Oh okay.
Like Mpower was used for both tuition and Living expenses? Or just Tuition? No other funds aside that from you?

Just curious because I'm making research about them and other funders.
Last year Mpower gave funds for both tuition and LE. I have complete funds from Mpower with personal savings of 5m after paying tuition deposit.

Congrats, but please did using MPower in your previous application impact your application negatively? Please let's know for some of us planning to use MPower loan biko.
Not really. Mpower is great, I know lots of people have gotten approvals using Mpower. For my I didn’t have a good repayment plan plus my earnings then was so little.

Congrats !!

Please what do you mean Mpower didn't work?
They rejected the educational loan or it wasn't enough?
I was rejected because my main source of funds was Mpower loan

This may happen if your medical is close to a year.
quote author=milkay post=129592116]My medical passed on Thursday last week but I got an update today and when I checked the medical is blank no more updates.

Plus it’s been over 2 weeks I reapplied but the tracker has not captured my application.

Should I be worried?
Oh I see. My first medical expires April 24, 2024. However, I did another one this year and uploaded it. It’s possible the VO looks at the old medical result which is why it went blank.

I really don’t understand why.

Bro I did 20k GIC last year. I faced the same challenge.
CBN prohibited any fx cash deposit more than 10k$ transfer out of Nigeria.
For you to do fx above 10k to your GIC, you'll need dollar cash deposit of 10k secondly go to aboki tell them you need fx (INFLOW) note inflow is fx that came out of the sures of Nigeria.
With cash deposit of 10k USD then your aboki will source the remaining balance for you as inflow.
Together you can make the GIC deposit.
INFLOWS can be a bit difficult to get and a bit expensive but you can get it, remember GIC does not accept multiple deposit only single
Boss, thank you once again for your kind response. I’ve been trying to get inflow but it’s been difficult. Please are you sure that 10k deposit and the remaining balance as inflow will work (that is I’ll be able to transfer over 10k usd) I managed to get someone who wants to do inflow of $6k to me.

Please boss help me clarify if both deposits and inflow will work or the entire funds must be from inflow.

Thank you so much

Thank you.

Open a domiciliary account here in Nigeria with UBA or any bank, add ur dom account to ur Payoneer account then transfer ur money in dollars to ur dom account, go to bank and withdraw in dollars, I also work for Alibaba from home and I receive my payment in dollars using this method.
Thank you for your kind response. I thought of this at first but Payoneer no longer works with our Nigeria dom account. I was using access bank but they said Fbn stopped funds from Payoneer.

Since you have paid your tuition. Why not do GIC and explain source of your funds in your sop. With this, your tuition and living expenses taken care of. Your challenge will be how you will put out your economic and home ties to be strong and convincing that you will return to Nigeria after your study
Thank you so much for your advice. This simplifies the whole thing. I never gave a thought to GIC because I had the impression that my money will be locked for a year. I’ll do as you have said. No need complicating my application with plenty explanations. Thank you once again.

Please house I need your advise. So I’ve been working as an HR officer in Nigeria and also a freelancer for a known tech company in the US. I earn over 4kusd monthly and I’ve been saving my remote earnings in Payoneer due to the rate at which the naira is depreciating. I’ve paid my full year tuition (it’s a 1 year program) and I’ve saved over 30k usd.

I am trying to move my funds to my naira account for proof of funds. The thing is if I move my COL and miscellaneous from Payoneer to my naira account as a lump sum and I explain with proof will it be a problem since my naira account doesn’t have much inflows due to my usd savings in Payoneer?

Also moving my converting my funds from Payoneer to Naira directly will make me lose some value due to the rate of Payoneer currently is about 769 naira to a dollar.

I don’t know if I can move it from Payoneer to another account (Geegpay) cos the rate is about 801 naira to a dollar? If I do, Geegpay limits payments to 1 million naira a day. If I move 1m every day for say 15 days and I explain to the VO can this fly?

I don’t know which option to go for.

Please I would appreciate your advise. Please help a sister.

Apologies for my long post.

Thank you.

Thank you for your response, pls just to clarify. Can I transfer the funds to my savings account bit by bit and state in my SOP that the funds is from my savings from my salary account and present only my savings account statement?

I'd appreciate your kind response. Thank you

johnstan:
If you have enough POF in your salary account you can, i.e. if you have enough balance after your loan liquidations. If you wouldn't have enough balance just use another account so you don't create a wrong impression with your POF as any VO can and would definitely see your liquidation debit narrations.

Good luck

Hi everyone, pls your advise will be appreciated.
I want to use my salary account as POF (I have enough funds in the account) but I'm currently servicing a loan. When I print out my bank statement, the loan repayment shows (there's no default).

Would this be an issue for my visa application?

Thanks for your response
TravelRe: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 22 by milkay(f): 9:13pm On Nov 06, 2022
Okay I'll do just this. Thank you so much
Thomsyne:
Yup, include all of what you mentioned in your SOP. Given that you have full custody, it'd help with the home ties.

Hello everyone,

Please I need some advise.
I'm recently divorced with a kid and I intend going for my studies without my child. I have full custody and a court order granting monthly upkeep from his dad. Do I need to include this information in my SOP? If yes, do I need to explain where he would live and who would take care of him while I am away in my SOP for study visa?

I'd appreciate your kind responses. Thank you
