ChiefOloye:
I remember when the loan was being disbursed. One of my colleagues brought it to our office, through his elder sister. They applied codedly, without letting some of us who were not in their circle know about it.
The unfortunate part is some of the beneficiaries used part of loan to settle NIRSAL people who facilitated the loans for them, since they told them it was grant ( free money ).
Anyway, I know few of the beneficiaries that have japa, they may have escaped the forcibly repayment, except they still maintain their Naira accounts.
They would maintain their naira accounts which is linked to their BVN as they can not afford to be transacting in naira using other people's account, make their money no enter one chance.

If two grown up man and woman cohabit to train sound future leaders, they are better than a married couple who born menace to the society..
Your narrative of how nigeria marriages crashing more than other countries is of ur own view and interest...
It is even more in the West that two grown grown up man and woman cohabit to have and train sound future leaders, dem no dey carry marriage for head as many of my Caucasian colleagues have children with their partners who they live with.

It is more risky for a woman to try that in Nigeria as the society. her family and the man's family would continue to remind her that she is only a baby mama, sometimes the man would also remind her she is a baby mama and not his wife...........make dat man con die and was somehow financially comfortable when alive, his relatives would remind her she was just a baby mama, never their wife.

nigerian men show their masculinity by behaving like boss... This statement sound like nigerian don't marry women who have some cash and assist the family.
Because i believe men are living fine with their women with no problem attached.. So ur husband telling u he's the man of the house is an oppression to you and u belive he is behaving like a boss? Over there everybody is a boss, and between the marriages over there and here which one crash most?
A lot of marriages in Nigeria have already crashed and moved to the next phase....cohabitation, till one of them is bold enough to walk out and end the pretence.

What is meaning of your (husband telling u what to do)
Communication, just like a wife telling her husband what to do with caring for their baby when she is not available but being coercive about it is a different realm.

Combining resources, cuts off unnecessary stress.

Any one who seeks "control" in marriage or dating, have underlying issues and is using it as a coping skill, though negative.

You are living in the past. Court is not a jungles. They deal with fact not emotions
I guess you are the one doing so.

Emotions is insisting on not catering for your children because they are under the custody of your Ex, who you know hate.

Fact is that you are their father irrespective of them being with their mother, you MUST provide for them while living with their mother.

Only a mad man would refuse to pay his kid's fees simply because he does not have custody. I am assuming he has his sense intact.
And such mad men plenty around us.

Some were bold enough to say before the cameras that they have moved on with another woman and can't combine responsibilities of their new homes with their children from previous marriage and the judge had severally asked them why go start a new family when children from the previous marriage can not be taken care of?

Whether or not they are together will he not foot the fees and expenses of his kids? That is a constant and has no bearing on the suggestion made by the person you quoted.

How and where her needs are met will not be any concern of his either.
And you have not even seen on Nigeria's justice court tv shown on Youtube, were fathers who refused to provide for their children because they don't have custody of them were dragged to the court? Or have you ever spent some time in welfare offices to observe the back and forth?

It's your home, I can't give you the best advice.

My suggestions are call her and understand why she intend to pick that job, if she is being honest with you, you can always negotiate with her. Alternative option is to slam your masculine hammer that you don't want her to pick any job or she move go her father house where she can do anything she wants.
And when they get to court, he would tell the judge that the end of the marriage was because she picked up a job against his wish and the court should grant him custody of their children.....las, las e go become bachelor again and the court mandating him to be regularly paying their children' school fees and sending their monthly upkeep money to the ex-wife who will later have another uncle who would be visiting her at home, taking care of her needs. cheesy cheesy cheesy cheesy

Inspire tourism could be one of them.

I personally love visiting Churches especially well maintained old structures. I recently visited an old Church here in the UK that was first built in the 12th century and rebuilt in the 14th century, St Mary the Virgin in Northampton and it was an awesome experience.
Health › Re: Medical Staff Desert Hospitals As Nigerian Doctors Flood Egypt, Uganda, Others by Mindlog:
I don't blame healthcare professionals who seek better pay and more conducive working conditions.

State governments can make huge foreign currencies by structuring the training of their indigenes into healthcare professionals at a very subsidized cost with the focus on exporting their skills upon being certified and get their "sign on fees" from foreign agencies and medical facilities who would recruit them and every month for the next 5 years those indigenes who are working as doctors, nurses and allied health professionals trained by the state government should be remitting a fixed amount in foreign currencies to the coffers of the state government and should be used to subsidize the training of others.

The remittance they would regularly be making to their families back home, would translate to a bigger economy for the State. buildings and business investments would be popping up at a faster rate in the State but our leaders are busy gallivanting the world deceiving Nigerians that they are seeking investors.
Family › Re: Am I Being Unreasonable Or Is My Wife Selfish? by Mindlog: 7:26am On Sep 17, 2023
From the write up, it is all about what you want wife to be.....she is your wife and an adult, not your child.

That she studied accountancy does not mean she wants to practice as an accountant. She loves to cook and bake does not mean she will not like going out to work for an organization, it is part of her self-actualization and can always have her catering business as a side gig.

When she gets an office job, you both should work out how you both would be available for the children as there are many couples who both work 9 to 5 and still, their children do not lack parental care and affection.

Politics › Re: It Will Take Igbos 20-25 Years Of Hard Work To Produce President – Joe Igbokwe by Mindlog:
Let Igbos continue to be " “onlookers in the Nigerian project.”' while other tribes who have had their people as Presidents continue to enjoy their world class road networks, schools, healthcare services, 24/7 electricity, low unemployment rate..

Igbos as a people should not waste their next 20–25 years of hard work aiming to produce the president of Nigeria, they should rather channel it to continue building their human capital resources and infrastructure in the South East.

Northwest has produced Shagari, Abacha, Yar'dua and Buhari but going by the data of NBS, the poverty and illiteracy rate in that region is bone chilling......a state from that region some years ago between 20111 and ,2015 was only able to produce 65 indigenes who got admitted to study medicine in Nigerian universities in a particular year while Imo state alone had 1,500 of her indigenes admitted for the same medicine.

Igbokwe should not weep for the Igbos but should weep for himself and his children.

Your brother might actually have mental issues, you said he has been like this all his life, have you people ever thought about taking him to a psychologist. Like you have noted his behavior is not normal.
His behaviour is "normal" for most eldest sons who messed up in life while they see their younger ones doing well in life.
Family › Re: Need Help: Degenerate Older Brother Traumatizing Parents by Mindlog:
Hmm....seems he is the first son and was handled with kids glove during his formative years. I believe by now, your parents have reported him to your kinsmen and your traditional ruler.

I know folks who have bundled their younger brothers who are just like your elder brother and got them forcefully admitted into govt run psychiatric hospitals (which though is not right) and settled the hospital management with good amount of money to have their younger brothers kept there at least for 4 months. cheesy cheesy cheesy cheesy cheesy

It is the work of the Ministry of Health in a state to fish out quacks.NMA is just a professional body.
I belong to a professional body, the British Psychological Society and I work here in the UK with that membership. As long you are visible, the BPS makes sure you are what you claim to be because they easily track you, employers easily verify from them and if you are not, you have a criminal case to answer in court even if you are a member and have unprofessional conducts against you and if found guilty after investigation, you get deregistered and your name will be publicized on their website.

Because of the high level of quackery in the Nigerian medical sector, the NMA should be smart enough to create an app where Nigerians request the license number of the doctor who is involved in their health issues, once they key the number in, the name, the current picture and the specialty of the doctor etc should pop up as that would go a long way.

Tundelagos:
but why do people worry themselves for another person's problem , Ugandans live simple lives , unlike Nigerian wey everything na packaging and at the end nothing to show for , some people choose to marry 7 and decides not to have external affairs after marriage . It's joice, the white man came with bible and gave you the idea of one man one wife , how is it working out for them currently with divorces on a steady basis . Africans should be Africans and we should stop copying other peoples culture , that would tell you that Christ is white so they can look superior to you, and the real fact is that Christ was black . Omo if i see chance marry six sef I go marry .
I have worked in East Africa, it is not about Africans being Africans but regenerating poverty.

I vividly recall working in a region in Uganda and we went for assessment tour in some areas as the international agency I worked for had a project centred around childhood nutrition, seeing homesteads with a man with 4-6 wives and tens of children in dire living conditions, talking about how happy they are that the burden has been lessened by their teenage daughters being taken across the border to Kenya to work as househelps and assist in"restaurants".

Marry as many wives as you want to and birth children as many as you want, my question is what do you have as a solid backup as social security so that should you become incapacitated because of poor health or outright demise, are your children assured of not dropping out from school, they would not become homeless, they won't be shared out to relatives and strangers and it is important to note that a man having many wives does not mean he would not have side chicks....Many Alhajis with 4 wives, still have side chicks.
