"It was when was after the successful surgery my brother told me that his wife brought the test result from another lab, reason being that he was busy when they were supposed to go for the test together".....Too busy doing what? He knows he is already AS and was lackadaisical about the testing and the now wife got to scam him.😠

Even in the Catholic church, that is enough ground to dissolve the marriage because of deceit.

My main interest is the baby, is the genotype known?

Correct. There are even some inherited conditions that women give to their sons that can be deadly but doesn't affect daughters. It is carried in the genes of a woman but becomes a problem when passed on to a son.
An example is Haemophilia A. It is genetically X chromosome linked. Since girls have XX chromosome, even if faulty gene is inherited from mother, the other good X one from the father compensates for it. So the blood clotting Factor XIII absent in affected boys will be still present in girls despite carrying the gene. Even up to our genes, we men dey help women instead of men. So man na simp right up to the gene. grin cheesy

My belief is that there are a lot more unknown (vast but currently unquantifiable) compensations females benefit genetically through XX genes which men don't have. Oestrogen definitely has a protective role in women. You can see the effect post-menopausal as hormones levels drop increasingly.

More scientifically, epigenetic clock has been used quite well to examine biological aging. This is insightful in Taiwos and Kehindes who are male and female. The clock tracks methylation of DNA (among other indictors) in many mixed gender twins as biological markers of aging process.

These indictors can be roughly predict likely of developing medical conditions, metabolic diseases, autoimmune, cancer, etc at an earlier or older age. This roughly indicates actual biological age compared to chronological age (how long ago one was born). Biological ages of someone born in 1950 and 1960 may be similar. That's why some people live longer, assuming no fatal accident.

Of course lifestyle plays a part. In places where more men gave up smoking over the last few decades, life expectancy of men improved. Finland is an example.
You just took me back to my undergrad Health Psychology class! :😆😆😆

“Hippos usually ravage our farms. The government has banned us from killing them. We see them destroying our crops but the government has warned us about killing or harming them".....So odd to read that Nigerian government is protecting wildlife.😲

Government should pay them compensation, that is best practice.

Is this a fact only because men generally have more co-morbidities? undecided
One of the reasons and also men are less likely to go for testing and when results comes back positive, poor medication adherence in men (women are more likely to religously take their medications) and men find it difficult to readjust their lifestyles to the reality of their health status and of note, men find it difficult discussing their health issues both physical and mental with those around as it tends to make some of them feel weak or effeminate as against most women who don't feel embarrassed discussing what is ailing them as they don't feel judged

Talking has been normalized by women and it has been one of their survival skills.

That is Health Psychology 101.🤣🤣🤣

Hmmmmm. . . . .Food for thought.
Surely, this factor alone can be eliminated or curtailed, the chances of lengivity could be improved.
There are too many 'single' grandmothers around me for sure.
That is it. Just like HIV, more women get infected by it than men but more men die from its complications than women.

So men are doomed for early fatality? undecided
That is the reality on ground, which is evidence-based.

Then adding the poor health seeking behaviours prevalent in men, gone too soon
is inevitable.
Family › Re: Why Are Women Outliving Men? by Mindlog: 1:29pm On Jan 22, 2023
Biologically from the onset, the XX make up of females gives them a protective advantage when it comes to survival, reason boys are more likely to be stillborn than girls and under 5 infant mortality is more prevalent in boys.

So from conception, childhood, adolescenthood, adulthood to old age.....males die earlier.

Hihihihihiii.. that meme was so on point
Though it was cut and paste, to make people laugh but in reality it hurts kids when they come to full consciousness of the fact that they were initially rejected, at the baby's age it is easier to make amend if the mother is willing but some showing up years after and wanting to force themselves into the child's life is sheer stupidity.

If any of you two takes it up and it ends up in court, you will pay for your son's upkeep likewise his school fees. That your wife is not going to continue to live under the same roof with you, does not give you the right to cease paternal responsibility towards the child you both share

Watch some episodes on estranged husband and wife, baby daddy and babymama cases aired on Justice Court under Lagos State Jurisdiction to have a clue, what judgement will be like.

Actually the real exchange rate conversion for KSh 2 million is N11.6m not N7.4 million.

I feel for the woman, after spending 9 years in Saudi Arabia working as a house help under inhumane conditions, her daughter squandered all her sweat.

The woman ought to have been requesting the monthly bank statement be forwarded to her but fact is, she could easily have easily operated her own Kenya bank account and Mpesa, right there in Saudi Arabia but I guess she thought it was safer with her daughter, should anything happen to her in Saudi Arabia.

Let it be organic. Physically engage in social activities, chat with random persons you meet there without giving out detailed info about yourself.

Gradually, you develop becoming at ease with people being around you without first thinking they want something from you.

Having good friends is good for the mind, people you can feel free around and remembering them, makes you smile.

They never have and they never will, I repeat if Obi gets 20k votes in total from these states in south west(oyo, ogun, Ondo, ekiti, osun) , as in 20 thousand votes, make motor jam me.

Not 20k in each state, I mean 20k cumulative, make motor jam me.

These online Igbos don't know Obasanjo wan scam them, God bless the wise Igbo leaders endorsing Atiku.

Atiku is coming
You are still pained that the regular votes PDP used to be sure of from the igbos have been taken away. cheesy cheesy cheesy

Just make sure you inform your family, so when you get hit they wouldn't blame it on your village village and would quietly arrange your burial.

Igbos living in Ibadan alone are in tens of thousands...... Gone too soon, foolishly. cheesy cheesy

When she knew the family planning had Been removed, she and her husband should have halted sexual relations until a suitable one is pit in place.
I once offered to take someone like her to family planning,I didnt see her again. Imagine a woman going to her 1st daughters house for omugwo with her own baby.

She should release the babies for Adoption.Thats the only remedy.
It is nothing new in some communities. Way back I had a coursemate in the Uni, his nephew is older than him and 2 years ahead of us in school. My coursemate's mother' was pregnant with him when she went for omugwo for her granddaughter/his niece. So both nephew and niece are older than their uncle.
