Why has the banks not enforced the new fx rate at the inter bank market .. They still charge me at 340 to a dollar for an online purchase today with my master naira card .. We only read about naira appreciation online . What is going on ? Who are those benefiting from this new fx rates ? ..

Until all this things stop before Africa can practice a true liberal democratic states , we are still far from it ..

Same here 1k was deducted from my account yesterday , had to gtconnect and ask why would I be charged for wat I didn't purchased and it was reversed back to my account .. Nigerian banks are the most fraudulent and profitable banks in the world . No regulation at all , they temper with people acct at there own will and we are at there mercy .

Ok , so what then will be the xchange rate this is something that they haven't come out with yet ..the floating of the currency is a short term policy that is aimed at stabilizing the currency and reduce pressure on the foreign reserve , the Cbn intend to make the foreign market an open market in which prices will be determined by market forces , supply and demand and in so doing more dollar will be made available but it remains to be seen what the xchange rate will be against the dollar .hopefully on Monday

The floating of the currency shoul be seen as a short term policy, in this case the Cbn is trying to make the forex market open and that the exchange rate will be determined by supply and demand . Enhance it is another means to ensure the stability of the currency for the time being ..this policy will bring more dollar to the market nd price will be determined by market forces.

Floating of the currency is a way of reducing pressure on our foreign reserve and it's aim is for a short term in other to bring stability to the currency .hence the exchange rate will be determined by the law of supply and demand .
