1809, that's 200yrs, they never extended such to Africa. China started booming just 20yrs ago and they've extended everything technology they have to us, that have improved our lives; From phones, train, Good Airport, Naval ship, Telecom, Roads, scholarships, etc Africans must sitdown and think. China is not your enemy.

[What is the reason for them being disengaged? quote author=SulSah post=87840401]Many support/staff from the three (3) refineries (PHRC, KRPC & WRPC) were disengaged y’day. They are being notified that their services are no longer needed by the various contractors (whose only job has been to pay them even though they work directly for NNPC but the management hired these contractors to avoid the labour law that prohibit keeping casuals beyond 6months). Everyone affected would fully know by Monday next week but some of them have been informed already.
Good idea... quote author=Greyworld post=87772569]This sounds funny to me. Not like I mean to insult any body o, but I think it's better the FG disburse some of the money intended for this to buying Ventilators and hand sanitizers and PPE. Then the balance should be saved carefully to import the Covid-19 virus vaccines when serious minded people eventually gets them ready. While the Nigerian Institute of one thing one thing should kindly go back to its usually Hybernation. In fact they should all self isolote.
Yes quote author=darella post=87492827]Just asking Are there contract staffs for every discipline/department within NNPC/SBU?

Let's hope any decision taken for EH cadre will be in our favour quote author=freedomest post=87218537]See, NNPC has an organized system that knows what to do to a degree. How can you expect them to wait for GT to accept offer first before considering E.H. NNPC is more than that.

Choose nnpc there is growth. You will thank me later. quote author=Dshiloh post=86923408]I have an issue guys. I need advice I just got the GT APL. Spoke to my firm about it today. They are willing to pay me 7M per annum to stay. Does anyone have an idea of what to expect from NNPC as a GT? Should i ditch the APL or ditch the 7M? I have to make up my mind
Which ever way EH will be concluded soon. Wish us all the best |
Contract staff that did the interview will likely the have upper hand. Just my opinion. quote author=Aremolomi post=86691517]Not so anymore . That was the initial plan . Internal realignment first before considering the EH list . Let all EH just hope for the best .
